Customer Communities (CC)

Our team is needing to find an easy way to be notified when a user reaches a new rank. We are wanting to send them swag. But we have not found an easy way to do this.  We can create a report of the users that are in that rank - but it does not show us “when” they were assigned that rank.  Any ideas/suggestions?

Hello there! 😎“Is there a way to change other users profile picture?”We have some user profiles, for example The community team that has a profile picture from way back when we started the community. I would like to change the profile picture, but isn’t able to log in with the account since it is an old SSO-login. (doesn’t work with changing password/email)Is there any other way to change the profile picture? (without using really messy CSS)

HiMy Community is for Sales People - they have a lot of jargon they use, but I’m aware that some of my Community members will be new to the industry. I’d love to be able to have optional definitions available for certain words, so that I can use my audience’s language without alienating newbies.What I’m picturing is being able to set that users can hover over specific words and see the definition in a little modal. Similar to how on some websites there might be a ? next to a field which if you hover over it explains the field. Can anyone confirm if this is possible? Thanks :)

We often see replies to answered question threads months or years after the initial conversation. Sometimes it’s a clarifying question or comment specific to the original post, but often it’s someone troubleshooting the solution provided, asking for help with something similar, and/or the type of content that should be it’s own thread. Does anyone close topics for this use case or have a process for handling these types of things? What are the pros/cons of doing this? 

This feels like a super simple request, but it’s not. There’s no real way to do this right?I need to go and sort on the backend by number of replies and then add a public tag. Then I can click on that tag and send the list over. I have an idea out there to add bulk tags, which would help here. And I think there’s an idea to add the option of sorting by LEAST replies from the front end drop down.But is there an easier way to do this, that I’m not seeing? Anyone have a work around besides manually adding a tag to each question not responded to?

We have an integration set up with Aha for ideas but things converted from questions to ideas aren’t going over. Is there a way to see on the backend when a questions has been converted to an idea?

Hey CommunityI think you’ll agree that finding benchmark numbers for community is like rocking horse poop!! 🤣I’ve been live for 8 weeks now. 13% of my registered customer audience have taken an action.Anyone else willing to share their engagement rate at 8 week in, and how they have seen this number change over the lifetime of their community? I realise this isn’t completely black and white, we all have different objectives with our communities but a little peep into your world would be helpful.  I’d be grateful. 🙏

Hi All - I just created a bunch of new badges to recognize experts in each of our categories. Is there a way to see if anyone has met those criteria? I did the rank rebuild, but guessing that might not apply to badges?  They are automatic, not manual.

We have a first world problem on out community. A lot of replies are unreadable beacause users don't always understand how to use the quote function. So things get really messy...This is what we see: <message> <message> <message> <message> <message>This is what we want:

We have set up a group in our community which we want to be private, i.e. users request to join it, but we only want users with a certain custom role to be able to request to join. Is this possible? If so how? Alternatively, is it possible to hide the group menu option on the mega menu to just users with a given custom role? Thank you in advance!Ellie

We have just completed a data migration from our former forums to inSided and 1300 posts were brought into the Moderation Overview and marked as unread. In reality, all of these posts have been dealt with by our team already. Is there any way to mark these as read without clicking through each one individually?

I feel like this shouldn’t be too tricky but I can’t seem to crack it. We’d like to use the banner widget, with title on top and image on bottom, but have two of them side-by-side. So two banners, each taking up 50% of the width.I’m comfortable using an HTML widget and some CSS, but I can’t seem to figure out the CSS to achieve this. Would appreciate any help!Ideally, this would be responsive as well, but I can tinker with that part if need be.

The option to export data to salesforce seems to missing from the tab. My exporting all seemed to stop in december. 

This is minor issue but is it true, that even the category is hidden from the moderators, they still can see the topics in Control? There is no way to hidden topics from the Control as well?I am asking this because I am testing different things and I dont want to confuse moderators with silly topics 😀

Hey team!As I’m playing around on staging I noticed that there are some features available there that are not on production.Namely:Subtitle on Featured Topics widget Widget Style section on widgetsThere may be more, but I happened to notice these. Should/could these be on production?

Is it possible to create a private knowledge base category and upload company material and resources, such as, PPTs, PDFs, videos etc? My idea is to create multiple private knowledge base categories with specific content in PDF, PPT, video formats.

I know we can permission edit time, but does that include delete?

Hi all! As our community adoption continues to grow, I am looking to build out a stronger engagement strategy to keep our community members coming back more frequently. Our community is made up primarily of HR and People leaders (benefits, finance, talent, etc.) and we have had a lot of interest lately in the possibility of hosting Community Roundtables for folks to connect further.We currently have AMA events every month that are community drop in style rather than a webinar style, but we would like to add community roundtable events to our list of engagements so our clients connect via Zoom rather than only through posts. We also hope this leads to our clients meeting up outside of the Community in real life, too!Do any of you currently host roundtable events within your communities? If so, what are some best practices and strategies that you have in place or learned when hosting these? Appreciate any and all input on this :)
