Another one question on badges. Is it possible to make the same badge with e.g. 3 levels. For example, Helper I requires 1 Solution, Helper II requires 5 Solutions, Helper III requires 50 Solutions. When a member reaches 5 Solutions the badge "Helper II" should replace "Helper I".

Hello, Is it possible to grant badge for something had been done within the specific period? I mean, for instance, such badge like "The most useful helper of 2018" which should be granted to a member who provided the highest amount of Answers during 2018/-19/-xx year.

Hello, I'm trying to match my previous experience with InSided's training session. And I have some mismatches related to badging. Learning Gamification I kept the rule that all rewards should be reachable for every member and the way to get each one should be clear. There were a lot of researches of it. All my previous experience makes me sure that: A member of community should see all possible badges somewhere within his private profile to know which ones he can reach and how. Badges which are not reached yet are shown inactive, reached ones are active. A member should understand what is the badge he has just earned for. As I see in your own community, and also the thing you said at activation session, a member should not know how to earn any badge (and which badges he can earn) at all. As for me, I see I earned 3 badges for yesterday but I even don't know for what are those badges. Okay, I can guess "Ideation guru" is for several ideas posted. But "Smart cookie" and "Sprinter"..

How do you handle posts from 2-3 or 4 years ago surface back to the 'recently active' because someone posted a reply to a question even though the question had a 'best answer' selected. Just trying to think about workflow here.

In what way does it make sense that the number of views (bekeken) is 0 and the number of replies is 3 (reacties)? Shouldn't the number of views be at least equal or higher than the number of replies?

Each and every company has a different product and business strategy. I am sure there no one template that could work for everyone. Hence it is necessary to iterate and test in order to find right features for you community. Can you please suggest some interesting features and A/B testing techniques? Thanks!

I've read this article about ranks. Great! Since I started as interim community manager at Eneco I don't like the way they set up the ranks. It starts with '1 watt' and goes up to '500 terawatt', in total 19 different ranks. I think this doesn't speak to anyone. I think people don't understand that 500 kilowatt is more than 250 megawatt (it's the other way round actually ;-)) I've added a screenshot of the ranks we are using at the moment. As I look at other communities, I like that better. Like Ziggo: Nieuwkomer, ontdekker, Super User, Liefhebber, Expert, etc Or T-Mobile: Klant expert, top poster, legendarische super user, etc. Two questions: is 19 ranks too much (or too less)? what ranks do you use (can you share a screenshot)? We are setting up a private area on the forum to support a specific group of employees. Ideally I want them to only see this new private area and not the whole public facing forum. I cannot see how to do this in control? It looks like we might need a new specific role created to help us facilitate this. Anyone know?? Darran

A struggle that every community is troubling with is bringing back those users who have become inactive. Many users share their question and, once it has been answered, will leave the community for good. Of course our notification emails will reach them as well, but that requires activity in those topics / subforums which the user has subscribed to. Re-targeting campaigns are not uncommon, you can choose to identify and then target specific groups of your userbase in order to stimulate them with interesting content. Others choose to check on activity of their very active members, to ensure that they keep coming back to the community. Hello, I've recently been asked about offering multiple "language support" for our community.  Anyone have some ideas on the topic? I know Sonos has a "Other language forums" category with two subforums; one for Swedish and the other for Norwegian - That seems like a good method.  Do you duplicate content for that language or let it organically grow? I would like to hear from other's on possible options I can share with my leadership team. I know Google Chrome allows for built-in translation but not everyone uses Google Chrome.

Hi! Can someone explain to me how I can perform an analysis on our custom moderator tags? The existing exports do not seem te show the moderator tags? Example: We currently add the moderator tag ''idee'' to some customer topics. I would like to get insight into how many ''ideeën'' are submitted within a certain time range. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm working for a software company, and we recently started using Insided. Before we used Insided we had a thing we called wish website. We had this site for over 8 years. The problem we were never able to cope with in a good manner is expectation management. See, we do want to know what our customers want, but over the course of 8 years we only had a few handful of customer wishes that really contributed to the growth of our products. We had hundreds of wishes of the category 'nice to have'. And, obviously, some wishes were nonsense. The first category is easy: do it. The third category is also easy: don't do it. But the second category, the nice to haves, are much harder. Our customers get certain expectations when they are able to add wishes for development, and as a product owner I would like to be transparent in my communication. Hello fellow community Managers, the core of what we do centers around finding way to engage all the users of our communities, attracting them to become and stay active and thus create a vibrant and valuable community. Through gamification, we aim at triggering those “happy moments” (endorphine releases) which provide a gratification for users and hook them to our communities. However, the current gamification system is highly geared towards specific activities around creation of content and misses other social activities that I want to endorse to drive a healthy community. In the course of our inSpired Innovation Lab we hosted a series of roundtables. During the roundtable around engagement, 10 Community Managers and Moderators came together to discuss the topic of engagement on the community. Due to technical issues, the recording did not have the level of quality we expected. Hence we have decided to write out all the things that have been discussed, so that you can read back all the tips and tricks. This roundtable was started with two open questions to all participants: What pops up when you think about community engagement? Why is engagement important to you? The participants had different topics in mind when it came to engagement. Some focused on interaction and replies, while others were more concerned with the helpfulness of the content and creating a welcoming environment for new users. Hello 🖐️ We noticed that users with a pseudo-compound like "@Pol Corty" can't be found very easily from frontend. You have to type "@Pol" then search in the list to find the user. Maybe an improvement to do in the future to make our user's life better. Thanks!

Hi, Issue detected: when you type a text and after you finish writing your text you want to quote someone. When you use the"@" in the middle of this same text, the cursor leaves at the end of the text systematically.

Lately my percentage of people 'who find an answer' is dropping. 😢 I read comments from my exit survey (which is popping up way to fast) and a lot of people complain that the 'structure' is not easy. Because of this they don't find the answer they are looking for. Do you have the same issue? Or does anyone has some tips for me? Recently, I've been experimenting with filters to find a way to create a "Smart Filter". Normally, in order to see topics with no replies from the last two weeks, I will need to create a filter like so, for each reporting period: I essentially paint the boundaries of the content I need and it gives me exactly what I need. 👌🏼 However, I feel the need to optimize... I tested out using "Publish Date Range" and setting it to older than last week. Soon after, I learned that "Last Week" literally means the last week (Monday - Monday) as opposed to the last 7 calendar days. Looking at the other options for filter conditions there are: 24 hours, Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month, Last Year. I have yet to discover a combination of filter conditions that would allow me to see content published in the last 7 (or 14) days without needing to specifically put in dates and re-creating filters.
