Currently, if you create a milestone from a rule, it just puts everything into a large text block. It would be great if you could do formatting. It would also be helpful to create a timeline entry that can be something other than a “milestone” type. For example, we have a timeline milestone created when a new Account Plan is created/ updated in SFDC. We would like the formatting to be like below so that it is easier to read, but instead everything is put into one massive paragraph. ${Updater_Full_Name} updated ${Changed_Field} for the "${Plan_Name}" on ${Update_Date}. Account Plan Details: Account Goals: ${Account_Goals}This Account Will Renew If: ${This_Account_will_renew_if}30 Day Plan: ${Thirty_Day_Plan}90 Day Plan: ${Ninety_Day_Plan}365 Day Plan: ${ThreeSixtyFive_Day_Plan}
Hello! I come to you with yet another UI enhancement request that would make like a LOT easier for me, and probably other admins. When reviewing the task tree on a rule, I often find myself having to click in to Edit mode anyway to investigate the behavior of a Merge task. If we could add, at minimum, the Join type on the text panel below the task card that would be GREAT! Bonus points if we could include the keys used for the merge, but that might be tough to scale if people use multiple keys in one merge. See my mock-up below…
We'd like the following use case to be supported when existing CTAs exist. Create new Timeline entry when having a meeting with a customer Discuss existing actions (CTAs) with the customer Link to an existing CTA rather than creating a new CTA to avoid duplication and moving out of the Timeline window The linking of existing CTAs into a new Timelin entry will allow better usability, increase efficiency when using the functionality and reduce the number of clicks.
X-Org should be simplified and accommodate and support every field, asset and function in the tool - including new features at launch time. Enterprise platform best practice is to build/test in a sandbox and promote to production. However - even though X-Org has come a long way - because of the gaps that still exist, the unreliable nature of the migrations (9 times out of 10 they inexplicably fail) and the fact that X-Org creates duplicate assets in the target org instead of changing the target asset, we still do 90% of our build directly in Production which increases chances of mistakes. Also, X-Org considerations should be made whenever new features are being developed and released. If X-Org cannot migrate it yet, it should not be released until X-Org can support it.
Currently when copy/pasting from another source (ex: Word, Outlook, etc.) sometimes the inherited formatting of the text from the copy source can be pasted into Gainsight. Sometimes Gainsight has a hard time parsing that information on-screen, i.e. it displays weird or breaks formatting. Is there a way to prompt a warning message if GS see's that there is a formatting issue? For example, if someone accidently pastes html into a field that breaks the page, maybe it throws a warning message saying that there might be a problem displaying this information. Not sure if this is doable or if GS can recogonize bad text but wanted to bring it up. Thanks! :)
At the moment, Rules Engine and JO particpants queries only offer the options 'includes' and 'excludes' for dropdown fields. There seems to be no option to select only people (for example) where a certain dropdown field is empty (null).Use case: need to send an email to users, excluding certain user types, but including users for which no type is set.
Apparently this is a known bug but it was news to me, so I’m posting here so others can see: When you make a post on Timeline and you use the indent button, you are locked out from using the backspace key on your indented text. Delete still works, but backspace not so much. I don’t know if it does this every time, or in only some cases, but I asked support and they are aware of the issue and actively looking to resolve it. In my case this is NXT but YMMV
We’re working on launching the Product Updates feature and have run into a series of issues with the current scope of the text editor functionality. Many of the answers found here addressed some of our questions and concerns (I love that about this community!), but while many points are on a roadmap somewhere (eg. attachments), there is an important one that as I read the answers to, only made me more curious. The text editor itself is frankly very limited for Product Updates. At first when our team saw the <> (Source) function we assumed it would be fine and we could easily find workarounds using html and css. That… has not been that case as has been addressed in many a topic here, and all of the answers that I’ve seen regarding the deletion of any html beyond the very basic tags has been that it’s a security issue. I just… have a question about that. We’re very big on security over here, but would it not be better to simply make the ability to touch source code extremely limited based on permissions? We can give the permission to upload files, so can we do this with touching the html/css? In theory this should be a risk assumed by the client, in part mitigated by developing the source feature in a way that prevents injecting anything like js. If it’s limited to an admin and only accessible in the control environment, would it not be a better user experience to allow for a wider range of styling and formatting for the client through opening up the Source feature, with the burden of security/functionality being on the client as it is with anything else that we customize? If there’s a worry of too many folks having it, would there ever be a way to allow the inSided team to grant that access to specific users rather than even having it fall under a role? (eg: we have a vendor that gives ONE particular super user for our CRM special access to highly sensitive features even though we have multiple super users, those special permissions are all controlled by the vendor.) This has been a big pain point for our team as they’re used to being able to bring in someone skilled with html/css to work on emails and even landing pages within our current CRM. That’s a risk that we (and all of their many clients) take on and permissions are heavily limited, which made me curious about the answers around security concerns. Of course, I’m not a cyber security specialist, which is why I’m looking for more details!!
With the Scorecard section of 360, there is a Summary and List view options. There should be a way to set default to List view rather than Summary. List view will display comments for measures, whereas Summary does not. Some might find more value in seeing the comments rather than what’s available from Summary.
Presently, the KC Bot differentiates between read and unread content (as well as category titles and subtitles) using an opacity style of 50% for read content titles and all subcategory titles. Based on customer feedback, this presents accessibility issues because the contrast ratio of those 50% opaque elements falls below the typical minimum standard (I think that minimum is ≥4.5:1, but not sure that’s up-to-date). The request is to be able to differentiate between read and unread content (as well as category titles and subtitles) using color pickers instead of opacity. Similar to how the colors of the progress icons can be set now: PX Users would be able to define text color for Read Titles, Unread Titles, Categories, and Subcategories
On the new C360 (which is GREAT), there is a standard widget called ‘Last 5 Timeline Activities’ available for the Summary section. This widget is great, however we tend to log A LOT of email against timeline, and so the widget is a little bit less useful than it could be if it only displayed certain activity types.SO...the request would be to add a filter function to this standard widget so that we could adjust which Activity Types are displayed. For instance, we would only want to display our QBR and Executive Update activity types.
We paused a program to give our teams time to review if people needed to receive the next email in the series. Now, we have a list of participants that we need to knock off, but we aren’t able to do it while the program is still paused. Since the list is a little bit long, and I need to check them off individually, I’m worried that the next step will fire before I’ve removed all the participants that need to be removed. Would be great if you could adjust participant lists or criteria while a program is paused.
Hi, Currently there is only one authentication method available on the Rest API which allows all CRUD operations to be performed over mostly every object. The implemented authentication method via is simple and easy to use, however a bit loose security wise. It should at least be possible to set, for instance, just read operation.Ideally, a more robust and secure authentication method should be implemented, such as OAuth2, together with more granular permissions setting capability, allowing Gainsight Admin to grant specific permissions on all or just specific objects. Thank you.
From what I understand (and from what @daniel.boon has explained), by default (with no filters applied), questions answered by peer in the Success Dashboard does not take into account custom user roles, so it’s not possible to segment the Answered by Peer metric based on employee vs partner vs actual peers. In general, its just pretty misleading to say “Answered by Peers” but its really a combination of all user roles. I think this is a huge missed opportunity in segmenting data to show which of your custom roles are most effective in answering questions. For instance, its far more effective to say that 56% of peers are answering questions, than to say that 56% of combined peers, partners and employees are answering questions. I’d like to know specifically what the contributions of each are, because each area will require a different type of education and lever pulled to grow the program at scale. Thanks for considering this! -Cass. p.s. tagging @Kgastaldo for visibility!
On our German forum super users are complaining that users can like their own post. They feel cheated at. One user liked four own posts on a single day. These super users already criticised the option to like own posts in the preview of Branded Templates.
This post already covers a lot of the feedback I have regarding the lackluster drag and drop experience when configuring dashboards. Now, however, the same exact issue is happening with the new C360 and R360 experience. I love a lot of the new enhancements, but dragging and dropping widgets, fields, and reports into the Summary section, for example, is painful to say the least. Any little change I want to make usually results in having to essentially rebuild the whole section because all my stuff flies all over the place. Is there anything we can do to improve this experience?
We have enabled historical tracking for some user and account attributes in Gainsight PX)and would like to get an overview of historic values of these attributes for a specific account or a user. Apparently, these historical values can currently only be used as a filter in query builder, which does not cover this use cases. What we would like to see, is something like this (for specific user or account):Date 1 - Attribute value 1Date 2 - Attribute value 2Date 3 - Attribute value 3 Kind regards,Jef
Hi Team,In dependencis tab under company, when we select a field in the top right filter it is not static, we need to re-select for every tab. It would be helpful if we make the field to be static, so that we can see all the dependencies for that particular field with out reselecting the field for every tab.
Hello! Some of our Gainsight PX engagements are triggered by a custom badge that uses an Image URL.Due to the image having no HTML alt attribute, the badge is not recognised appropriately with accessibly devices, such as screen readers. When adding/editing the badge, having the option to input an image description would help in meeting some of our accessibility requirements.Thanks.
The process of creating and editing a playbook can be difficult and inconsistent. Some items automatically save while others you need to click the save button. I've also run into issues when the tasks move up or down. Lastly the area seems so small considering the amount of blank real estate on that page.
