Can you add alert after customer submits a new post?

Hi Community! I saw this really neat notification in the Google Community (see below) letting the user know they submitted their post and what to expect. Is this possible in the Community through html or custom css, or other?

How to re-produce 500, 404 and 403 error page?

I’m managing a community and I would like to re-produce 404, 403 and 500 error pages in order to make adjustments to the error message appearance.Can anyone help me with a way to reproduce those error messages?

Why were so many features delayed in latest release?

In the latest release (July 27), I counted twelve changes/features that were delayed until an “independent” release on August 24.Why?I think it’s a bit challenging to mentally keep up with what was changed vs. what’s delayed.I’m really curious about the purpose of delaying those a whole month - why not just delay the whole release? I know other admins are curious as well.

Can we show milestones in the report when we have aggregation by month?

Hello Team,Currently, we have an ability to “Show milestones” when we use any date fields in Group by section.However when we aggregate by Month, we are not allowing to show milestones.Can we show milestones when we use aggregation by month.Thanks & Regards,Srikanth

How can I create CTA (Call to Action) upon viewing an engagement?

Is it possible with in PX to have a button or a link with in an engagement that once clicked/viewed, upon a new user sign-up etc... creates a CTA in Gainsight CS?Use Case : A CTA has to be created in Gainsight CS upon viewing an engagement or having a custom event or having feature match on top my application.

View/access ability to courses in the catalog when groups are set up

In our CE platform we have groups set up so that certain roles can only view/access the specific courses we add for their group. If we mark the course for “In Catalog” but do not add the course to the group - will those users in that group be able to view/access that course?I was not sure if “In Catalog” means EVERY user can view/access the course or only courses added to the group (no matter if a course is In Catalog or not).

How to identify who is using a report in a custom Home layout and remove the dependency

How many times have you tried to delete a report and realized that it is used in Home... but you can't figure out which Layout or Custom Home it is used in? I got a workaround!Step 1: Go to report builder, Right-click → Inspect → Select Network tab → Clear Network Log1 - Open network log and clearStep 2: Search your report  2 - Search report​​Step 3: Select list → Click on the Preview tab → Expand data → Expand data again → Expand 0: → Go to the bottom and copy the usedIn id3 - Find and copy the “usedIn” idStep 4: Pull a report from the GS Asset Usage Tracking object filtering by that id. Now you have the user identified! 4 - Identify the userStep 5: Use the new Ability for Admin to login as a User to delete the dependencyHope this helps 😊

We’re adopting Fullstory and I wanted to know how others have used Gainsight PX and Fullstory together. Which system is used and when? What kind of analytics are being used in each system? General best practices with the two systems, etc. Has anyone stopped using PX for Fullstory?

Adding buttons in an Article

Hi,Not sure if this is possible because afaik you can't add HTML of CSS in an Article. Is there an easy-ish way to add CTA-buttons in de text of an Article? I think it would look clean and it would be more in line with our regular .com site...

I saw a solution for Renewal Center; however, the question is how do we make sure deleted Opportunities in SFDC are also removed from GS Opportunities if we don’t have Renewal Center?

How to add hero image to the Groups home page?

Here Gamechanger community is hero image in the Groups home page, how it is done? I can add hero image only to the group, not to the Groups home page.  Edit: Mods, please fix the typo in the title 😀Mod edit: FIXED!  :-D

New phrases in profile settings - how to get info in advance? (translation related question)

Hi all,I just discovered by chance that new phrases have been added to the profile settings: Spontaneously, I cannot find info in the Gainsight community about it. Is there any communication about it?In general, are newly added phrases communicated somehow?I am asking because it would be helpful to know about new phrases in advance to be able to translate them as soon as possible. Thanks!

Recommendation Section of the KC Bot

When Gainsight introduced the Recommendation section, it filled that gap that was missing - to be able to access page/content-specific topics, instead of needing to search for it or find it inside each category.However, I am finding that users don’t click it much. Some feedback that I got was that they didn’t realize that it was clickable (even though the description states “Click here to learn more about this page”). They see it as a section heading for the content below.I have played around with a different icon, different/same background color, and different heading/description.I am curious to see what everyone is doing and how successful you have been in drawing attention to the Recommendation section. Thanks in advance!

SSO

Hello!  We are currently using the Token method for SSO for our users, which only allows for one "Login URL". However, we will soon have multiple domains within our product that users will be coming to our Community and we need to be able to add multiple Login URLs so that users from both places are able to SSO in.  Does anyone have experience with this in their Community?  I was told by the Gainsight engineering team that their SSO settings only support a single login URL for each protocol but suggested I ask the Community in case others have a solution.  thank you!

Creating a Beta Group Internally - Suggested Strategies

We are looking to create a beta group with a diverse set of our end users for all of the new AI tools that are coming down the pipeline. We have attempted beta groups in the past with little to no success and what feels to be a waste of time. I am curious if anyone else currently does this with their teams & can provide any light on how to measure success of the groups, encourage / require participation, & also set expectations of what is expected for these users.Our main goal is to identify appropriate use cases for the different tools and how they relate to our company, do our customer benefit from us using these tools, & ensure we have all appropriate resources / education in place when we roll it out to the rest of the department. I appreciate any insight that you all are able to provide!

What is the best way to remove a survey response from a test participant?

We were testing a new survey and have a response in our flattened survey table from a participant that is marked as a test participant.  This response is not shown in the survey analytics tab where we can delete responses.  Looking for a way to remove this test participant and there response, but can’t find a way to do this.

Pop up on new July 2024 release.

Client requested the ability to turn off the pop up for the new July release.  From the client “So one of the subtle changes in this release was to have "add activity" in Timeline default to an activity type (in our case, Meeting). However, I think this is even worse than before because when you try to change the type, this message always pops up. Super annoying. Can you please have someone turn this off or at least provide the feedback to Product? Makes no sense to have this here.”  is there a way to turn off the pop?

Email Notification Workarounds?

Hello, Gainsight Community --Curious to know how other Gainsight Customer Community folks navigate email notification parameters.This week I learned (from Gainsight directly) that if you do not *view* a topic you are subscribed to, you will not get email notifications. From Gainsight: “Once you are subscribed, you also need to view the topic in Community in order to receive future email notifications.” [bold emphasis mine].Further from Gainsight:NOT subscribed to topic = You do not receive any email notifications about the topic Subscribed to topic AND viewed topic since last email = You will receive another email notification about the topic if/when another reply is posted Subscribed to topic but have NOT viewed topic since last email = You will not receive further email notifications about the topic unless you revisitAs an administrator, I miss out on customer posts that are designed for engagement if I do not view threads I am subscribed to. Best Practices: User-led events

Hi everyone, Does anyone here organize user-led events? My colleague @LauraxEvents and I are currently preparing a pilot for a user-led event series in which our users meeting in different cities on a regular basis. For the first 4 pilots we can work with creating a landing page and start testing small and with the support of our team. Though, we want to grow these kind of formats and already want to look at how we could scale this kind of event format. Our biggest struggle is setting up the local hosts with what they need to involve them fully. Questions: When using Gainsight CC, how is your setup for User-led events?  How much responsibility and transparency can you give to your hosts (technical)? Which tools are you using additionally to Gainsight CC?  Is there an integration to a relevant and great event management tool?   In our dream world: The hosts can create the events on our platform.  Everyone can see who is coming.  The registrants can manage their event participation via t
