Welcome to the new multi-product Gainsight Community! 🚀

Welcome back!  Between Monday 11th and Monday 18th December we were busy merging our Gainsight and inSpired communities. Now we’re back and are excited to share our new multi-product community with you!A couple of important things you need to know:For security reasons we’re not able to migrate passwords - that means you need to reset your password the first time you come back after the merge.  It just takes a few moments!   We aren’t able to migrate Group membership, so you’ll need to re-join any Groups you were previously part of. Don’t worry, we’re also going to be sending out invites to make it really easy for you!What else has changed?  A lot!  🚀We now have community discussion areas for all of our Gainsight products (CS, PX, CC and CE) and every product has a new landing page full of relevant content, links and resources. We now have industry best practice areas for Customer Success, Product Experience, Communities, and Customer Education. We’ve greatly simplified the taxonomy of

We need to Rejoin our Groups back on GameChanger Community after the merger ⛺️

The Good news is that all our content, activity, badges and points would be restored on the Community.However, Group memberships would not be retained through the process. What happens?After successful completion of the merge, My Groups on the ‘Groups’ section would be a clean slate. We have to start finding our way back to groups we have been using.Before merger                                                                         After mergerThe migration workflow limits Groups being migrated as content-folders only, but without the membership. And neither can membership be restored as a bulk operation afterward, because of an unavailability of a Group Api today. 2 mins to Re-join your Groups ⛺️Find: From the Groups and Betas section, click on the rounded group tabs under the Find a new group title to sift through groups Join: Joining is largely self-service. How does the Gainsight Community bring value to you?

The Gainsight Community feels like Home to me. Anyone can take part - including the occasionally socially awkward people like me 😅. In joining, I found what I like to call my « external colleagues », which make such a difference for those of us in one-man band operations.The time you spend helping out you get back tenfold as these interactions make you a better, sharper and more thoughtful CSOps or Digital CS practitioner. -- There’s obviously a longer story behind this. And it goes like this:I really did struggle with the concept of Community initially. It just didn’t feel natural to me (for many reasons). Why should I expose my struggles in public, right? Couldn’t have been more wrong… I started with idea posting for something that was already possible and I haven’t figured (that was a bit of a shame moment for me, but that’s just not the vibe here), which was followed by posting more ideas for things that didn’t exist with very little votes. It’s amazing to see the peer to peer collaboration on this Community - thanks to you. 🙏 Let’s make this discussion primarily around the Product questions that get posted.Responding to postsPl share how you stay on top of new posts:1.From the activity set options on the Community dropdown menu options?  OR 2.The email notifications from your Subscription to a feature sub-category? OR 3.From the Help others timeline at the bottom of the homepage?        Question for youWhat is your style of discovering fellow Community members’ posts that need responding to? 1, 2 or 3 or all of them? On the other hand is..Asking questionsAnd I think the user would be happier if they did not have to choose between the exact feature module (among 12) and be able to just submit it for the parent product in a common bucket So simplifying the Category structure is definitely on my mind but let’s start this discussion from the Effective Answering of the posts angle.

Celebrating 9 years and 10K Community Members!

I’m excited to celebrate our Gainsight GameChanger’s Community reaching the amazing milestone of 10K members! I also thought this would be a fun opportunity to revisit some of the key events and participants in our nearly 9 years of Community history. (And, I hope those with a better memory than me chime in to correct any of my mistakes! 😅)While my own involvement with Community management began about 7 years ago, it was actually my current manager @emily_mcdaniel_629a86 who launched the community back in December 2014. At the time, she ran our Support team, and like so many other initiatives the motivation and inspiration for Community was born in Support. Throughout the community’s history we were very fortunate to have @karl_rumelhart, now our President of Products, Technology, & Global Operations, as a strong proponent of Community. Why you dont use quotes?

Sorry my provocative topic but I have seen a lot comments without quotes, for a long time, and I wonder why people doesnt use quote. There is only @mention and reply and thats about it. As you know there are always bunch of people who lurks in the background, who just follows the discussion. For them it is difficult and annoying to know what was the question or comment where this comment is answering. They have to jump back and forward to see the question and the reply. This is issue especially with the long threads with several users. Does this have something to do with the other social channels, they dont have quotes and people have used not to use quotes?  This is truly first world problem but I am sad about this behaviour :D

10,000 members!!

Whoa!  10,000 users in the Gainsight community!  Congratulations to all the members who have created something incredibly special -- real engagement, real community. I am struck by how wonderfully the community embodies our concept of human first.  Within Gainsight’s product and engineering teams, the community has helped us always keep in the front of our minds that our customers are people.  We talk to them.  They talk to each other.  We learn their personalities and focus areas. To think that the little tribe of Gainsight enthusiasts connecting through the community nine years ago has grown to 10,000 is like seeing that we have more friends than we even realized.  Thanks for your friendship.
