We frequently need to reorder our email versions in multi-version emails, and sometimes need to move the default version within the order, based on how the waterfall logic is applied (first, then second, then third, etc.). See this related post for more: The problem:Sometimes we need to name the default, but don’t want to include “default” in the version name. Other times, we may want to have a different version (maybe the LAST version in the email) be the default.Proposed solution:It would be awesome if there was a way for us to indicate by checking a box or selecting a single-select option in the version list (see my mockup below) to indicate which version we wanted users to receive in cases where a different variant needed to be sent if a participant failed all the other logic, or if we just wanted to know which version was the default without having to specify it in the version name (which may be used in reporting).
Hi,The Freshdesk connector job somehow does NOT support the picklist data type and converts those to strings, which renders data extraction and usage operations sometimes a bit clunky since, as we all know: a string is static, a picklist isn’t as static. Because of this, for fields like priority or product, I have to type in the exact name of the value in Freshdesk to build reports, filters and use the data in the slightest way. That’s prone to breaking any second because relying on a static string isn’t in fact reliable or sustainable. We need the Freshdesk connector to support data types as they come from Freshdesk instead of converting them to string, as it makes 0 sense. Use case: it needs to honor the source data type to not worsen #adminqol and maintenance efforts. A
In lieu of modifying the People page, please add an activation report to your suite of reports on the Analysis page:Include the ability to filter-by Group by Created Date by Activation Date by Activation Status Total Count by Activation Status
Gainsight CE: In order to provide activation details to our customer managers, add a “Group” filter to the People page, and add the ability to multi-select people to export.
Calling out reports and report builder but there might be other areas this comes up. Problem: I’m looking at a report built by someone else and I’m trying to figure out what object it’s created from. I can do this from reports in a couple of ways:- The report itself on the left shows the name of the object- Report builder adding the Source Object column The problem is that when it comes to Data Designer MDAs, and maybe other objects as well, these do not always match object names in Data Management or Data Designer. Example:What I see in the report: What I see in Report Builder: What I see in Data Management: What I see in Data Designer And no, neither of these are the API name of the object either. I have to manually validate that what I think I’m looking at is what I’m actually looking at on published, actively refreshing DDs. Request: Please update object and field name metadata throughout Gainsight. I assume the name of this DD has updated several times after initial instantiation. This is a really basic ask that I can’t believe I have to make. Either pick the API or Display name for something and when it changes, update the reference wherever it is used in the system.
In the new dynamic JO, any time I update my audience, I’m being asked to “Click the element to complete the configuration.” This is quite time consuming, if I have already done all the mapping, and have made a tweak. If I make a change to my query, I want my mapping to stay in tact unless I have made direct changes to fields that are referenced in the elements. Sometimes I'm being asked to map fields I already mapped, that didn't change with my query. Other times, it's just needing me to click into it and save again with no change. In the old JO, if the field mapping remained the same, I was never asked to re-map anything.
The Support team have confirmed this would be a feature request. This is a pretty crucial one that I’d be surprised if others weren’t experiencing, as we have actually been losing money for our business due to this problem. When you create a Renewal Opportunity using an Action Card in the Analyze screen, it pulls through the current ARR into the Target field. But it doesn’t pull through any decimal places (cents/pennies)!! So even if it’s for e.g. 5000.99 we lose nearly a whole dollar for each customer at renewal, as we quote our customers based on their current ARR + an annual percentage increase.
Hard to succinctly sum this up in the subject line, but here is some context: Context: this is about editable fields on a CTA layout where you can add columns to search by, and filters and filter logic to control the results that can be returned:Example for context In this example I have a field I’ve added to the CTA. I have a few searchable fields, and a number of filters and some advanced logic. The Problem: The filter criteria and logic only apply AFTER the CTA has been fully created. During the process of CTA creation, end-users could search for anything even if it doesn’t match the filter logic applied to the search. Only after creating the CTA and returning to it would the criteria apply. Consider the existing workflow now:Admin sets up search criteria to curate results End-User starts to make a CTA Because the results during CTA creation are not curated, end-users at this stage may enter something in that may or may not be correct OR they will have to: Save the CTA Return to/reopen the newly created CTA Search/input the now curated info into the field search.VS the ideal state.Admin sets up search criteria to curate results End-User starts to make a CTA End-User searches via the curated list and can create the CTA successfully.Desired Outcome: Have search filter criteria honored during the creation process of the CTA, not just once it is fully created. This likely isn’t an issue just with CTAs, but this type of behavior really adds a burden to the end-users by adding extra steps, or by negating this configurability altogether by allowing the search criteria to so easily be circumvented. I understand that this is currently as designed, because the CTAs aren’t created yet, but this seems like a basic need for any manually created CTA.
It would be great if we could pull a subject line into the plug-in log. Currently it pulls into the email subject line which is great but sometimes a client will switch topics within an email and when I log the email into the timeline, it would be ideal to change the subject myself so that when I go back to look through my GS Timeline it's a little bit more organized.
This has confused me a few times, but when you are in Data Management and load up the Dependencies for a given table, it defaults to showing you the results the last time you ran it for that object. I’ve also seen different fetch times depending on the field in the object I’m looking at.For example, I’m going to Dependencies for the first time today and pulled the list for Field A, and this is the Updated On date for those dependencies:If I’m checking dependencies today, why would I want them accurate as of yesterday? I’ve seen it months old as well. I’m glad it displays the datetime and lets me refresh. But it should refresh when I open the Dependencies automatically.
It is our best practice to log certain Timeline Activities to the Company and Relate them to the Relationships. I need to create a Global Dashboard filter based on an ID of the Relationship, however, I can only see a Company lookup. The WHO/WHAT resolution that is available in data Designer and other places in Gainsight is not available in the Dashboard Global Filter configuration. Please address this product gap so the Global filters will work as expected in this scenario.
We have a suggestion from a customer to not use iframes in the product to embed pages. They say Iframes is an old technology and many sites dont allow their pages to be opened in iframes due to security reasons eg prone to clickjacking. We have seen many other customers complaining about not being able to open many links in embed pages, which actually doest solve the purpose of the feature.
When creating / editing CTAs it would be beneficial to have values autofill based on other selected values. For example, on Stage field if a CSM selects Stage 1 then the Phase field should auto select Phase 1 on an immediate basis just like the event framework.
I’d love to see a similar flag on Timeline Activities with external attendees when opting to “Share via Email” that is enabled on Customer Cheat Sheet:Obviously, would still want to be able to send, but a red banner across the top of an email alerting the user that they are potentially sending internal information to an external user would be very beneficial.
Users are able to add their own columns to drilldown reports. This should be controllable by admins, e.g. whether to allow addition of any field or only those from a subset preselected, similar to Home → Portfolio. The same should apply to my other Idea here:
Similar to Home → Portfolio, it would be nice to allow users the ability to add their own columns (from a pre-defined group of columns) on tabular reports. They already have the ability to do this on drilldowns (though not from a pre-defined group of columns, separate idea coming about this), so why not allow it on tabular reports too?
Hello! Minor fine-tune to how emails logged to Timeline from JO programs appear in the UI. In the screenshot below, you can see that the “kabob” icon lines up almost exactly with the start of the body text of the email itself. This makes it tricky to spot, and it looks a little sloppy. Adding some padding between the menu icon, which is not part of the email body, and the start of the body text would clean this up nicely.
In the Horizon Email Template folder feature set, oneCannot move a sub-folder from one main folder to another Observes the folders do not sort alphabetically, but appear to be in the order created or last modifiedPlease bring consistency--and therefore intuitiveness and scale--to the Horizon Email Template folder structure by having its behavior match the other Gainsight CS product areas with folders (Rules Engine, Reports, Dashboards, Programs). The ability to move sub-folders is helpful when moving groups of templates. Perhaps several email templates on a similar theme are being decommissioned. The ability to move an entire folder into an “Archive” main folder would speed up administration. Having folders sort alphabetically is just plain intuitive. That they don’t currently…..someone help me understand that decision. It’s especially helpful to have the folders in the Email Template area sort alphabetically and be easily reorganized because this is one area where the folder structure is seen by Gainsight End Users, when they are utilizing templates in Email Assist and Gainsight Assist.
Academy registration emails and the Learning Path enrollment emails go out at the same time because they are automatically enrolled when they are added to the LMS. When they look in their email inboxes, the Learning Path notification email typically sits on top of the Academy registration email, so they end up opening the Learning Path email first and attempt to access their courses before they register, and receive an error. IDEA: Add verbiage to the standard course/learning path enrollment notification that tells them they need to register to become a user of the Academy before attempting to access courses or learning paths.
As an administrator, I have two additional Email Nudge use cases:Users Not activated within a certain timeframe and within a specific group. Users who’ve activated but not attempted to access any learning path or courseRequirements for Not Activated Learners:Add an email nudge for User Status = Inactive Add filters for ‘Created Date’ range and ‘Groups’. Add ‘Nudge After’ and ‘Nudge Frequency’ fields.Requirements for Active Learners who have not attempted any learning path/course:Add an email nudge for learners with Learning Path > Attempt Start = null Add filters for ‘Enrolled Date’ range and ‘Groups’. Add ‘Nudge After’ and ‘Nudge Frequency’ fields.
In an organization in which not every user has access to PX or to share with a customer who may not have a PX license, it would be helpful to enable PX users/admins to seamlessly export Dashboards and their associated report/widget data externally (PDF, PPT, excel, etc.). Currently, this requires the PX user to manually capture images of the dashboard/widgets and export the csv data, then merge this in a single sheet/presentation. As these are images, it is not possible to drill into the data. Use Case: PX usage data is needed by a member of the organization who does not have PX access or this information needs to be shared with a customer. The dashboard and associated reporting is created in PX then shared externally for data transparency.
Hi Team, It would be helpful to be able to build a Report to have an overview of what reports are currently being shared, when it is being shared, and what emails it is being shared with. This would give our admins the ability to audit where their data is being sent and how often. Thanks!
