The product updates summary currently pulls in the content from the article into a block of text and can be confusing to the the user. To improve the user experience, it would be nice if the summary could pull in the formatting from the article.
It would be great to provide options for our community users (i.e. not just admin, moderators, etc in Control) to resize the images they attach to their posts/replies/comments as shown the attached screenshot below: There was an idea that is marked as resolved which only allows for image resizing in Control by admin and moderators:I’d like to see a resize option for regular users.
The workflow for moderating Reported Content is confusing. In the Control Home > Contents > Reported Content queue we are currently experiencing the following workflow. I’ve included suggested opportunities for improvements in sub-bullets in bold:A topic (post/comment) is Reported The topic is added to the Reported Content moderation queue The topic is still visible to the public Expected: Add an admin option to hide topics/content that are reported, until it has been moderated. Moderators goes to Reported Content queue in Control Home, and selects the item(s) to moderate: If Moderators clicks Resolve, the topic remains published. In other words, “resolved” is the equivalent of approving the post as legitimate. If Moderators clicks Trash, the topic is sent to the Trash can, and the topic is unpublished. However, the topic remains in the Reported queue, until the moderator click Resolved. This isn't intuitive. Expected: Remove the “Resolve” button. The "Resolved" button is too generic and provides uncertainty in the workflow. Add an “Approve” button (or equivalent) that unflags the topic if it is considered legitimate and incorrectly reported. If the reported item is spam/not legitimate, have the “Trash” button remove the selected items from Reported Content and into Trash, and provide a prompt asking if we want to Ban the user, and confirming our action. If it’s currently not possible to implement the above, I’d recommend adding a status to each of the items in reported contents to indicate if 1) the item is visible or hidden from users, 2) if the item has been Trashed. Something like this: Value/Use-case:We currently have some items stuck in our Reported Content queue. When we select items and click Trash in the Reported Content page, we get an error saying "Something went wrong. Please try again". I have a feeling the following occurred (I’ll be reporting this to Gainsight support): We have multiple moderators, and I'm assuming someone Trashed these items in Reported Content but didn't click Resolve. The Trash Can has been emptied. Now there's no way of knowing the status of the Reported items. If I click Resolve, in the Reported Contents, I have no idea if those posts have already been trashed, or will clicking Resolve approve those items as legitimate posts and will they get unflagged.I also found this Idea which provides some good suggestions around flagged content, which I’m assuming is similar to the current Reported Content:
Hi Team, Today while working and scrolling through I had this thought that it would be really helpful and insightful if we can have a small box pop up with some basic information when we hover over names of company, relationship, CTAs, SPs. Right now if I have to see any kind of details regarding the company/relationship/CTA/SP I have to click the name and then a new page would open up taking me to respective C360/R360?CTA/SP page. But it would be really helpful if we can have a small box pop up when we hover over a name displaying some basic info that can be customizable by admins.
Idea I'd like to propose to move the Edit-option next to the other options that are visualized directly on the screen (or some other way of informing the user that this option is present).ReasonSince 2 weeks, our Community members are able to edit their own ideas or reactions within 60 minutes of creation, as mentioned here:After this, I received feedback that many Community members don't even know this option exists, because it is tucked away behind the 3 dots. If you've got it, flaunt it 😉.
Hello Everyone,While using Slack Action in the dynamic JO program, there is a limitation in pushing the text answers from a survey to Slack. In the attached screenshot, it can be seen that there are no available text answer fields to tokenize in the survey fields while editing a message in the Slack actionIt would be really helpful if there were a way to post the text answers from a survey to Slack using re-designed JO.
When searching right now the only results that come up in Gainsight CE are courses. Would like Events and Learning Paths to also be included When searching now the words must match exactly, having some suggested spellings or searching for near matches would be very helpful
It would be great to include the parent category name alongside the category name in the “Posted in” description displayed on each post within the tabs widget - it would help distinguish which post is relevant to a user who uses X product.Maybe something like “Posted on [parent category name] in [category name]” or something to that effect - maybe even a pill against each post distinguishing the parent category name, just something that clarifies every type of post’s exact location.
It would be great to have the option to include article excerpts on the list view page for the knowledge base. We use some of our knowledge bases as resource hubs, featuring product guides, etc., and it would be helpful for members to be able to see a brief summary of what’s in the guide (or article) before clicking on it. Ideally, this would be provided as a new field on the article creation page in Control.
It would be hugely helpful if the team notes field was searchable, especially for Ideas. Our team uses Productboard to track feature statuses, and we use the team notes field on individual ideas to record the link to the corresponding idea. It would be great if when I received notification that feature’s status has changed if I could search for the link in Control to locate the idea quickly. Sometimes a submitted idea may have a different title from its corresponding feature (if, for example, it is part of a larger feature to be built or if it is actually multiple features submitted in one idea), and it can make it challenging to find the right ideas submission to update. Thanks!
We would like to be able to change the settings for the Gainsight Assist plugin to make the “Log to Timeline” checkbox be check automatically.
Report that shows the age of an article as well as likes, content helpfulness This will help community managers keep an eye on articles that need updating
Hello!Yesterday, I crafted a nice looong reply to a recent product update here in Gainsight community. When I clicked “send”, my reply text was gone and the error message said: “This value is too long. It should have 50000 characters or less.” I cried a bit internally 😓My ideas:What about informing the users that their answer will be too long (and gone) BEFORE they hit the send/post/create button? Maybe via a counter similar to the counter in Google Translate?Maybe graying out the send/post/create button if content is too long?I tried it out in my staging community: Answers in Product updates are limited to 50000 chars, in topics to 30000.btw: Is there a list somewhere with all character limitations according to content type...? Thanks!
While encountering error on the GS community,- best to retain the reply/message already prepared on the editing screen, to allow corrections, rather than 'erased' them / cannot be seen anymore.
'Analytics consumption is a broader usecase than just the Community ManagerSo could we have capabilities:for folks with privileges to the Admin console: Ability to
We’re looking into using putting a “People” related list into the C360, now that Gainsight supports inline editing for Person/Company Person records. We like the inline editing functionality a lot and also like that we can enable that editing on a field-by-field basis. However, there are some weird inexplicable quirks that are holding us back from rolling this out, all of which are different than how regular related lists in the Report Builder function, which is frustrating. Here’s a list of some stuff I’ve noticed: Sorting is not sticky. This is probably the most frustrating. I simply want to have the People section sort by name from A-Z every time our CSMs go in there. Can’t do it. It always resets to some random order. Nothing else is sticky either. Unlike Report Builder, I can’t resize the columns and make them sticky. Filters that CSMs add to the report aren’t sticky either, but apparently that’s the case in Report Builder reports too. The Filtering interface is inconsistent. As I’ve pointed in this Community post, this is a constant issue in the product and shows up again here. URLs behave weirdly. In Report Builder, URL fields simply require one click - like you would expect - to take you to the link. In the People section, there’s weird intermediate step that makes no sense (see gif).
Hi there,Going straight to community for this one. Currently, the description field in CSQLs, which can combine data from up to 15 fields from Company, Relationship and Person doesn’t seem to support rich text fields to be included in the pre-generated description.Company > Summary unavailable in Description field setupRelationship > Comments unavailable in Description field setupBut the fields in which we write up a customer summary are commonly:Summary standard field (company) Comments standard field (relationship). We actually would need this rather frequently because the company or relationship profile already contains key information seen from a CS perspective, it’s already summarized and it’s silly to have type it up again to pass it to Salesforce in the CSQL.Please consider this request for enhancement.PS: I’m already implementing this “feature” with workarounds only, and yes, the summary or comments field could be parsed with a concatenation with a rule but it would render as a mess in the description field on the Salesforce side. Thanks. A
EXAMPLE: we have an attribute field called sub onboarding type, there has been cases where we need to do manual updates. In this example, it would be in relationship R360 under one of the tabs. In GS knowledgebase, it references being able to mass edit in My portfolio, however, the needed field are not able to be brought in this pre-build widget. So we are trying to find a better way to do inline editing for objective that’s high volume. It is often very time consuming to click in each customer, then relationship, then the attribute type for each customer to make this update. Is there a better way to make this update without using rules or automation?
Feature parity is a common issue that admins raise through community. A big one that has yet to be addressed is the report builder/dashboard builder of Adoption Explorer vs the report builder/dashboard builder of the regular CS tool. There are many differences, but one I’ll highlight here is the inability to edit the drill down of an adoption explorer report. For example, I’ve built a line graph and I’d like the graph to include more details in the drill down. I’m clicking on the report, as I would in regular report builder, in order to bring up the drill down that I can configure, but nothing appears. Apparently, I’m not able to configure the drill down?Improve parity between Adoption Explorer report/dashboard building & regular report/dashboard building.
