After an Advanced Outreach program is published, Journey Orchestrator is unable to make changes to a query for participants. If we wish to change the fields and/or filters on a query to incorporate new fields to tokenize for a template update or if we wish to expand/narrow the participant list, we have to stop the program, make a duplicate, update the query, and republish the program. This is an extreme inconvenience for us within our instance, especially if the program involves multiple steps and multiple emails. We often build programs and later find that we need to make a change to a participant. As an example, our organization works with schools and school districts and occasionally a district will ask us to remove them from a specific type of communication (but not all communications broadly). If I want to remove anyone from within a district from a specific program or set of programs, I cannot simply make the update in the journey to exclude based on email domain or company while the program is either paused or active. In this situation, I have to stop the existing program from pulling in new participants and have to duplicate the program to make changes. In many instances, I end up having to set up an additional filter within the new program to check to see if emails were sent to other participants in companies that should remain in the new program and make exclusions based on previous emails sent to contacts to ensure they don’t receive the same message twice from what are now different JO programs in Gainsight. This is extremely time intensive and can be tricky to set up properly. Further, if the existing program had multiple steps, then I often cannot simply end the program but have to stop it from publishing every day and keep it active until all current participants have completed each step of the program. This means I end up with duplicate active programs for a given journey running in parallel until all participants have finished the initial journey. This creates additional confusion and clutter within the system.
Currently in the Survey tool, the end recipient is unable to go "back" a page once they select "Next" page. Would love to have the option in case the end recipient needs to go back and edit/add/remove something. Adding content from @jascharf10’s related Idea:It would be nice to have a back button on a multi-question survey, along with a submit button. For example, I am creating the following question in a multi-question survey: And it would be nice if a customer could go back to confirm what the previous question was, or it would be nice to just go back in general to review answers earlier in the survey.
Problem Statement:The current relationship icons in Gainsight Customer Success lack customization options, limiting their ability to visually represent different business contexts. For organizations like ours, where relationships are used to manage multiple lines of business, having a single, static icon creates confusion and reduces the ability to quickly differentiate between relationship types.Proposed Solution:Introduce the ability to customize relationship icons based on specific criteria such as line of business, relationship type, or any other user-defined attributes. This feature could include:Upload Custom Icons: Allow users to upload their own icons that align with their company's branding or specific use cases. Dynamic Assignment: Enable the assignment of icons through rules or conditions based on fields like Relationship Type, Line of Business, or custom fields.Value Proposition:Improved Visual Clarity: Quickly differentiate between relationships at a glance, enhancing usability and reducing navigation friction. Increased Flexibility: Tailor the relationship interface to better align with the unique structures of each organization. Enhanced Branding: Support organizations in maintaining consistency with their internal branding and visual identity.Use Case:A company using Gainsight to manage multiple lines of business (e.g., Enterprise Sales, SMB Sales, Partner Relationships) could assign unique icons to each relationship type, making it easier for Customer Success Managers to identify and prioritize their work.Impact on Customers:This feature would increase efficiency, reduce errors, and create a more intuitive user experience, ultimately improving adoption and satisfaction among Gainsight users.
One of our customer reached out to us saying, If we can modify the CTA type after creating CTA, Tried checking looks like it is not editable once we create CTA.
Something that’s been driving me crazy is this error message that pops up when hovering over a C/R360 widget that you don’t have access to edit: “You do not have the required permission to edit the widget data. Please connect to your GS Admin.” Why is this (grammatically dubious) message even needed? Also, it’s distracting because in this particular case, I have the widget linked to a related list report, so the end users need to click on the widget in order to quickly traverse to the related report. This is very slick and useful functionality but is partially ruined by the above message popping up every time. Please consider fixing this or at least giving admins the option to turn it off.
Hi All!I have a really important use case that I’m currently unable to deliver. I need to filter a report based on dates that are GREATER THAN the date stored in a different field value. I can compare the field values, but my only options are equals or not equals. I need the option to choose >, >=, <, <=. Can this be added relatively easily? It would be HUGE for our team. Thank you!Dave G
In the Rules Engine, there are numerous filters available that allow us to quickly narrow down to a subset of rules (target object, source object, created date, created by, etc.). Why does this not exist for Data Designer? There are columns available in a list view that I can use for sorting I suppose, but what I really find myself needing is figuring out which DDs use certain objects as a data source - for example, show me all DDs that use “Success Plan” as a source object. Right now, I’m entirely dependent on solid naming conventions and even then I have to individually investigate each asset. Thanks for considering.
Earlier versions of widgets (ex. Quick Links) would specify the image specifications for the images that might be uploaded. It’d be good to bring those back and standardize as part of the widget customization experience. I know that recently some image specifications/dimensions were updated to standardize across different modules/widgets. And while style guides and templates exist if you go searching, I’d rather not need to do that (and/or wonder if it’s still up-to-date) when I’m customizing widgets.
I have a bunch of CTAs I've created for my CSMs using a Rule, and then I adjusted their Close Dates using DataLoader. I would like to use Mass Edit to apply a single Playbook to all of those CTAs at once, instead of having to do it to each CTA.
This could probably be split across multiple posts but they’re all related so I’m posting here as a longer “thread” for these ideas.Because with Horizon 360 we can remove users ability to create and edit relationships from the C360 so I’m taking another shot at configuring a “Relationships” Tab for the C360 layout. There are two main areas this could really be improved, both are on the admin side and one really impacts the user experience: Admin Configuration Experience of the Relationship Sections in C360:In List View, reordering fields is a nightmare. If I move the last field to the second position, it doesn’t move everything else below it down one slot, it just swaps the two fields. So if I want to move one item up in the list, I have to then reorder every other field below it, each time. This is a step back from how field ordering works in report layouts for show me fields, for example. Even the experience between List and Card view is different, as Card view has slots in a layout for fields and List view does not. Card View has a preview but List view does not. Why is that? Card view is 2 columns wide and fits a preview, List view is 1 column wide and has no preview.Configuration Issues that impact end-users:There is always a “Default View” under relationship sections that I cannot delete. If I only have one relationship type then I don’t need a dedicated secondary view. So, I can make my relationship specific type view match the Default view, but it doesn’t make sense to have both because that is confusing for users. Why would I have two tabs showing the exact same thing? I know it defaults to their preference, but it is unnecessary to display both if I don’t need it. Even if I delete the relationship specific one, they both show up on the user side of the C360: Even more bizarrely, the card view gives this error: but the List view still shows a report. This error is extremely unhelpful and misleading as it indicates there’s a problem with the configuration, not that it is intentionally blank. I guess it is correct in that there is a problem, but it’s a system not a config problem :). I even had a ticket a year ago 176920 that spawned a discussion about the detrimental impact that these types of “access” messages have. Something that would also be nice to have here, is the ability for admins to create “Relationship Cockpit” Views - What I mean by that, is leveraging the end-user ability to filter their relationships here: and merging it with the idea of Admin pre-defined Cockpit Views. End-users likely may not know the correct filters to get what they need anymore than they would in Cockpit, which is why admins are able to help with pre-defined views. I would like to see that here as well and I don’t see a way to do that today. @anirbandutta not sure if this is across one or more PM’s but if you can help direct it to the appropriate parties I’d appreciate it, as always!
Currently, on the C360 Relationship section, with create/edit/delete Relationships enabled for users, you have NO direct control over the “Add Relationship” view. See sample below for context:Currently, all this is based off of are any and all fields on the list and/or card view for the section, for a given relationship. There is no way to control the order of fields, or even what is editable or not. Please give us a way to customize, on a per relationship (even a per relationship, per C360 layout as well) basis this screen. We need the ability to configure:Field Labels Field Order Field Editability What fields display, independent of List/Card ViewAs an example, there are fields on each Relationship record that I’m aggregating via rule. I want them visible on list and card view for obvious reasons - it’s important for CSMs to see. However, I do NOT wan to have the fields on the create screen and I CERTAINLY do not want them editable. we should only add fields we expect them to fill in. I can’t believe that after all the 360 revamps this is still missing. Currently, we have to choose now between showing useful information in the C360 relationship section, OR having the “Add relationship” be a good experience. These should not be mutually exclusive.
It’d be nice if Email Campaigns had a feature that could append UTM parameters on the end of any links added within the email campaign. Example use case: Newsletters will have a lot of links within them. Adding a UTM on every link is tedious and prone to error. If I could set that once for the template (or individual email), it would add a lot of insight with very little effort.
There are several ideas out there about connectors but I can’t find one specific for this gap and it was suggested by support to submit the idea, so here I am.The jobs’ execution history doesn’t distinguish between manual/scheduled, everything is shown as scheduled. In this example, the successful executions were manual: In the same way that rules engine distinguishes scheduled vs manual, the same should be true for Jobs as is can be very misleading, especially when troubleshooting. And since I'm talking about parity/consistency you can’t not know either either who/when created/modified the Job, so I’m leaving here an idea related to that gap:Thanks,
These features can be found from Xenforo at least, and I wish to get them to Gainsight community platform as well. These improves UX a lot but also helps mods as well because there is no need to fix quotes afterwards. Here you can see the original post: And here you can see how it looks when someone replies: Image is automatically hidden but you can open it by clicking here Post is automatically shrinked, you can see the first lines and if you want to read whole post you can read it by clicking here If you want to jump to the original post you can do it by clicking hereHere you can see how quick quote works: Just select the text you want to quote and small pop up opens Select “Vastaa” (Reply) from the pop up and text you selected, and nothing else, is automatically added to your quoteXenforo has only one level quotes and I wish to see them here as well.
In support platforms such as Zendesk and ServiceNow, you’re able to insert customizable banners that communicate crucial information either org-wide or for a specific customer. This can be important to call out as clear as possible that a customer is escalated, for example. The same concept can be accomplished in Salesforce - e.g. if Field X = true, insert all red text in the top right to say “ESCALATED CUSTOMER”. If Field X = false, insert green text saying “All is fine for now.” It seems like no such capability really exists for Gainsight. I suppose the answer might be to check the scorecard, but that doesn’t accomplish the urgency that might be needed for an escalation notification. Has any thought been given to this type of functionality at the C360/R360 level? Happy to brainstorm more on this if it would be helpful.
Our team would greatly benefit from being able to directly paste images into timeline entries. This would allow us to use Gainsight directly during customer meetings. At the moment, we have to resort to other tools (like OneNote) to capture all information we need.
In various roadmap sessions the past few years, and in a recent informal roadmap update from my CSM, you’ve mentioned working on a refresh of the Feed and UI. Terms like “Social Feed” or “Personalized Feed” and “Threaded Replies” have been mentioned. If/when you get to that, I recommend using the opportunity to fix a common pain point / accidental user behavior.Cause: Like button placement is inconsistent. As the most common user action on a post, it is understandably placed to the furthest left. However, when a user has the permissions to mark a reply as the Best Answer, the Like button shifts right in favor of the Best Answer button. Issue: Accidental clicks of Best AnswerFor years I’ve seen this with my super users. The super user role comes with the ability to mark answers on any post, not just a user’s own. When my new superusers first get this permission, it takes them awhile to adjust. I’ve received feedback from them that it’s a big change. It’s to the point that I long ago introduced a bolded, highlighted call out of this change in their super user onboarding communications. More recently, with the delivery of this idea (a big win btw), I am seeing it happen more frequently. In my custom tracking of answer marking, my logs show users mistakenly marking replies as the answer when they meant to like it. The unmark action comes in quick succession. It’s increased by the fact that the Best Answer button persists even after a question is marked as the answer, and when you click it, it switches the Best Answer. TL;DR if you’re doing a UI refresh or redesign, always keep the Like (or emoji reaction) to the furthest left. It’s what users are used to on other social platforms. And it definitely should move when the Best Answer is present IMO.
It would be really helpful if the mega menu could stay persistent at the top so you don’t have to scroll all the way up to see it again. Possible?
We’re currently using the /conversations and /questions endpoints for some automations. The drawback of these endpoints is that they’re very basic in that they return all entries of their respective type. Today I’m looking at using the /topics endpoint instead and this is promising as it does indeed allow to grab topics created between a specific date range (perfect), however, the resulting data is missing key properties that the other endpoints have, that we currently use. For example, seoCommunityUrl, pinnedReplyId, and answer. It would be helpful to align the result properties of the /topics endpoint with the properties of the /conversations and /questions endpoints.
It would be incredibly helpful if a superuser could remove spam topics and posts from view on the front end. Superusers only at this point as this group of people are trusted users. At the moment we don’t have any front end capabilities for reporting and removing spam, which makes dealing with spam out of office hours impossible, unless we give a specific role backend access. This is not an option due to anyone with backend access being able to see PII (IP Address and team notes on content).I would like to see an additional functionality next to the ‘report post’ button that says “This is spam” which would force the reported post in to the pending queue, and block the spam-user from posting any further, until the post has been reviewed by mods and either released, or marked as spam.Thank you,Ditte
Hi all,the dynamic content widget is quite useful. What would make it even more useful is if we could sort by some parameters ascending/descending, not only descending. The Sorting seems to be descending e.g.newest content → oldest content most views → least views most replies → least replies We would like to be able to invert the sorting, so that I could e.g. display oldest content first. This is especially useful if we want to highlight questions that are a few days old but still have 0 replies, to prevent them from getting buried. Our exampleThank you!
