It would be helpful to understand what each Standard and System object in Gainsight represents and how it behaves to support documentation, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
On multiple occasions, we have had a need to aggregate rows of data in a data designer or a rule where we wanted to flatten some string data during the aggregation into a single string array. For example: Starting Data: ID Company Order Type ARR 1 Acme Software 100 2 Acme Software 200 3 Acme Support 50 When aggregating data in a transformation group by, it would be nice if you could designate a string field to be Flatten or something like below. Even better would be to have the option to Flatten Distinct also. This way the example below would be “Software, Support”. ID Company Order Type ARR 1 Acme Software, Software, Support 450
Events (Instructor Led Training): The description that comes over from Zoom follows the format, in terms of spacing, into CE. But the display of the text in the academy is just one block of text. It is not easy on the eyes. I would suggest either display as it comes over, or even allow for overriding in CE to customize the text fully. Admin ViewLearner View
Hello Community!I’m you friendly Gainsight Support Agent, submitting this Idea on behalf of a customer: “On [a C360 report section], we enabled the option to add a record which our end users use to add records if needed. The report is based on [an object] which has a field called Details which is a rich text area field. When we try to add a record the add record page opens up, but it gives a very little space to the rich text field (Details) which is causing a lot of inconvenience as the information that needs to be fed here is usually huge.In other scenarios like CTA details or on Success plan we can adjust the spacing for the fields which makes it easier while this is causing a lot of issue. We would like to edit it to make it larger or request a way to let us decide how much space should the add record page layout take as we can do this in other assets.” Currently, the UI used for the QBR Activities report in C360 mirrors the one in MDA Management and has fixed dimensions for Rich Text Area fields. Allow Note Templates to be reportable. I see you are already capturing the number of times it has been used. I want to see more info, like who used it and when. For example, I would like to be able to see which Timeline Entry a Note Template was used on. From there, I should be able to see who used it and when.

This idea originated from @darkknight’s recent idea (Scheduled Reports: Option to suppress send if there is no data):IssueWe have an email that sends to external recipients, containing a couple of reports as well as tokenized information (monthly usage stats). While previewing during the launch test, we realized that we had to include filters in our query to exclude any participants for whom one of the included reports would show that awesome “nothing to see here” visualization, since we don’t have the ability to exclude the report if the underlying data is null for that instance of the report. And we don’t want to duplicate the variants (we already have four) just in cases where those reports are null. (Thanks, no dynamic content.) Bad user experience, getting an email with a blank report.AskIt’d be fantastic if we could toggle whether reports are included in JOs if there is no data to show.
We need to ability to remove badges we no longer use on the system. I have over 40+ badges and when managing my badges I’d like to have fewer active ones vs a bunch that are listed as inactive.
We Germans, and I think most Europeans are the same, don’t use a.m. and p.m. time formats. We more or less know what they mean (something like “7 p.m.” is easy but I personally can’t tell you if 12 p.m. is noon or midnight). But we don’t use a.m. / p.m. “officially”. Every timestamp or every mention of a time on any website or any email is in 24 hour format. So when we (and our users) see the a.m. / p.m. format in the new Events module, we are very irritated. That’s why I propose that every community gets to choose if they want to show the a.m. / p.m. format (Hello USA!) or the 24h format (Hello almost everyone else!). I also propose that every community can set a default time zone - because many countries worldwide only have one and there is no need to set it each time an event is created.
Description: Currently, in Success Plans, users have the ability to filter all columns except the 'Owner' column. Although global filters, search functionality, and reporting options are available, the 'Owner' column does not behave consistently with other columns in terms of filtering capabilities.Current Behavior: The filtering functionality is implemented in Cockpit but not in Success Plans. This inconsistency limits the ability to easily narrow down Success Plans by the 'Owner' directly within the interface.Requested Feature: Implement a filtering option for the 'Owner' column in Success Plans, consistent with the filtering capabilities of other columns. This would enhance usability by allowing users to quickly and efficiently manage and review Success Plans based on the 'Owner' field directly within the Success Plan view.Justification:Improved Usability: Consistent filtering across all columns in Success Plans will streamline the user experience, making it easier to find and manage Success Plans by specific owners. Efficiency: Reduces the need for users to rely on global filters, search, or reports, saving time and effort. Consistency: Aligns Success Plan functionality with Cockpit, ensuring a more uniform experience across the platform.Case: #325341
We are creating different types of Success Plans (Success Plans, Onboarding Plans, etc.) with unique objectives. We need the ability to change the Objective layouts based on the Plan Type. We need to have different fields and information for the different use cases and plans. Currently, if you update the layout for the Objective Type CTA, it changes the layout for all Success Plan Objectives. There are 2 possible solutions: 1. Allow other CTA Types to be associated with Success Plans 2. Make Objectives based on the Success Plan type (Objective - Accout Plan or Objective - Onboarding Plan)
This one was a backfire. The new update from this weekend for C360 to dynamically default to the most common update type is not having the positive response Gainsight probably expected. Anytime any system tries to assume what the user wants to do next, it’s going to frustrate that user when it’s not what they actually wanted to do.I mean, everyone knows what it means to assume, right? 😏Because of this change, now this issue is made worse.I don’t know what GS customer asked for this dynamic assignment of Timeline type, but it’s fine if they want it, but it shouldn’t be forced on every other GS customer. Please turn this off until there is a way for admins to toggle this on/off at the instance level (at a minimum) and users to be able to toggle on/off at the user level.
Hi Team,We have limitation where any editable field that is marked as read only in CTA layouts are not being honored in list view fields of CTA. For example the 'Test Edit' field is not editable within the details page of the CTA and the same field 'Test Edit' is editable in the list view fields of CTA.Can you please make the field 'Test Edit' not editable within the CTA columns?Thank you.
Similar to the Run Date formula, but for the Start Time it was successfully executed last, showing in the end user’s configured Time Zone just as the rest of the DateTime fields work. Besides some specific use cases for rules engine to calculate hours past I see this particularly useful in dataspaces, so the end users can easily know when it was last updated. I find myself replying to the question “has DB XYZ run yet?” or “why is this record missing from the database ABC” almost on a daily basis. I know this is a challenge and there a lot of moving pieces, but having a Created DateTime if needed to at least give our end users (and us Admins) visibility into the age of a record would be very helpful.Thank you,
Running dependency checks in Gainsight goes one of two places (frequently both, to be safe): Data Management or Analyzer. Data Management seems to pick up ALL rules, active or not, in dependency listings. Analyzer seems to show active rules only. While I do appreciate having a place to check inactive Rule dependencies (in the event that I’m trying to deprecate a particular field, those still matter a lot) I’d find it VERY useful to be able to differentiate between the active and inactive dependencies. Ideally, both the dataflow maps in Analyzer and the dependency listings in Data Management should match. Failing that, it would be awesome if the rules listed in Data Management included a Status so I could do my work without sifting through dozens of inactive rules. Case in point: today, I’m updating a field on our Company object and I’d like to know exactly where those impacts might be felt. No problem! I pop on over to Data Management and I find 41 rules listed. Medium problem, but I’ll manage. After checking through all of these, I’ve found that only 1 was active - and it was the rule I’d just written to manage the update. In this example I could’ve saved myself a lot of time if the Rule Status were displayed up front vs me having to dig down in to each to check.
I really would like to see the ability for a member to subscribe to our events calendar/page on community. Subscribed users would receive an email notification if a new event was posted, so we could get the word out more broadly. Right now a member has to be on the home page and happen to see the event widget in order to find out about upcoming events. We don’t have that many events happening that I’m worried about spamming people, but it would also allow us to stop duplicating efforts. Right now, we have teammates posting to a community category about their upcoming office hours (“Events & Office Hours”), plus I’m creating events for the same.
Include a calendar invite in the registration notification. Include a event link in the registration notification Session dates being visible as a calendar, rather than only showing the next item.
Now that Scorecard Widgets aren’t under the same area as regular reports, we seem to have lost the ability to control permissions for reports made in that area. This is not only inconsistent with the other report area of the product, but can pose issues in the context of Gainsight home. Users can customize GS Home with (from what I can tell) whatever reports they have permission to see. Because they have de facto permission to view any report in “Scorecard Widgets” that means users can see any and all of those reports, even if it isn’t appropriate for that user. It also means that if there are outdated versions, or not yet ready versions, those can be accessed as well.
It appears the ability to remove a schedule from a program has also been removed in Dynamic Programs. Can that be added back?
When viewing a Forum it would be nice to be able to ‘single click’ to expand/collapse the post and read all text on the same page vs clicking to fully expand the post on a separate page. Is it at all possible to have a ‘single click’ expand a single post to a full page?
While creating a segment it would be great to have the capability to import a CSV. In addition, the imports & segments should always mention a count of the number of records it has pulled in the segment. This will help validate the segment.
The behaviour of the default activity is different depending from where the activity is being created. If going to C360 → Create →Activity, the 1st choice is set as defaultIf going to C360 → Timeline → Add activity it doesn't It make no sense that they behave differently, especially considering that most of the time end users use the latter.I submitted a support ticket and was told that the PM team confirmed they will be proceeding as an enhancement request and standardize the functionality across Timeline pages for productization. As suggested, here I am submitting the idea.Thank you,
