We’re created a custom page that is exclusive to a custom user role. And we’re using SSO to automatically provision the custom role to specific users as they join our community 👍Is there any way to generate a link or URL that will:Prompt someone to create a community account Then navigate them to the custom page, which they’ll then have access to (because their credentials match our criteria to have the custom role assigned).The only way I’ve been able to get close is to customize our 403 error page, but it’s still not the best UX. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Has anyone utilized the native SFDC x Community integration to pull in product updates from SFDC? We’re planning to utilize the native Product Updates module, and our product management team wants to ensure that they’re not having to make manual updates on multiple surfaces.If we have roadmap items stored in SFDC, is it possible to automatically create posts for each item with the content populated?

Sorry if I’ve missed an obvious answer to this, but is there any reason why end users can’t change their usernames? Seems the only way to do so is for a community manager to do it for them in the control environment. Is that correct?

We have ideas restricted to our employees and partners currently (set by custom role). It seems like a bug that the Ideas link appears in the top navigation for everyone - even when you aren’t signed in. Our Knowledgebase is also restricted and you don’t see it when you aren’t signed in. Is this a bug? Shouldn’t ideas only appear in the header nav if you have access to it? 

Hi, I have seen several threads about editing the phrases in the footer/ hiding them, but I’m hoping someone can advise on how to ADD a third link. In addition to “Terms and Conditions” and “Cookie Settings”, I’d like a third URL to point to an external page where our Privacy Policy lives within our corporate website.

Are user groups down? Customers can no longer access the link to join private user groups and I can no longer generate the URL to invite a user.

Anyone know of a way to pull in the unique visitor number from the Analytics > Audience using API? Or really any of the audience data?

I’ve had success setting up our Salesforce integration, however, while it has recognized the number of accounts/customers we have in the engagement tab, where it is lacking is the recognition of which community members belong to which account if they’re using a different email (say a personal one) than what we have on file?N.B: We were short on engineering resources during our build so we opted to skip setting up the SSO, much to my chagrin. But here we are…please don’t @ me haha  So what am I looking for? Are there any suggestions, hacks, tips, ideas on how I could use the integration or a different integration (zapier maybe) to add community members to accounts in our salesforce instance?

Hi, I followed the instructions in this document to set up OpenID Connect SSO for the Gainsight Network Community. I can log in to the Community website and upload my profile image, but when I sign out and sign back in, the profile image doesn’t appear to be updated.   

Hello inSpired community, Do keyboard shortcuts exist in our inSided communities? I often find myself re-editing responses in order to highlight specific parts, mark a specific term, add a hyperlink etc. If only I could do that by cmd+b (bold), cmd+i (italics), cmd+k (hyperlink), etc. Doing so with the help of keyboard shortcuts would speed up that process for me and I would love to see this implemented. Based on my tests, it seems not possible, but thought I’d ask (and document) here for others. GET User calls return “usertitle” in the payload for users with custom user titles (but nothing for that field if they don’t have one) Both PUT calls to update user profiles returned errors when I tried to update Update a field in a user’s profile Update a custom field in a user’s profile @Kenneth R & @revathimenon, this will likely need insight from the GS team.

We have two problems. First one appears here as well:Even we have excluded certain roles from the leaderboard widget and leaderboard page, users still appears in the widget and the page. I dont know when this has been started, maybe several weeks ago. Here and in our community as well.I cant find our roles from the leaderboard widget. For example: Administrator or Moderator. There are roles what seems to be roles from other Finnish community. I have selected roles what seems to be moderator role but widget still displays our mods.Is there anyone who have same problems?

We recently connected Salesforce into our CC so we could see the engagement dashboard in analytics but there is no data yet. Where can I find the toggle for Import Salesforce Account data to Customer Communities?I’m not sure what we’re missing, any insight would be amazing. Thank you! 

I am sending my regular monthly community newsletter and for some reason the username code is picking up receivers name in all small letters. I would like the initials to be capitalized as that’s how it used to be. Any help is appreciated. Code in the email campaignThis is how my name is getting dispyed when I reciev the email 

I want to design badges that relate to our our leaderboard, specifically using the same icon that displays for the top 3 on the leaderboard. How can I get that file? 

Do members get notified if an admin/community manager/moderator edits their post in the community? 

A hypothetical question: If we bring over the left side of the email in SSO (mattie.krop@company.com → mattie.krop) it forces the name of the user. It’s a better user experience in terms of auto-registering folks, but how does this play into privacy laws. I’m sure it depends on the privacy statements clients already acknolwege when it comes to use of platforms, but when they opt-in to give you their info it’s not necessarily to be used in a broader community. It might seem trivial, but chopping off that email to see a first name could still feel like a breaking of boundaries. How have your teams handled this situation? Did you opt to simply have people manually register themselves the first time (at minimum having to choose their own username) they come in through SSO?   

So, my org has multiple products which means there are multiple product updates that go out at any and all times.We currently use the Product Updates part of the platform but realize that folks aren’t subscribing because it’s an all or nothing kinda thing. We want to be able to organize product updates better by product and were thinking of creating groups for this instead where members can sign up for a group and receive a notification when an article (product update) is made. I was wondering if you all had any ideas on how to best do product updates so that members can only receive those to the specific products that they are interested in instead of all or nothing, I hope I made sense.

Hey there!I’d like to better manage Product Updates and Ideas in the Community. I am looking to utilise Zapier to be notified (via slack) of when a Product Update is posted that matches an existing idea/s in the Community so we can ensure it’s been updated efficiently. I am struggling to locate/set this up for the Product updates section.  In addition, I am also looking to improve our management of duplicate/matches ideas - in the same line, it would be great if we can be notified of matching/duplicate ideas via that slack channel (through zapier) so that we can efficiently merge and/or update accordingly. Has anyone set something like this up before?  Thank you!
