It would be nice if there was a way to track who created a license and when. We have this available for actual user records, company records, person records, etc., but it would also be great to see exactly when an admin granted a full (or viewer) license to a user.
I recently gave our Sales and Product teams access to Gainsight CS with VIEW_GROUP permissions. I was a bit surprised to find out that I could not configure a basic homescreen dashboard for them to get an overview of the current state of the full customer base (e.g., Scorecard metrics). I think that would be a great addition for this type of users.
Currently the poll feature is only available in new articles/conversations/questions and it is not available when posting a reply in a thread. The need has arose for us that after reading some of the comments on one of our posts we want to run a poll in the same thread but we are unable to select this feature.
Please send more information in the email alerts for Rule / Connector / Data Designer Failure / Partial Failure / Partial Success Notifications. Here is an example of a recent notification we received:Hi ,Your request to run the following Horizon rule partially failed. Results can be downloaded from Rules execution history page. Below is a summary of the rule execution. Rule Name: Admin: Load from GS to SFDC (Site Trials) Execution Type: Scheduled Rule Date: 2024-04-01 Thanks,Gainsight Team We cannot use the Rule Name link because it directs to Gainsight stand-alone and we use Gainsight as a console app in Salesforce. Related topic here. So these are the steps we needed to take to resolve:Open Gainsight NXT in Salesforce Navigate to Rules Search for Rule Open Execution Log Now we know 1 record failed out of 2,900 Download failures Find error message in column within the report (in this case, it was the last column, but I have found it in the middle of the report before)Only now can we start to troubleshoot. Some possible improvements:Gold star: the email would contain an attachment of the downloaded failures, so we can immediately take action. Sharing the scope of the issue - how many success and failures getting a count by error message would be amazing if we need to get aggregated info The top most common error message in the failure would tell us which system to review
When an email template is attached to a CTA Email Task, users can edit the text of the email, but they cannot change the layout format. This severely limits the ability for users to customize templates where appropriate.Example:I have an email template that contains standard sections/data points, but needs to give the user the option to include additional metrics that are specific to their particular customer. In this scenario, if the CSM doesn’t have exactly 3 additional metrics to include, they do not have the ability to delete the 3rd row of boxes. If I remove that 3rd row of boxes from the template, they also do not have the ability to copy/paste/create more. It appears they can somewhat do this in Gainsight Assist (it’s very tricky) however this defeats the purpose of tying to a CTA so we can specifically report on this email being sent or not.
We have a request from our CSM.It would be great if the display of the CTA list on the home screen could be changed to a Gantt chart view, similar to the Gantt chart view of CTAs in the Success Plan.
Are there any plans to add Timeline entries right to a goal, like one would do with a CTA or Success plan?Right now, the only way I see to leverage timeline with a Goal is to associate a Goal to a CTA/Success plan, and that doesn’t necessarily give you a central view of what activities were for a specific goal, especially if it spans multiple CTAs/SPs. Additionally, the ability for Viewer users to leverage Goals is great, as that can help break down silos between Sales<>CS which could be a major win. However, those Viewers don’t really have a way to collaborate on a goal in any way because 1) There’s no Timeline on the goals specifically 2) If there was they wouldn’t have access and 3) there also isn’t a comment feature which Viewers DO have access to.Because of this, it seems like there’s some limitation on how much can be collaborated on, outside of just adding another textbox for Sales to fill in. What I’m after here, is a meaningful way for teams to collaborate across a specific goal, agnostic of what CTA/SP may or may not be associated with that goal. I mostly give Timeline and Comments as suggestions as they don’t really re-invent the wheel feature wise.
We are recreating our business review program by moving away from individual CTAs and instead having CSMs use a lifecycle Success Plan to accomplish all tasks within the year. Luckily Gainsight has come right on time with Customer Goals. However, while trying to test out how this would work for our team we noticed that to associate a goal you cannot choose an objective, only a CTA or Success plan. Having the objective associated with the goal would make it easier to track when there are multiple goals created in a single success plan. The progress would match up with the goals instead of seeing “1 of 5” you would see the appropriate % to the closed tasks.
Currently Gainsight notifications sent to email contain links that are to the direct Gainsight system. However, we use Gainsight within Salesforce lightening, so these links do not work for our end users. Please allow Notifications to be sent with Salesforce links.
For Customer Cheat Sheet, I want to see the data update regularly and automatically versus the current “click Refresh to pull an update” configuration.I do appreciate that Cheat Sheet informs me of its age, its current date range, and can be refreshed on-demand. However, the refresh takes several minutes, and most CSMs and Gainsight users won’t wait many minutes for a refresh, especially many minutes times many customers. The ability to ensure Customer Cheat Sheet refreshes regularly, automatically and on a “push” basis would increase the impact of the feature and its use to surface the most important customer information.
Please change the "Do you want Gainsight to remember the modifications you made to the dashboard?" prompt that shows every time you change a Dashboard Filter to be a BUTTON to "Save Current Filter Settings".The Existing Prompt gets in the way EVERY TIME it comes up and covers up the “Dashboard Picker” to go to a different dashboard. (See Screen shot) Very rarely do I ACTUALLY want to save my filter config, and if I do, I could easily click on a button next to the filter option when needed. I have had numerous complaints about this from my end users and fellow admins alike.
We have lots of MDA subject areas (and rules!). We go to Data Management and dependencies section to see what rules are related to our specific objects. I'd love to be able to see in the dependency section of Data Management if the rule is active or inactive Thank you!
Our CSEs have requested the ability to see the sentiment of a Timeline entry from the Timeline view without expanding / opening each individual timeline entry. This would help them more easily identify those Red / Yellow timeline entries without each of them needing to create a custom view. To take it a step further I think it would be beneficial to give the admins the ability to control what fields are initially viewable from Timeline similar to the Person object where we can chose the list view, details view, etc..
Under Rules Engine/Rules List - Add "Rule Chain" as an option to choose when under Search in order to Display, Rule Chain in results. It will save users a lot of time to be able to Search by "Rule Chain" within Rules List and not need to go to Rules Engine/Rule Chain to verify which Rules are associated to which Rule Chains.Thank you,Di
Using Outlook on Windows 11, specifically in scheduled reports, the center graphic is comically large and results in our end users complaining about the excessive scrolling. (Having talked with other GS admins using Gmail, the graphic is not as large). Please scale this image better for Outlook users.
Per current functionality, the data found in the “Gainsight Data Points” field is displayed as a text field that can be edited when creating an Enhancement Request for a given Company/Relationship. We have received customer feedback that the purpose of including this field is to be informative for the Product Team, and therefore the creator of the Enhancement Request should not possess the ability to edit the details found in this field. For this usecase, it would be beneficial to include an editability toggle for this field within the Enhancement Request Configuration Admin UI to remove the creator’s ability to edit this data prior to the creation of the Enhancement Request.
As an Admin, I want to be able to sort the columns in my reports based on the needs of our end users. The reports are limited to sorting only the first column of the report, which requires that I use the (sort by) field in the first column. Additionally, I want to determine as the report builder if the fields values should be sorted by ascending or descending order. This seems like a basic functionality in any sort of reporting that I'm surprised is not included in Gainsight!
Hello Team. I have a community where we keep member information very basic as to protect our members as much as possible. I would like however to be able to expose certain profile fields like Company, Country and CSM to our employee custom role. So when they are helping the member, they can check the profile page to learn who they are working with. This helps with tracking similar cases in support as well as keeping the right team aware of new requests. This could be as simple as adding a dropdown to each profile field with what custom role can view the field.
Right now the only way to get a file with records in a segment is to sync it to a program and then export it there. It would be great if we could export the records returned directly from segments without having to do that to save time if the records need to be reviewed.
The email comm for CSQLs is great! It would be even better if the email comm addresses the Lead Owner, instead of the contact who created the lead. For example, in the email comm under the image, in the heading, it says “Lead Owner A lead has been identified for Company Name”, instead of “Person Who Created Lead A lead has been identified for Company Name”Or, if there was an ability to edit the email comm. Thanks!
This might be a bit early since its not yet supported in the UI to customise much by role except visibility of categories, but still feels like a great tool avoiding the need for having numerous test accounts and browsers/ incognito tabs open.My mock-up for the feature:
When ever we receive emails from Gainsight for any task/CTA assigned can we have the ability to include Company name as well. For example:If the CTA/Task is created for Relationship then only the CTA name and Relationship name is displayed but not Company name.
If you ever had a profile with us, there's no need to create another one.
