With recent usage of the multi-question survey, we ran into limitations in not being able to see individual user responses in Gainsight PX analytics. This resulted in having to download the raw data in CSV and find a way to access the raw data to find out how a particular user(s) responded (outside of Gainsight platform) Sharing 2 ideas for improved usability for multi-question survey analytics:See individual user responses in the visible data for survey analytics Filter shown users by response type (example: for a question with a yes/no response, we could click on the graph data for “yes” and see ONLY listed users that had responded with yes)
In Brief : Ability to delete company Person records automatically when that person is no longer an active contact. Purpose of request : Records still residing in the Company Person table and thus populating in C360 view, even though they're not re-imported from Salesforce. So, request is to have a way to delete records fitting a certain criteria using the rules engine or some other piece of automation.
Issue: Gainsight throws an error for “Invalid number value” when a number formatted with commas is entered into a number field. For example, then number 56,000 is not accepted: The user’s value is not saved and must be re-entered without the comma formatting. Proposal: Allow formatted numbers to be entered into number fields.
I’d really like to see a consistent filtering experience across every feature in Gainsight. I know this might be asking a lot, but right now the experience is so disjointed across so many different features, why not just shoot for the moon right off the bat? Also, I know there is a similar post to this about making filtering options uniform - i.e. including “next N days” on every filter, but I believe my post is a little more comprehensive. I’ll start by saying there are so many filters across the Gainsight platform that there’s a good chance I’ve missed a few examples. Please add anything I missed in the comments! But here’s what I’ve come up with thus far: Rules Engine list Data Management Data Permissions Journey Orchestrator Programs Journey Orchestrator Emails Global Timeline Unification Success Plans Cockpit Gainsight Home Report Builder DashboardsI think the most efficient way to do this is to break it down by issue, which includes the following: Inconsistent icons Some filtering experiences show a filter icon, some show “modify filter”, some show “advanced filter” etc. Inconsistent formatting This is a big one. First of all, some filters show everything in alphabetical order - i.e. our “CSM” lookup is sandwiched between “CSAT Last Updated” and “City” whereas in other areas all the lookups appear at the bottom of the list. In some areas such as Data Steward and Data Permission, the format is especially ugly, plus only a few fields are initially available to use as filters. To add more, you have to individually add fields in an obscure area of the module. In most modules, the filtering screen shows up on the right side, but on some (e.g. success plans and cockpit) it shows up center-left. Extra clicks In Data Management and the Rules Engine in particular, you have to click “Add Filter” right after you click on the Filter icon. Why?? Clicking on the filter icon should just automatically bring up the filter screen. As mentioned above, having to add fields in areas such as Data Permissions and Data Steward is very cumbersome. “Views” vs. Filters This is something I’ve never noticed until recently, but it’s confusing and sometimes limiting. For example, in the Rules Engine, we’re able to choose “All Rules” “Horizon Rules” “Bionic Rules” “Active Rules” and “Inactive Rules” in the dropdown right above the list of rules. The filter screen gives us some more options, such as “source object,” “target object,” etc. However, there is no filter option for “active vs. inactive” or “horizon vs. bionic”, so when I recently tried to simply filter my rules list to find all my inactive bionic rules, I wasn’t able to! This is crazy. Can’t we unify this somehow? Inconsistent Operators The Rules Engine does not offer an “exclude” option, for example. This can be quite limiting. Sometimes I find myself needing this but having to settle instead for checking rules individually. In Data Permissions, for example, the UI of the operators just look completely different than other areas of the product. And now, I’ll include some screenshots with some captions that hopefully illustrate some of theissues/frustrations expressed above.I had to record a GIF on this one. Timeline is the only place I found where it actually has BOTH the alphabetical formatting of fields AND the lookups clustered at the bottom depending on which object you source. The dropdown experience here seems odd. Why not just keep the filtering experience consistent and have a filter icon that pops up on the right side of the screen?Another Data Management screenshot, this time from the “Data” tab. Note the alphabetical field layout again. Also, once you click the filter icon, it brings you to another blank white screen that says “add filter,” which is redundant and an extra unnecessary click. This is a Journey Orchestrator email screenshot. Note that this type of experience seems to be unique to this screen where there’s a dropdown like this. Again with the inconsistency. JO Programs. Where does the purple ABCD box format come from?? This doesn’t appear anywhere else in the product. Also, again with the dropdown filters rather than a filter icon that pops up on the right side of the screen. As mentioned above, the Rules Engine does not offer an “excludes” filter, which would be super useful. As far as I can tell, Gainsight Home is the only place in the product where “Modify Filter” appears. Also, it shows the fields in alphabetical order, rather than cluster the lookup fields at the bottom. This might be the worst one. Success Plans have very limited filter options - i.e. in the Global Success Plan screen, I can’t filter on any Company field or really any field at all except the limited ones offered in the dropdowns. What’s the point of even having this page? Also, the dropdown format is inconsistent with the other ones shown above (JO Programs, MDA, etc.)Unlike Success Plans, Global Cockpit does offer the standard filtering options. However, that screen comes up in the center left of the screen rather than the right side, which is inconsistent with almost every other area of the product. This is from Data Steward. Clearly the format is totally screwed up. Also, there are no lookups available, and only a limited number of fields. If you want to add more fields, you have to go to an obscure page within that module to add them. Why??Similar to Data Steward, you have to add fields manually in order to have them available in Data Permissions. Also, the UI of the operators are totally different than everywhere else in the product (i.e. “in” and “nin” and even != where it’s otherwise spelled out as “not equal to.”This is from User Management. You just kind of have to know to click on that “A System Type in External, Internal” box after you click the upper right filter icon. Not intuitive at all. Also the fields are all alphabetical again. In order, this is the screenshot of Report Builder, Dashboard Builder, and Rules Engine. I don’t understand why we even need “views” like this in Admin screens. I get it for cockpit and Timeline where we might want to create views for our end users or end users might want to have easy-to-use views that they can quickly navigate to. But for Admins, this concept is useless. Just make it something we can filter on because it’s (a.) redundant and (b.) can actually be limiting - refer to my example above about not being able to filter on Inactive Bionic Rules.
We would like to be able to set business days on Journeys Delays. Today this is not possible. So, when we ask the system to wait 2 days to send the second email, in case the first email is triggered on Friday, we would like to trigger the second on Wednesday, and not Monday, but continue adding new customers to this Journey on a daily basis. Any advice on how to proceed with it?Thank you.
Currently, the only user that can edit a Timeline entry is the user that created said entry. It would be good if there was some kind of permission that would allow an admin to edit all Timeline entries, regardless of who created it. Is there anything like this on the roadmap?
I noticed that currently, Admins do not have a way to report on certain aspects of the Horizon AI data. One big example is, I’d like to be able to look at Cheat Sheet refresh numbers. Since refreshing Cheat Sheet data is a new step for CSMs to learn and incorporate into their workload, I would like to be able to have data to potentially trigger a CTA and help remind the CSMs to refresh their customers’ Cheat Sheet data. Additionally, I feel like there would be benefit to having access to the various Meeting Assist data points that are brought up: How many Gong Calls have been analyzed per month/quarter, for example. Or being able to pull in/track Meeting Assist data generated from calls with Customers who are at high risk for churn; or customers who require more attention due to their segment, things like that. There is so much actionable data that could be had from those insights that we do not have access to as end-user admins.
Hello Team,we have this functionality where the order of the admin page gets overridden once you make changes to the order on the c360 page. This means that all users need to rearrange the order manually. So, we need a reset button on c360 page to get back the predefined order defined at the admin level. Most of customer requested this feature to be enabled.
Some widgets allow for subtitles, others (like quick links) do not. It’d be nice ti make this standard across all widgets, similar to how title seems standard on nearly all widgets.
Quicklinks is the most use widget for me and I imagine many others. I’d love to see it updated to match some of the advanced customization/styling features available in newer widgets. Specifically: Subtitle option Widget Styling Background Color Any other widget styling added in the future
I really like the timeline and the way it has been evolving, especially now with the new Timeline tab that provides a holistic view of timeline entries. Logging a Timeline entry via CTA feels like it could be streamlined somewhat, because when you trigger a CTA for an EBR, as an example, the CTA entry itself is the tracker for the EBR activity - so flipping over to the Timeline tab (in the CTA), clicking Log a Meeting/Update, entering your title, notes, etc and saving it there - then going back to the Task and closing it out, feels like too many extra clicks (and every click counts!) Also you'll have those CSMs who, even if in the task we tell them to log a CTA Timeline entry will still go through the C360 timeline which then detaches it from the CTA. There is a great suggestion in the community already regarding Activity templates that have some pre-populated fields depending on the activity, but I would like to suggest taking it one step farther and creating a new "Timeline" Task Type in Playbooks specifically for activities. Then the Activity fields would be embedded in the Task directly - Subject pre-populated, Activity Date pre-populated (but editable), etc. Then when the task auto-saves, it would automatically be sync'd to Timeline. Saving a few extra clicks for the end user - as well. Mockup: I would also like to reiterate the need to prevent "Add Task" from adding tasks to the current CTA, instead have those be created as a new CTA.
We link CTAs to Opportunities and Cases. We would like to have the ability to link multiple opportunities or cases to a single CTA.Example scenario: To show the strategic plan in CTA that is influencing/being influenced by multiple opportunities/cases/or anyother object.
This one is right on the line between bug and enhancement request. When using the Internal / External Attendees search function in Timeline Activity entry, the search bar is not cleared of previously-entered text after a selection is made. This is annoying for users because the typical workflow for entering multiple attendees goes something like this…Click in the Attendee field and start a search Select the desired result from the list Enter another Attendee in the search field Repeat 1-3 until everyone is includedThe issue is that when the search results are NOT cleared, the user has to remove them manually which in itself is a little bit inconvenient, here’s the real problem with that: if users hit backspace one time too many, they delete every entry already selected in the field. That’s a much bigger snag, and causes frustration for many end users I’d imagine. Includes / IN operators on Dashboard global filters work the same way, except the search box DOES get cleared down after each selection is made, preventing the issues we see on Timeline entries. If we could extend that same behavior (clearing down the search box after a selection is made) to Timeline Attendee fields, it would fix a big gotcha in a super common workflow and I’m sure our users would appreciate it the refinement.
It would be beneficial if there were a place in the Report Settings to set a default number of records per page to show on each Report on a Dashboard. Currently, the default is set to 50 records per page and if you want to see more than that, you have to click the dropdown and change it to 100 or 200. This reverts back to the default 50 any time you refresh the page. Records Per PageThe ability to set the default for each report on the Dashboard would save a lot of time for users navigating these Reports regularly.
Currently, in Timeline Associated Records, Relationships can only be selected when they are under the same Company and of the same Relationship type. This is way too limiting (e.g., if you want to add an activity when you reached out to multiple accounts of the same product). We would like to be able to select any Relationship, as you are able to select any Company.
Hi Team, Currently, we do not have any indexing number on the datasets or actions in horizon rules, which would help us understand which dataset was created/will run first during execution. It would be great if we could include the numbering for the number of datasets created in the rule setup and in the actions part as well.
It would be nice to have a pop-up or email alert for customers to see when they are getting close to reaching their backfill limit.
Much like the CTA list views it would be beneficial to be able to edit and add your own objective list views (screenshot of the section of the success plan below). The use case is the end users would like to add a field and grouping as default to help them with managing and sharing their success plans The current solution is to have every user set it up manually and having to go out of your way to do something puts adoption at risk. Further in order to get new end users to adopt we would need to add it to training guides and hope everyone has the opportunity to use it the same way. I searched through community, blog posts, and engaged with GS support but did not see anything around this. I apologize if there is something like this currently out there.
In data space, while traversing from one object to another we display the lookup field names but not the base object names. Can we also display base object names for a better understanding. I have attached sample example in screenshot In filter condition, currently we support only 'AND' condition. Can we also have 'OR' criteria to be added as well.
My company has just made the move to Gainsight and so far it is great. It would be great to have a way to sync the original date/timestamp of an email in Gmail to the timeline. This would be for syncing older historical emails into the system. Currently the system uses the timestamp of when the email was actually synced. If I’m bringing in an email from a few weeks ago I would like Gainsight to add Gmail’s timestamp of the original time the email was sent.
As PX grows popularity within product, success and marketing teams it can be difficult to keep track on who is working on what and what engagements are being launched. We’d love to see the ability to have an approval flow! This would allow any user to create/design engagements but before they go live, it goes to a group of specified administrators for review (to make sure it meets and brand guidelines and has the correct audience/frequency) and approval/rejection.Perhaps for different products and environments (i.e - Product 1 - Production or Product 2 - Staging) there can also be the option for different approvers. This would be useful as you may allow everyone to launch in a QA environment but not in production without following an approval flow.
