We’re using the new Federated Search API (beta) and loving it! We’re also currently a private community, so content access isn’t an issue. However, we’re exploring a move to a public community with specific categories, modules, etc permissions set to private (toggled off unregistered/logged-out users). In a public community setting, how will the federated search content work for logged-out users? My assumption is that those results will default to the community setting and be public. So when an unregistered user leverages the search bar, they’ll be able to see those listings. cc: @Marion Frecaut

Hi all!  My team and I are looking to encourage users to ‘subscribe’ to topics more and so increase our peer-to-peer learning as more users will be notified when certain questions are asked. We’re aware that we can customize the button, but does anyone have any recommendations or experience with what design looks best/catches the eye or any ideas on what not to do?  Would love any and all insight friends!  Happy holidays, Taylor 

Hi there,I must admit the tool to edit the HTML code on ‘email templates’ is driving me crazy. There are two main issues with it that make my life quite difficult:Often times it freezes and it doesn’t let me choose a specific line or word, making it almost impossible to edit. Basically when I try to edit some piece of code but the cursor goes to 2 lines above   When I copy-paste a piece of code I never get the same text  It only pastes half of it or a random section. I don’t know if this is happening to more folks using the platform, but it’s making email editing very challenging. PS: it also happens when trying to edit front end HTML widgets.  

Hi All,  I’m working towards a Surprise and Delight Initiative for our Community Users. An idea I had was to send them ‘handwritten cards’ on special events or important dates in their Community journey like joining the Community/thanking them for their participation or increased involvement / their Community membership anniversary etc.  Does anyone know if we are allowed to collect addresses/business addresses for this type of scenario from our users or if this is against any policy of some kind? Is it possible to tag members for moderators to keep track of interesting people for gamification purposes? 

Is there a way inSided to better understand who’s not only signed up, but is coming back?I can see a registration date, last login, if and when they post, reply, like, but I don’t seem to see a way to identify whether they are coming back or not.Is that last_visit in the exports and just not visible elsewhere in Control?

Hello :)We are in the process of uploading our knowledge base and implementing the embeddable widget and my team wondered -  Is it possible to open a ticket directly from the widget - or in another way privately?  

Hi, Instead of simply guiding our members to different pages (outside of our community) by adding a link to a piece of text, we wanted to add a little bit more flair by creating buttons and images to click. However when we add the image to a post and add the link, it won’t open simply by clicking the image. Instead an image preview opens. Is there a workaround for this? Can we somehow disable the image preview? Adding the link itself seems to work, since right clicking the image and choosing to open the link in a new tab actually opens the correct page.

Hi there! Recently created a topic in regards to the point system and feature within insided. Would love to know if there is a way to export the total point data for all users within a community without having to manually type it in from looking at leaderboards?Leaderboards also tend not to have all users (stops at top 1000) so would love to hear from the community here on how people have analyzed and exported point data to then convert points to possibly a dollar value

Hey there! I think our community uses the Flagged/Reported folder a little differently. We have our superusers flag conversations that require agent intervention. Our moderators then have a 1 hour turn around target. For the most part it works extremely well. Since we’re coming up to the end of the year, I’m being asked by the business to show metrics on how well this approach worked and how close we were to our target. I know how to export all the reported posts but is there any way figure out how long it took us to reply within the thread?

I’ve added the presentation to an event that has finished … but I don’t see it. It uploads on the backend, but not visible in the community. Any ideas?

Hi, Is there any API to retrieve all the recent posts based on given time period?Eg:  I need to get all  new posts ( questions, replies ) in last 10 minutes. Is there any existing API to do this ? Can we do this using search api (https://api2-us-west-2.insided.com/search)?Is there any documentation regarding this? 

 The maximum length of the message is 250 characters. Please reduce the length of your message. This appears at the top of the page in Control when trying to publish our latest event content. There’s no indication as to which area this refers to, but the only section which has ‘Message’ in it (Confirmation message) is under 250 characters.  Surely I’m not limited to 250 characters for the event description?! 

One of the primary metrics on the Self-Service dashboard is unique visitors who viewed help content, including questions with answers. Given that questions are accessible via the embeddable widget, are views from the widget counted in this metric?

Is there a way to view the number or percentage of users who engaged with content in a given time period (i.e. commented on or Liked a topic)?

Is there documentation for this anywhere? What’s will happen if I decide to follow someone? Do I get emails about their posts? Do they show up in a feed somewhere?

Hey! We’re downloading data about our users via API (using Fetch all users) and doing internal analytics on top of that. However, numbers don’t match due to not activated users, who are not included in inSided analytics. This information isn’t easy to gather via API, it’s hidden in user activity, which is unfortunate. When I download data via export, I can see not activated users with activity timestamp, so that’s not usable also. Do you have an idea how to solve this? Or question for InSided team - would be possible to add information about user activation into Fetch all users?
