It would be nice if we could toggle “Hide in Reporting” for objects created in Data Designer. Use Case:I need to create a field using a combination of formula fields and case expressions. The formula fields will create two new fields, and the case expression will allow me to select the “correct” field to display based on my case logic. Ideally, I only want my case expression field to display in the object (just show 1 field instead of 3). However, there’s no way I can remove the two formula fields from my design without losing the case expression field functionality, and I cannot hide these two formula fields from reporting because it’s not available in data management for objects created through Data Designer.
We would love to be able to prioritize which emails are sent to our customer in which order and make sure we can email throttle or limit the number of emails a customer can receive in a certain period of time.I know this is something that is possible in PX, but I would love to see this in CS.We are growing our Digital CS programming, and as Gainsight pushes more towards the Digital CS lens, it would be super great to see this in the system as well so we can continue to grow it.
Hello Team,When customers try to use Gainsight Assist for outlook and log into the timeline option they cannot find the inactive/churned companies in the search but when we you take one of the people’s email from that company giving it in "to email " then it is available in search. Please consider this as an enhancement and let me know if you need any examples or details are required.
Currently, if you want to set a score to be stale in a scorecard, you set it on a per-measure basis. There is no additional configurability - it applies to all customers with that scorecard (no segmentation), and all values of that score. Here’s the context:We have a manual score we want our CSMs to update. The scheme is Red/Yellow/Green. When the score is “Red”, we want CSMs to update the score every 2 weeks. When the score is “Yellow” or “Green”, we only need them to update it once a month. While we currently don’t have this use case, it may also be helpful to have criteria for other types of segmentation for staleness, without having to create a bunch of scorecards just to handle this. Request: Please give us some logic/filter criteria so that we can be more granular with when a score needs to be refreshed. I know we have the ability to set scores to NA as a type of workaround, but that has its own drawbacks and this request is specifically to use the existing staleness feature and not need another rule-based workaround.
Use Case: we need to update the CTA Due Date and the related CTA Task due dates to be EARLIER than what their currently values are.Example: current CTA Due Date = 10/24/2023current CTA Tasks Due Date = 10/24/2023desired updated CTA Due Date = 8/31/2023desired updated CTA Due Date = 8/31/2023 Issue: current functionality doesn’t allow for the CTA Tasks Due Dates to be updated to a value that is EARLIER than their current value. This has been confirmed by GS Support and L2 as a current limitation: The ask here is to allow for CTA Due Date updates to cascade to CTA Tasks regardless of whether they are earlier or later than existing values. Thx.JJ
Hi folks, Currently, when setting up a Company Person Lookup on a Success Plan, we do not have the option to Display the name associated, since the Display Field dropdown option only shows fields associated with the object designated on the field’s lookup - in this case, Company Person - whereas the Name is on the Person object. Using the Person object for the field instead limits our abilities to Filter the field to only show results related to the Company. It’s kind of funny since the Search Fields allow for the associated object lookup fields to be used, so this seems like an oversight. Our workaround solution for the time being will likely be to create an additional Name field on the Company Person object that gets populated by a Rule. This can lead to many issues, such as time delay discrepancies based on the Connector and the Rule, as well as duplication causing reporting confusion by other admins. Request: allow Display options to show associated object lookup fields also, so that I can show Company Person → Person → Name. Perhaps only for this system object, but that is a wider conversation. For Gainsight, ticket 100716 has exact details relating to this request.
99% of the changes we make to the Company object are done through scheduled rules. Our CS team generally does not make manual updates (by design.) This sort of defeats the purpose of real-time rules for us, since they would only be triggered when our SCHEDULED rules change something in the company object.I would love to be able to trigger real-time rules based on changes/updates to objects that are more likely to be updated in real-time. Example objects would be - survey objects, timeline activities, CTAs, etc.
Currently, the Timeline and Calendar Widgets on GS Home are the same widget that you can only switch back and forth between them on.Whenever you switch back and forth between these, they always revert back to their default state, which can cause issues if you are trying to compare Timeline Entries with the Calendar. It would be great to have the ability to add these Widgets independently so you can view them simultaniously.
It is my understanding from Gainsight support that when a user types a keyword into the bot to search, only the Engagement Display Name, Article Display Name, and Article Title fields are being searched. It would be helpful to have metadata fields to enter additional keywords that should return particular content if searched.Alternatively, could the search be expanded to the Article Body content and the Engagement (dialog, guide, etc.) modals? For example, we have an article regarding how to setup monitoring … “How to Monitor Third Parties.” That serves as a good Article Name and Article Display Name, but some of our users might search for “alerts” because they can get alerts by monitoring a third party. If there was a metadata field where we could enter “alerts, alert, monitoring, notifications” the user would have a better chance of finding the “How to Monitor Third Parties” article.I welcome any additional input from folks who understand metadata better than me!cc: @Pravalika S @Gainsight2022 @woodlande @wheelern @JPKelliher @sdreid @link_black @mmarques @amadeo @cakrit @shireesha_reddy
This is in fact a real post. I submitted a ticket Feb 2023 noting that in our Sandbox environment, Data Management>Dependencies did not yield accurate results. It has now been confirmed this is NOT a bug and in fact a sandbox specific product enhancement request. So, here we are. My request is simple: Please make dependencies in the Sandbox accurate. If the ‘why’ is not self evident here, please see me after class :) @anirbandutta semi-related but should we have “Sandbox” as a product area for community here?
It would be good if Engagement Monitoring was available for all engagement managers, and not just to Admins. Engagement managers map their tooltips to product UI, and it would be good for them to be able to know how many times their engagements are running into errors, so they can make improvements. For those who are not admins, here is an example screen when drilling into an engagement that sometimes has errors. Hi All,We upload so many different images to our Engagements on PX, it can be quite overwhelming to find the right image if we wanted to reuse something (and uploading it again just shows us duplicates which again adds to the scrolling torture!). Would it be possible to bring in folders which we can add images to? that way we can categorise our images into things such as ‘Email Hero Images’ , ‘Product A GIFs’ or ‘Company Logos’ It would be a massive time saver for us!
Hi Team,If we want to create a activity though rule action: Load to Activities then we are not getting the values for external attendees. Thank you.
Current functionality does not allow you to uncheck the 'Send Separate Email to Recipients' if a token is being used. We would like to see this only come default on if a Contact Name is used, or if a survey is being used. Currently we are only tokenizing the Account Name in the Subject of the email, but nothing else.
Hey All,I have found the outer join/merge data tasks in Data Designer falls a little short.Currently, when you perform an outer merge on two data sets, for example with a merge on GSID, the final data set looks like thisThis is not as useful as could be as despite merging on GSID, GSID values have not been parsed to both GSID columns. Instead, we have no values. That means effectively merging the data sets in a useful manner will involve the use of case expressions (which are limited in capability, both criteria and case statements). When performing an outer merge, we consider the join on field as the identifier. There is no reason why we shouldn’t consequently be appending records that exist only in one of the datasets to the bottom of each of the other data sets as part of the merge. We could then just take the following data points:GSID Data Set 1 Name Data Set 1 Version Data Set 2And have a data set with all the information I need, against an identifier that would be available from each of the GSID columns. The below result would instead allow us to drop one of the two GSID columns (like we do in other merge types), and to effectively use the data for reporting purposes or in Journey Orchestrator. It would also help rationalize queries and data designs by not having to add other data set with a merge left and a final transformation to eliminate empty values (and further transformation to require duplicates). See below two additional tasks to achieve the desired outcome (further transformation required to eliminate duplicates too). Thanks!
Not sure if am being stupid or it just isn’t possible. Can I left align a survey button in an e-mail template? Currently it’s in the middle and looks a bit odd with the text aligned left;
The Community Search does a good job serving Discussions and Ideas around our features. It also serves relevant courses on Gainsight university. While we announce availability of Documentation per Release and a brief summary of what it contains, the big thing missing currently is serving up the formal Documentation around the features. Bring in relevant Gainsight documentation resources for Customers right where they are looking for. Thanks @neelam_mukherjee for the mockup
Hi Team,Customer requested the feature to clone the MDA Object. As a workaround I have mentioned that we can create another object manually (that's a copy of the original) and then transfer all the data with a rule if needed. Thank you.
New browser tabs are being opened when selecting options. Is there a way to prevent this and keep all information contained in a single browser window?
First of all, love the Timeline interface! However, what is a timeline for, if not milestones? It would be great if Milestones added elsewhere were visible here, but even better would be if we could add Milestones as an option for the type of Activity logged.
When we log emails to timeline, the log time is that of logging the email. While that works for outbound emails because the time of logging is also the time of sending, it doesn’t work for inbound emails which may be a couple of days to a couple of weeks old (i.e. if you were on holiday and catching up). The ask is simple:When logging an inbound email, use the date and time received as a timeline entry date time value. As far as the time zone goes, use that of the user as it is set in Gainsight. This would save us quite some time not having to modify entries post logging, greater accuracy when engagement is used in health score. The option to respond to log isn’t good. An inbound email has way more value than an outbound email so realistically, those that matter for engagement measures are the inbound ones and this would 1/ clutter customer inboxes for no reason when there is no reason to respond 2/ drown engagement measures in a lot of noise.
Hey all,Another area that lacks consistency or parity. Why can’t I add months or years to a date? Can we please make this area of formula field consistent and allow us to add months and years to a date? Like we can in other areas. In my use case, I have a license term in months, and I want to add months to the effective start date since effective end date is mostly missing.
I was working on a report and was requested to show a small description of what the field means (see the screenshot)As far as I know it’s not possible to use the “Description” field anywhere except Data Management. I think it makes sense to make a use of it and have the possibility of adding this description to the field. For example, it will be very useful (especially for end-users) when I’m hovering on a segment and can see what that term mean. Also, would be very nice to have this small description in C360 when hovering on a drop-down itself instead of repeating twice the name of the field
Hello! I may be misremembering, but I recall the “total number of records” counts in the bottom left of reports updating to reflect datasets impacted by ad hoc filtering in column headers. This is either no longer the case, or never was. In either case, it would be very helpful to have that behavior. Unfiltered Tabular Report Results vs Ad Hoc Filtered Results
