Segment NPS Cohorts for Surveys

This idea stemmed from a customer call who wanted to place certain customers in a segment for NPS, such as Q3 2019. It can be cumbersome to add individual accounts on the Segment functionality in PX and keep track of which accounts were added or were not. OLD METHOD (Example) Create segment called "NPS Q3 2019" Add 20 accounts to be targeted for a Q3 NPS survey Add specific segment in the Audience criteria of survey engagement, and launch survey As you can see, this process can be cumbersome and may result in more errors. REVISED METHOD Instead of adding each individual customer, an alternative solution that's more scalable and time efficient is to: Add custom attribute for accounts -- it can be boolean or string field [list] String example: NPS Q3 '19 Boolean example: NPS (Yes / No) You can then use the Data Loader and update the account attributes. Then you'll target your audience by the account attributes for your NPS

Using + in a selector doesnt work?

The span element above has the unique “for” attribute so I was trying to use that as a way to target. I’ve tried the following selectors...Neither of which worked. Tip of the week: How to add dynamic URLs/Button hyperlinks to your PX Engagements

Did you know that you can add dynamic URLs/Button links to your PX Engagements?  Just like how you can use tokens to include PX User/Account attribute values to personalize your in-app messaging (e.g. “Hi Link from Pittsburgh, please take my important survey!”), you can also use those PX User/Account attribute values to craft a personalized URL or Button link for the user to visit. There are many use cases for this, but in this simple example I will pass the PX User’s email address at the end of a hard-coded hyperlink as shown below… And, here is how it looks for a user in-app… And clicking the Button leads the user to this page… Imagine if you will that URL leading the user to a custom dashboard you built just for them, or some custom application that auto-logins as them, or some marketing site where you not only want to have personalized content, but also track which users visited, etc. etc. etc.. The possibilities for using this technique in your PX Engagements may not be infinite,

KC Bot badge update

Hi Folks,I’ve noticed and received feedback that the KC Bot icon is now showing a number when users log into a platform that has the KC Bot enabled.I don’t see any way to adjust this and I can’t find any materials indicating that changes would occur for this customer facing button. Does anyone have details on this?

Maximum Timeout after first step in the Funnel

I’m interested to know what is the maximum timeout after first step (in minutes) in the funnel?I’ve put now 20160 min (14 full days) and it seems PX is accepting it, but I’d still like to know what’s the max value can go. Btw, 14 days is how much our free-trial lasts so we want to see if the user went through all of the steps in that period.

Will running backfill override history or add to history?

Hi there! Imagine that I have a product mapping on a specific ID attribute, and I edit the mapping by replacing the ID. For example, I collected 1 month of data on the selector #button1, and now I change the mapping to #button2.Then I run backfill.Will the data for the past month be erased and replaced with click volume on #button1, or will the #button2 be added to the #button1 data for the past month?Thanks!

Can you launch an engagement based on a link in an email?

You sure can! I want to share the process and some best practices to follow as your consider expanding your success toolset with this powerful idea.First, within audience logic of an engagement, you may have noticed the option for ‘Query Parameters’. This is an element of a URL and typically helps to pass certain information from page to page. However, we can also hijack it to tell PX that the user signing in needs to be treated differently. Using PX as an example, if I wanted to push a guide to a customer based on an email I sent them, the clickable link would be something like "https://app.aptrinsic.com/dashboard?refer=email". The parameter 'refer' and value 'email' do not mean anything to the system, so it ignores them. However, the PX Engagement rules will read the value and execute the guide engagement showing the new feature I meantioned in my original email.   There are some things to keep in mind while doing this:Your app must support ‘deep links’ Your app cannot scrub the URL

Exporting trending user/account data?

This seems like a really basic piece of functionality, and maybe I’m missing something here…. Can you see trending utilization data for accounts and users to see how many (in the case of accounts) and when (in the case of both) users have logged into your platform? Seeing a line chart of that for each account in addition to overall would be supremely helpful, and seems like table stakes.

Is something down with PX?

Hi,I recognise it’s the holidays and we’re all operating with reduced staff, but I have a critical issue with Gainsight PX.I’m unable to load any analytics at the moment and therefore unable to report any metrics to my leadership team. Sometimes analytics will load but I can’t find any results for our NPS experiences. I’m frequently presented with “There was an error in loading this page. Reload this page.” Generally, the PX web app is much more sluggish that usual as well.Naturally, I’m concerned our users may also be experiencing issues though this seems unlikely as we’ve had no tickets.What’s going on here and can you help?I would really appreciate it if we skipped the “it’s your internet / machine / you need to empty your cache” stage of the troubleshooting. I’ve already tried all of the Mickey Mouse stuff. Thanks for any support you can provide us with.

Country/Region Filtering

Hello! We have recently launched Gainsight PX engagements to help automate the onboarding process for a portion of our customers. For the time being, we would like these engagements to only show up for our North America accounts. However, after setting the filter for region to US, we have still had accounts in our EMEA and APAC regions being added to the engagements. Can someone assist with this?

Relatively new to PX, but wondering if you can either embed a survey engagement inside of an email sent via PX, or if you can link back to an in-app survey engagement via a button in an email sent via PX. Is that possible?
