So, on the catalog pages, I noticed there's an arrow next to the academy logo that lets users go back to the previous catalog page. It is not persistent across courses though. So, here's the issue. When using the back button, the user is forced to go back through all previous navigation before getting to the catalog page. And, the in-course navigation to a catalog page doesn't exist. Once a user is done with the course, it just sits there with nowhere to go except the links in the header or the back button. The work around is to create another lesson in the course that provides the user with a link back to where you want them to go. But it would be delightful if we didn’t have to add a fake lesson and there could be another navigation button at the bottom of the course that would say back [to catalog page] and it would take the user back to the last catalog page they visited.
Hi Team! The Associated People field is valuable for identifying client points of contact on open CTAs, especially during account transitions or when managing large books of business. It has also allowed us to send targeted communications to clients who are associated people on CTAs. Currently: The field cannot be set as required when creating CTAs. Reporting does not easily allow us to identify CTAs without at least one associated person, making it difficult to monitor user compliance. The ability to make this field required would significantly improve our processes.
The Views dropdown under the Forecast section displays views in an inconsistent or random order, with no option to define or control the sequence. The alphabetical sorting also seems partial or unreliable, making it difficult for users to access views in a consistent order, which affects forecast review efficiency. The ability to manually reorder views, enforce alphabetical sorting, or set a default or pinned view for all users in the Forecast section is the request. Their desired outcome is to have the ability to define or persist the order of views in the Forecast dropdown to ensure consistency and improve usability across all users.
In Report Builder, you have the ability to create a formula field to return Month name. However, you are unable to sort that field chronologically now and are stuck with months in alphabetical order which is undesirable.Months sorted alphabetically Desired order for months listed above would be:January March April June A proposed workaround is to have an additional column with the date field to sort on. However, this does not work if you have row grouping enabled for your Month name field, as sorting function sorts count of dates and does not sort the underlying dates.
Hello Team, I see that the Reports created from Data Designers are of no use in Gainsight Home Page. First of all the Data Designers don’t have the ability to have lookups to other objects. Due to this the reports created from Data Designers aren’t obeying the filters which are being used in Gainsight Homepage. This limitation is significantly reducing the usage of Gainsight Home Page. I understand that there is a workaround available, which is creating an Object instead of a Data Designer. But, the lookup limitations of Data Designer is the root cause for not using the DDs as widely as the rules. Also, I don’t think this limitation is mentioned in Gainsight Homepage FAQs.
Hi,we have planned private events for certain customer roles. Other customer groups should not be able to join and register for these events.Currently it is not possible to select customer roles as a filter for the events. Is this planned in the future?is there another way to do thisThx, Cathleen
Currently, Student Manager permissions operate independently from course and path visibility settings. This creates an administrative burden, as each Student Manager's permissions must be manually updated whenever a new course or path is added to the Learning Management System (LMS).I recommend implementing a feature that automatically aligns Student Manager permissions with the established course and path visibility rules. This enhancement would streamline administrative workflows, reduce the potential for access discrepancies, and ensure that Student Managers automatically inherit appropriate permissions when new learning content is published. This change would significantly improve operational efficiency and reduce the ongoing maintenance required for user permission management.
It appears that when you are copying and pasting an email, the images do not also copy. We are currently adding them as attachments, but obviously, it would be more ideal to have them included in the actual email. Is that doable? Also, we are looking at turning on the BCC email option soon. Will the images still not carry over with this as well?
When filtering in Timeline, we have the ability to quick filter on Activity Type of “Milestone”, but there is no further way to filter the resulting list to a specific Milestone Type via the “Advanced Filters” option in Timeline. The “Milestone Type Name” field is not available here. The field IS available when building a report, or using rules engine as an example.
Gainsight should allow creation of events which are only visible for a foreign language. e.g. Japan events only visible for customers with Japanese language selector
Some companies are very concerned with branding. Putting the ability to change banners, logos, colors, etc into the hands of an end user can be problematic in this regard.Right now, the following occurs:If permission bundle is limited ONLY to “Invite/Manage/Revoke users to Spaces”End User can still change the banner banner widget template End User cannot edit banner text contentIf permission bundle includes both ““Invite/Manage/Revoke users to Spaces” and “Add/Update Content within widgets in Spaces”End User can edit banner text content, BUT End User can change branding (background image and colors) AND End User can still change the banner banner widget templateThere should be a way in permission bundles that prevents end users from doing anything in spaces, except:edit banner text content (NOT change the banner layout or content) or fields that have been made editable by an admin invite users to a spaceBy Banner text content I mean the text in this space - but NOT access to the gear icon: Also please stop, STOP, STOP adding messages in the platform telling end users to reach out to their admin to enable something. If something isn’t enabled, it’s typically INTENTIONAL. You’re just creating more headaches for admins!!!
I’m hoping this is already on the roadmap but throwing it out there anyway.New feature Spaces would be even more usable if users and customers could attach and exchange files back and forth.
Here we go again. Admins received this notification yesterday.Just because we have turned on a feature doesn’t mean that Gainsight knows exactly how we’re using it. How do we know that the guidance Gainsight will serve up on these features don’t contradict how we’ve instructed our uses to use them? There's more than one way to use Gainsight. Gainsight stepping in and just assuming we’re using features their way has the potential to confuse users and likely screw up adoption. Plus, sometimes an enabled feature is intentionally not in use. How would Gainsight know the difference? Not all customers are the same can't be all put into one basket. Gainsight’s idea of the best way to do things is limited to Gainsight’s “in the bubble” perspective. We face challenges that Gainsight does not, because their entire company is “all in” on CS. We have to curate and roll things out a certain way at a certain time. Some Gainsight customers who are less complex and admins less experienced may welcome the in-app guidance for their users, but for those with more complicated processes/workflows and experienced admins/enablement teams must have the ability to opt out of this. Please stop making our jobs harder than they already are.
Hey - In the backend control for Community - if there was an embedded widget that would recommend “Best Answers”, to help community managers mark best answer on questions within their own community.
This would affect all categories within a section.
Many times, an existing article makes a great template for a new article. Control should support creating a copy of an existing article (making it a Draft).
We're using the automation rule to close topic after a certain amount of days (we use 185 days, 6 months). This works nicely, most of the time 🙂Topics created by moderators/admins and superusers are excluded from this auto close function, which is nice. But other users can also create usefull topics we want to keep open if there was no activity for 6 months. Currenty there is no option to exclude topics from others, so we have to reopen it manually. It would be nice to exclude topics from the auto close function when they have been reopend - or have a list where we can add topics we don't want to close that way. The first option would be the most ideal, but the second option works aswel.
Ideas should have the same permission options as other categories: Visibile Create Topics Create RepliesAnd questions like this show use cases for also a permission around who can vote. I can imagine use cases where a community might want to limit who can vote on ideas: Excluding staff users from voting Excluding staff/partners, just customers Excluding prospects
Hi there,I’ve had this on my mind for a while and we currently do not have feature parity when it comes to formula fields. In data designer we can create the following categories of formulas:Date Number String Boolean Datetime In reports we can create the following categories of formulas:Date Number Percentage String In objects, it’s yet another story as we apparently can only create the following categories (which are not classified the same as anywhere else:Fields String functions Date functions Can we please have unified way to build formulas wherever we are, in fields, in reports, in data designer, in horizon rules, in the future Journey Orchestrator (dare I say in bionic rules 😅 - nah just kidding)? Thanks!
