We have a number of reports based on data designers that compare health scores over periods using monthly snapshots. However, we also have a need to look at various trends on a quarterly basis for board reporting. While I can easily filter for Snapshot Date = the span of Last Day of Previous Month, I can’t easily do the same for the Last Day of the Quarter. Period over Period comparison function does not work for this use case--we already tried it and discovered that it does not give us the desired results when we try to use it with snapshots and health scores.
User Story: As an admin, I would like to be able to include more than one data label on a report visualization to make it easier for my users to understand the data they are seeing. As and end user, sometimes differentiating the colors even with a legend is difficult and requires I click on everything anyways, making it harder to understand my data. Example:I have a funnel chart that looks something like this: I have the numbers on the right, which is all well and good, but I would really like to better indicate what each stage is. Yes, the legend is cutoff from the image, but I would like the option to either have the different sections labeled on the left side (or opposite) the numbers, or inside the funnel itself.Yes, you can mouseover to see it, but you can also see the datapoint there as well. In the interest of wanting to see the pertinent information at a glance, I would like the option to add funnel stage names in addition to, or instead of, the legend. Or even as an enhancement to the legend.Currently, putting the legend on the left side just doesn’t look good because it only shows a few values at a time and you have to click the arrows. Not a great look or really useful. You might be able to do this for some chart types and not others, but while my specific example is a funnel chart, I don’t want anyone to think this would only be useful for funnel charts.
Curious if this is a common use case for others, but my team has requested for any emails that are synced to Timeline to use the original email timestamp vs using the date & time that email sync was executed. The CSMs at Propeller will often bulk forward their emails into Gainsight at the end of day/end of week because they manage quite a few customers. This causes all of their entries to have a similar date/time stamp, even though that is not necessarily when the email engagement took place. The result is a slightly inaccurate picture of engagement.
Hi allJust like we can see what and who went through each step in the program (email, delay, evaluate), we should be able to see who completed their journey AT what step directly from the snapshot view. Please add a little blurb like there is against action steps and evaluate/delay steps so we can view who completed their journey in each “end” step. Thanks!A
Today, if you go into the Success Plan “cockpit” either Global or on a C360, if you sort by “Due Date”, or use the category filter for “Completed Plans”, and possibly other combinations, you will see Completed Success Plans marked as Overdue. I understand there is both “overdue” as in, open and past the due date. There is also “Closed Overdue”, which would be “plan was closed after its due date”. However, and especially in the case of showing “All Success Plans”, having closed overdue plans just show up under “Overdue” makes absolutely no sense. When CSMs think of something overdue, or wanting to find overdue items, they want things that need action. Not things that are already closed. This is maybe a minor thing, but Gainsight can be very confusing for end users and “Is Closed Overdue” is not even a field that can be added to the “Success Plan Cockpit view” either, to even have that information. Instead, they message their admin to ask about it, and we once again become apologists for the clunky UI/UX. Please make CSMs lives easier by being clear and consistent with the definition AND visualization of data is done in the platform. What will of course be a surprise to no one, it does not appear to do this for CTAs. Just success plans. Yet another inconsistency.
Since we’ve been using JO to support our digital customer journey, we’ve had a couple of instances of bulk data updates upstream, leading to sudden spikes/jumps in participant counts in daily scheduled JOs. While sometimes this is expected, and we’re happy for the participant count to increase (e.g. bulk user onboarding), other times this is an indication that we have a data issue.Either way, it would be good if Gainsight provided the option to enable an admin notifications in scenarios like this, and a configurable delayed sending until manual confirmation was provided, allowing to catch potential communication incidents before they’ve occurred. While such audience limit controls could theoretically be built into the logic of each JO program, this would add significant configuration and maintenance overhead. This functionality would be be a great risk control if available out-the-box.Spike in participants
We would like to have an Activity Sub-Type field that only shows values relevant to the Activity Type that is selected. It looks like Picklist Dependencies are an option, but it doesn’t look like Activity Type can be used as a controller field.
I’m working on an internal email to send some reports to end users, and I’m using a KPI Widget as one of the reports. When I do so, it looks odd because:I’m only able to change the width of the report container and not the height. I can’t put a border around the report.Example of what I’m seeing: I’ve changed the width down to 200 px to get it to look like that, but it still just looks odd just sitting there with the amount of space between the header and the percentage. Would like the option to be able to customize that container more in order to make this look a little better.
We’ve recently discovered in sending reporting internally that if a KPI widget is pulling no data for a participant, the entire email will fail to send.My use case:We send a weekly email to our CSMs to help them in tracking how they are performing towards their KPIs. There are 5 total reports included for the different KPIs. 4 of them are tables, but the last one is a KPI widget based on a data designer. Since it’s a quarterly KPI, for the first weeks of the quarter, there will generally be no data included.Suggestion:Email should still send - just with a statement of “no data available” similar to how tabular reports do today.
This is partly a PSA but also a request for Gainsight to have some unity in how fields work across the platform. Maybe this is already being addressed somewhere, but doesn’t seem like it is at the moment. If you want something to show up like Click this Link on a Report or 360 widget, you need to use a STRING data type. If you want to have it show up like Click this link on a CTA layout, you need to use URL data type. There might be other scenarios where you want one vs. the other, but the point is that the construction of the URL is identical between the field types, it’s just that the field types have different behaviors depending on where in the platform you want to use them. You may need both fields, and surface one vs. the other depending on your use case. Either way, your formula would look something like this, if you are referencing an SFDC record: Concat (NONE,<a href=”https://YOURDOMAIN.lightning.force.com/lightning/r/OBJECTNAME/,Concat (NONE,SFDC_RECORD_ID,Concat (NONE,/view,Concat (NONE,” target=”_blank”>,Concat (NONE,DISPLAY_TEXT,</a>))))) You’ll obviously want to replace the CAPS with your own info in the URL, and the “NONE”s are the delimiter for each Concat statement. For this, I ended up with a nest of 5 concat statements. For the DISPLAY_TEXT, you can either tokenize it with some kind of Name field, if you want it to be dynamic, or just type in something static. I have tested this, and while in both cases the link is clickable, the text displays as the URL itself vs. the display text depending on the field type and location you display it. My ask is to have a consistent behavior, at least across a singl data type, regardless of where it displays.
When I “star” a CTA, the field that is affected is the “Is Important” flag. But the message that pops up says “Starred as Favourite” I doubt many folks use that star field to identify a CTA as a “favourite” but moreso to highlight CTAs that need special attention or are “Important”This may seem like a minor thing, but it goes to enabling our end users and helping them understand and make sense of what things mean in the system. Would be great to stay consistent.
When you change the Field label, the change does not reflect automatically across all Dependencies like Reports, Dashboards, Data Designer, C360, R360 layouts etc, you will have to manually remove the old label and add the new one. Can we automatically update label across all dependencies when the field label is changes at the Data management level ?

Current behaviour is that when user press “Leave group”, user remains in the group and user can see the topics and group info and so on.It seems that nothing have happened. It feels confusing for the user. Only change is the text in the button, under the hero image.I hope that when user press “Leave group”, user is automatically forwarded to the Groups page. Then it is totally clear for the user that okay, now I am gone.
We have begun exploring the use of the customer goals feature for our CSMs. As an admin, I’ve noticed that there doesn’t seem to be a way of associating defined Metrics to a particular Customer Goal within our library. This means that as we roll out Goals, CSMs will see ALL metrics in their C360, regardless of whether they are related to that particular goal or not. In our case there may be multiple Goals associated to one particular CRM Opportunity, and each Goal now has ALL metrics displayed to the CSM instead of only displaying the ones that matter to that goal.As we grow our Outcome Based Selling approach, and we grow more types of Outcomes/Goals or add more KPIs the nuisance of this issue will continue to grow for our CSMs.As an admin, I wish there was an easy way to associate Metrics to each Goal.
This should hopefully be an easy win and a huge admin quality of life improvement. For those of us who want to be able to use Write with AI to translate into a different language (particularly one we don’t know), it would be convenient if we were able to read the name of the language we were selecting. The problem:How am I supposed to know which of these is which? What this menu looks like to a confused email creator. What I ended up doing was to take a picture of the screenshot above in this post, drop it into ChatGPT, and ask it to translate the menu, which gave me the text below:日本語 - Japanese Español - Spanish Français - French Deutsch - German Italiano - Italian Português - Portuguese русский - Russian 中文 - Chinese 한국어 - Korean English - EnglishThe solution:Please, it should be an easy win to add something very similar to the above text to this menu, so we don’t have to play 20 questions every time we want to use Write With AI to translate our emails!I’m saving the text above to Notion for quick access, but I shouldn’t need to do that.
Love the Dynamic Content Widget, but would like additional filtering/sorting options, especially Alphabetical by title. We use Product Updates to track Roadmap items, and we have quarterly product releases. We want to use custom pages and the Dynamic Content Widget to create a view that will show all Roadmap items associated with a particular release. (Each Roadmap item/Product Update is tagged with its Release number/date, so this is easy using the tag filter.) This works great, except that the way the items are displayed in the widget isn’t logical; we’d like an alphabetical list. We want to do this dynamically instead of a bullet list in an article because items sometimes shift to different releases; using this widget would ensure we don't have to manually update an article each time something moves...which is what we're currently doing.
This is something I asked about during the Email Template Builder Beta, and the issue is still present. It should be far easier to re-order email versions within an Email Template. We frequently send emails that have multiple (6-8) versions, and there is currently no easy way to re-order those versions, which is problematic due to the waterfall nature of how the variant logic is evaluated (default, then next, then next, and so on).Currently, the only options we have available are to edit, clone, and delete versions. While we can technically clone a version so there are two copies, and overwrite the email code to move an email to a different place, that’s an unwieldy workaround, and our teams frequently have to deal with content submitted at the midnight hour, just before we’re supposed to send a campaign with multiple variations.Proposed solutionsI see two potential solutions:Drag and Drop Reordering -- it would be awesome if we could click and drag a version higher or lower in the email. Move Up, Move Down -- not as ideal, but this would allow us to reorder the versions as needed.
Running into a problem now where we need to share scorecard reports with AEs that don’t have assigned CSMs (don’t get me started on the fact that I cannot schedule Scorecard Widgets to be shared!) so they have aggregate visiblity without having to go into each individual account to see Red scores. When I share, the link to the report removes the C360 Company Name hyperlinks. Why? They are internal users with Viewer licenses. Viewer, Viewer Analytics, Full all are able to VIEW the C360. Why obscure the hyperlink in the report?Basically the opposite of this post, although several folks on that thread were asking for this ⬆
Please have a look at this : when we share a report the users are expecting that the link can be clicked, because of the blue clickable hyperlink and they are expecting that it would navigate to that particular company which is not the case.so we have a request from the user that the company names NOT be hyperlinked but rather be like a text format so that there will be no confusion and users do not think something is broken.
