It would be extremely valuable to have an official native integration with Segment as an object cloud source. That would allow us to pull member and member activity data into our own warehousing solutions. Given the limitations with the Insided Salesforce integration, this is a must-have for us to be able to properly report on community performance as it relates to the rest of our customer database. Without it, we can't join community member data with things like product adoption, marketing engagement, and retention.

 I use this article often to help me choose which export to pull. I recommend linking to it somewhere in the UI of the exports page in Control, as an easy reference. Ultimately, this information would be good to build into an improved UI, but the faster solution is linking to this post like in some other areas of Control that link to InSpired. 

Anyone else uses MindTouch (acquired by nice.com) for their Product Documentation?We definitely have a usecase to integrate user journeys between our Community and Product docs through a federated search.  

There’s a neat trick in which you can create a static url for your public tags on inSided. For example, if you have posts in your content strategy that always refer to “Company News”, you can create a URL that will always populate the search results for any topic with the “Company News” tag. For example: https://community.insided.com/search?q=moderation&search_type=tag Unfortunately, the posts are not organized chronologically. I actually can’t figure out what type of order they are organized in. You should see the most recent topic at the top and the oldest topic at the bottom of the results.  

We often need to encrypt emails to our customers due to the data included.  Using the Email Task on a rule generated CTA has proven to be a great time saver for my team when sending time sensitive communications.  Unfortunately, we cannot use this option when the data included needs to be encrypted.  In todays security focused climate, it seems this is an important and much needed enhancement.

We used a very old community platform before insided, but one of the advantages it has was to show a mouse-over tooltip of the users email address when you were logged in as an administrator.That was super helpful to know for our B2B community where the email domain could quickly tell us the customer/business. That saves a click and a bunch of time rather than having to go into the profile every time.Something like this: 

It would be more convenient to share the timeline entries to myself but the email address does not auto populates since its already been saved as bcc. I would have to go and type it manually. It works when  I unmark Add Reply-To in BCC, then I can add my manual address in, and the lookup works. It would be great if it could have been automated.

Hi Team,Is there an ask for downloading success snapshot right to the success plans records that appear underneath “my success plans” or “all success plans” views. Currently we download success plan snapshot by export function that sends email to the person who submitted. Wanted to simplify the download function by introducing direct download (not as email) from the actual success plans.Open for other inputs and thoughts.Thanks!

I am trying to integrate our Salesforce data to PX, but am unable to because there is a case mismatch. There should be a step where I can transform the data to get it to lookup properly. Getting the information to be the same between our CRM and products is operationally expensive, and is not guaranteed to last. 

Hi Team,Currently when we export a success snapshot with a google slide, we get the below email saying “Here is your success snapshot for xyz company” , but there is no actual attachment added to the email. The google slide exported is shared to out google drive and needs to be accessed from there.  For, PDF files exported as snapshot we have the option “Download here” in the email that lets us download the success snapshot for the email itself It would be nice to improve the email message when exporting google slides that they will be found drive of the associated account or include the drive link in the email as the current message seems a little confusing for the customers

The Date field in the GainsightPX_User_Engagement_Clicks report gets logged as Unix epoch time. A human readable format is much easier to use, and is common in other AWS integration export files.

 It would be great if we have the option to migrate People Maps from our Sandbox to the Production via the cross org migration tools given we spend so much time and effort configuring it.

Merchandizing the home page of a community effectively is an important part of exposing content to new and existing members and driving engagement with content and deeper sections of the community.I’m finding the current homepage capabilities to be rather limited. In short, I’d like to see more flexibility in where a component/widget can be placed in the page and more flexibility to differentiate the layout of widgets (this would also help avoid the problem of most inSided sites looking the same).For example, today full width you can use: But many of these items can’t be used in a 2:1 container the you are restricted as to what can be used in a particular column in the 2:1 column structure  In the 2:1 left column you can use these:And in the 2:1 right column you can use these:  It would be great if modules worked interchangeably at Full width, 2 column, 3 column and could be placed where needed vs. where dictated.Here’s some examples:display a list of events in a 2:1 container not just

Posting on behalf of customer:Hi Team,Currently, we can get the webhook events generated for the events that are initiated from the application like new user signup/custom events/engagement.But for events that we can be generated via API like custom event/new user creation cannot trigger corresponding webhook events. I’d like the ability to send a direct message to all community members at the same time, in the form of an announcement.Basically, we occasionally publish something that everyone needs to read (an announcement) and I’d like them notified. I can put it on the homepage or create an article and feature that - but they don’t get any sort of notification of new content. Please let me know if there’s a hack that could make this happen!

Hi Team, Customer has reached out to support for having the ability to configure the form that appears while adding a new record on a report that is added as a related list on C360. As of now, we do not have control on rearranging the columns that appear when we click on Add record. Please share your views on the feasibility of this request. Thanks!  

Right now, I can include the name of the Success Plan but there is no easy way to get to the source Success Plan without navigating to the success plan and opening it up.  Ideally, the name would hyperlink in both the objective CTA itself and the Cockpit when included.   

Hi Team, In JO Programs when we click on delete option against the exclusion list it is deleted directly with out any alert/notification. So it would be great and really helpful if team can implement an alert/notification which notifies the user that the action will delete the exclusion list from the JO program.This will help as an extra security layer if the file is being deleted.

Hey GS Product team,Would love for Gainsight to consider a usability enhancement to automatically apply all global filters to reports that are added to a dashboard.When we put together the original design / reports to be included in a dashboard, we usually add the global filters after, which makes them apply to all the reports added.However, for any additions - aka reports added to the dashboard after the original build, one would have to remember to go back to each individual global filter and manually add all of them in for each and every global filter. This is not only annoying and time consuming, but also one would have to actually remember to do it.What I am proposing instead is to have the ability to automagically apply the global filters for the newly added reports to a dashboard OR offer the admin the option to do so via pop-up show up that asks them if they want to apply the global filter to the newly added report.Thank you for your consideration! 

Adding a 'Created By' field to PX’s custom User and Account Attributes would allow admins to better track change management and assign ownership/maintenance for these attributes

In categories, you can currently filter/sort by Most replies, most views, or newest first. I’d like to also be able to filter by topic type. That might look like adding these options: Questions  Conversations ArticlesUse case: Categories that want to be a one-stop shop for different types of content, including articles. You can publish articles to a community category (and I have use cases for doing so), it’d be great to be able to filter by articles. Without it, it requires manual curation of featured articles at the top of the program, or rolling up the list in an article (more manual curation). 

Hi Team, Issue: Inline filter on a multi pick-list field is not working as expected.Scenario: (Example to understand the scenario)Below are the pick-list values that are present in salesforce. A B C D A,B,C - Inactive C,D - Inactive When we are providing the value A in search (Inline filter) the pick list value A,B,C is present in the data but the same is not available in the dropdown. I have reached out to engineering team regarding this behaviour and got confirmation this is an expected behaviour for now and the functionality will be improved as part of an enhancement , hence logging this community post.

We would love to have the possibility to categorize products in “Filter by product” in Product Ideas and Product Updates. Currently the list of products displays alphabetically, for us that means platform products, applications, and beta features display messy pending on the product/feature brand name. In our use case we’d like to categorize the products displaying in “Filter by product” in categories, with the most important products on top, such as Platform, Applications, and Beta, as an example. Would that be possible to accommodate for?
