Discuss Gainsight Products

Example: for communities with ideas permissioned to only some users, do ideas render when embedded into a topic or reply in a public community category? My guess is yes, but want to confirm before we build it into our strategy.

Hello Team,When we try to change the font size in the content in Email Assist task, we are unable to see the available options. We are able to see the available options if we scroll down. Can we improve this experience by showing the size options in any other areas based on resolution. Thanks & Regards,Srikanth

In Rules Engine we do not have date filters in terms of quarters as in report builder, here I came with the workaround on how to do that. Let us see some use cases that need Quarter as the date filters: Pull the number of unique logins happened in last quarter and create CTA if usage drops Number of meetings CSM had with the customer  in the quarter and draw insights about Engagement Number of support tickets raised by the customer in the last quarter and decide the support score based on that.  To solve these use cases, we should be able to filter based on quarters. But since we do not have that we tend to use last 90 days data but might not give the same data unless you are running the rule on the first day of the current quarter. So, there is simple work around to pick data quarter-wise: i) To pull the data of previous  quarter:  From the data set where pull the date fields, do not apply any data filter. Just pull in the date field into the show section. In the next transformat

We want to add a custom email template for each end user for a specific playbook.  Is that possible?

Hi everyone! We’re migrating from our existing community to InSided at the moment, and one of our core requirements was the ability for users to set an alias for themselves instead of using their real name. I’ve tried playing around in the profile area but can’t see a way for a user to customise their name. How is this done? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi,We notice something doesn't work correctly when searching via the search bar. When typing the topic (at our community) web designer (mind with a space and the correct spelling) no results for web designer pop up.When typing webdesigner (without space and the wrong spelling) the results pop-up.Thanks in advance for diving into thisPetra

Hello Gainsight Admin community, Next time you want to troubleshoot on usecases likeHow the field is getting the value into ? What is the source of the object ? How is the data flow happening ?  Are there dependencies to check before I delete ?And many similar questions. Then you can use this super hero from Adminstration → Analyzer which is a one stop for most of the troubleshooting questions. Where you can find multiple feature analysers that gives you a brief idea on what is happening at feature level. Now select Object analyzer and go to the tab data flow diagram.Select the object either Gainsight/Salesforce object. Here in this example I selected Company object. Click on view. Which gives you a detailed data flow diagram on all the dependencies/inflow/outflow of the object we selected. You can click on those circled numbers and scroll down to get the details of the rules that are populating data into them Choose a specific field on the right side of which you want to understand the

Hello GS Community. I was very excited about being able to associate CTAs and Cases to Timeline entries. But, after following the instructions here:https://support.gainsight.com/SFDC_Edition/Timeline/Admin_Guides/Configuration_of_Associated_Records_to_TimelineThe only “associated records” choice was Company. We don’t use Relationships so it’s not important to us but Cases and CTAs are. We are still on the sf.com instance. Here’s what I see  Did anyone come across this problem? thanks!Lyne

Hi, the question should be clear from the title. I am curious to know after how much time the RESET PASSWORD link expires. Cheers!

Hi all,Perhaps this question or idea has already been posted here, but I wasn't able to find anything related to this. If there is in fact already a topic about this subject, please let me know! As an older community we have quite bit of content that is quite old, but still very valuable and beneficial for our users. For example: https://community.t-mobile.nl/nieuws-552/belangrijk-phishing-of-spamberichten-in-omloop-218594 (don't pay attention to the lay-out, we're working on it!)This topic has been published almost 8 years ago, but is still relevant, perhaps now more than ever, with all the phishing and fake texting going on. Its also being used on our website and social media, so all the communications regarding scamming comes through that topic. So, now to the question: Is there a way that we can update or modify the published date? I can imagine that people look at it and go: “Wow, that topic is ancient, I'm looking elsewhere”, even though it still has relevant and actual informatio

Hey all,I have a user who asked if she could actually get a notification on the platform when somebody replies to her comments/ideas/topics etc. Users can see their own activities but not how others/the community responds to their activities. She’s asking if this is in insided somewhere; not an email notification. Thanks so much! Andrew

Hi, we have gated our training resources behind the log in wall. However, this means the section is entirely invisible to non-logged in users so they might not know the content exists at all.As a solution, I was hoping I could create a knowledge base category that is visible only to non-logged in users that tells them about the content they can access once they log in.I am having trouble setting up the visibility permissions so that only non-logged in users can see that section.I created the knowledge base category and selected these permissions: But it is still visible to users who are logged in: Am I missing something? Please help

Is it possible to capture/use Gainsight Events through API’s?

Greetings Gainsight Community, I am looking for a database schema with primary and secondary keys.  I need this to be able to build from the 18 or 19 exported Gainsight tables.  I am building a product universe for reporting and increased dashboarding with other company data outside of the Gainsight environment. Thanks for reviewing my post.  All contributions are very welcome as it will be more than I had today when I posted this question.Hope your day is filled with joy and fun!

Currently, the REST API import is coded to accept one file at a time for import. To get a chance of future support for bulk import in the future Gainsight would need to have an enhancement request on the community. This is the enhancement request to do a BULK REST API to allow a bulk import of localized language translation files (xlf, xliff). I have some python code that will for an engagement spin through a file location and upload xliffs.I would like to expand this code to allow a spin through by engagement and upload the appropriate engagement xliffs. The better plan would be to get automation of the transfer between the langage provider and Gainsight.  If anyone has done this or has any helpful comments, I will appreciate any help I can get on this.Thank you.

Does anybody out there have multiple language options in their Knowledge Base? We are tring to share only content from our Knowledge Base that is currently translated in local language.  I was wondering if any Knowledge Base tools (Google, Salesforce, Thought Industries) has content in multiple languages and if that Knowledge Base can serve up articles that are only in the localized language?

Hi Experts,I am new to gainsight. I am exploring gainsight custom events but couldn’t find what exactly can be done with it, what are different gainsight event properties etc.Is it possible to monitor API calls being made in the page using gainsight? For example, show a gainsight dialog if a particular API returns error message.Appreciate any inputs on this. So far I explored following related to this topic:https://support.gainsight.com/PX/Analytics/Tracking/Custom_Events_and_Super_Properties#Super_Properties_(AKA_Global_Context)https://support.gainsight.com/PX/API_for_Developers/02Usage_of_Different_APIs/Use_Custom_Event_API

How do i show dependencies in the Gantt chart?

we are planning on moving to NXT version. we use JO customer automation emails heavily . did anyone do a migration from SFDC to NXT while using JO? if so, what was the impact to the active programs if any, during the migration and after moving to the new instance?my concern that customer emails might be effected by this and how to i pick up on this in case of issues.  thanks in advance

Once a week we send a newsletter to members and we identified bounced emails. These members and are no longer active in the company they originally signed up with. Because these members don't have access to their work email, how do you suggest we treat them? What do you do?On a case by case basis if they are a super user I reach out in Linkedin and invite them to stay and update their email address to either their new company or their personal email.Do you tag these members with a specific Role?Is it appropriate to create a customer role to mark them so that we can exclude/add them when looking at overall member metrics? Any suggestions or best practices welcome. Our Community: SaaS Private for customers via code only. ~170 members

Does Gainsight Flutter SDK support null safety?

From Control > Customization > HeaderWhat does this URL do / where does it show? Should it be our company / community URL or is there a reason it might be insided.com?  (cc: @cbeac2432)

Just as I am able to reorder the fields for my custom activity types, I would love to be able to reorder the fields on the standard Gainsight activity types (like "Call") to better fit the needs of our CSM team.

I am trying to map to a field which is a few levels from the starting points and can’t do it.  I’ve searched the Community but didn’t find any help. The Journey Orchestrator token I’m trying to access is:  Relationship -> D365 CSIP (custom object) -> SE Primary (field name) -> User (object) -> NameThe system seems to be limiting me to only one table join and then the field names.  Is there any way around this?Thank you,Steve
