Gainsight AI (ex: AI Cheat Sheet) can summarize useful customer context (timeline highlights, NPS/CSAT, open cases, key activities, etc.), but CTAs and Playbooks don’t currently have a way to pull this information in. In practice, that adds admin time and increases the chance that the CTA is completed without the right prep.Feature requestEnable CTAs and Playbooks to reference and display an AI-generated summary inside: CTA description/body Playbook step text (Optional) a “Context” panel on the CTA itself Ideally this would be a dynamic token/field, for example: {{AI_CHEAT_SHEET_SUMMARY}} Or a configurable “Insert AI Summary” option that injects the latest summary at CTA creation time, and optionally refreshes on open. Why it matters / Impact Reduces “research time” per CTA (especially exception-based CTAs like cadence calls, renewals, risk follow-ups) Improves quality and consistency of outreach because the relevant context is right in front of the CSM Less CTA fatigue and fewer missed details
We have a need to collaborate on Success Plans were multiple users are completing work and want visibility into the progress against CTAs and Timeline Activities. Those Timeline Activities should be visible on multiple Relationships / Companies, but according to ticket 308212, if a Timeline activity is created on the Success Plan, it can only be associated to CTAs by design. Please address this product gap.
Hi all,In multi currency tenants with custom objects, when we add a record, we have the ability to pick the currency. By default, the currency in the dropdown is the corporate currency. In our case, USD. Currency fields in the add record screen get a (USD) appended to the field label, per the below. When we change the currency to something else so it matches what the record currency should be, this is what happens: The Currency field ‘Delivered Amount’ still displays (USD) between brackets even though we picked ZAR as the currency. This is causing confusion among our users who are wondering what they need to enter in that field as this choice of field label clearly suggests they should enter the USD amount. This is BAD UX. When we look at our record though, we recorded 50000 ZAR without problem by entering “50000” in the ‘Delivered Amount (USD)’ field. This needs to be reconsidered. Thanks
Hi there! This is a request coming in from the CS team here: I'm wondering if there is a way to add a task to an account directly without having to log an activity. Currently, the only way I know of you add a task is by: Add Activity Button Requires you either add or edit an existing activity and then use the "Add Task" button at the bottom of the screen. Add a CTA and then add tasks. Is there a world where the "Create" button could include "Add Task"? Our team uses Gainsight as their daily task list, and this would help them stack rank relevant pieces and build tasks out to work on!
Hi!I’m quite certain I recall a time when in-line reports featuring currency fields in multi-currency tenants displayed the data both in the record currency and a conversion to the corporate currency or user currency between brackets (as is the case in R360, and apparently in renewal center). Maybe I don’t recall right, but it appears that’s been on the roadmap for a while… 4 years and counting! Not sure why or when the decision to remove this was made, but the current design is at best inconsistent, but most probably unhelpful as it now ONLY displays record level currency. What’s needed:Flat reports: record currency (corporate currency (or user preferred currency if selected)) R360/C360: record currency (corporate currency (or user preferred currency if selected)) Aggregated reports: corporate currency (or user preferred currency if selected))360Flat ReportsLet’s be consistent! Thanks
Within Data Management currently, we have the ability to check field dependencies & identify where a specific field (i.e. ARR on Company) is in use. While valuable, there are instances where having field value dependency tracking would be valuable - especially in larger or more complex instances - for seeing where a specific value is being used as a filter. Unfortunately, this is not currently available in the UI and requires a custom request to the Data Operations team to accomplish. An example use case: When going through resegmentation efforts on the Salesforce side, we need to ensure that a Segment/Region field is updated with new values and remapped. These fields are used in numerous assets (100+ reports, dozens of rules, etc.) but the specific values that are being updated may not be used as filters in them. Without having this next level drill down, it leads to manual admin work to dig through each asset and identify if it needs revisions.Would love to see this addressed in a future release to improve scalability & ease of managing these sorts of changes.
I ahve 5 possible multi-select options. I created a rule with 5 actions to upsert the row with each of the otpions when applicable. When the Rule runs, it is replacing the multi-select with a single option instead of adding each values to it. This means, to have all combinations of possibilities, I would need to write 31 case statements and have 31 actions for each of the possible sets of multi-select options. This only gets exponentially larger if more options are available in the multi-select picklist options. Single Selects (5): Each option on its own. Pairs (10): Combinations of any 2 Trios (10): Combinations of any 3. Quartets (5): Combinations of any 4. The Full House (1): All 5 selected at once.
I just learned that to have a source o data that includes Timeline with a mix of direct and Associated Records, merged with the Attendee Activity Relationship Person information, I need to created 2 merges and a Union instead of just merging the 2 objects. Please update the Attendee Activity object so the Relationship / Company includes Associated Records and can be merged in a single step.
Hi allIn custom objects that we use for manual entry (batch type entry), we need to be able to set the currency ISO code of the record by ourselves.Use case is:Team tracks the PS batches they’re working on with providers, providers invoice in a given currency The record relating to that PS batch is created manually, the individual inputs who the service provider is, and consequently what the currency should be. They are then able to input the amount relating to that batch. If a mistake is made, we need to modify the currency ISO code. There’s no importing data from elsewhere. It’s manual entry. We consequently need to be able to set the currency on that record manually as the currency depends on the service provider delivering the batch. The setup I’ve inherited has number fields for the local currency and USD currency but unlinked to the currency ISO code of the record so I need to be able to modify the currency code on those records which were created prior to multi currency. Please make it happen. Not everything is a sync from elsewhere… Thanks.
Please make data management dropdowns “mappable” from survey questions. Most often when you run a survey, you want to populate another Gainsight object which, in case of dropdowns, already have a set list of options to pick from. It would be extremely helpful for surveys questions (multiple select) to be able to fetch from data management dropdowns. That would save time building survey options AND reduce the risk of inconsistencies between survey question and data points in the Gainsight object we seek to populate, and the need to transform data with rules before being able to push it to the target object.
I’ve sent emails on accident where the subject line is null, would be great if subject line is a required field.
Use Case:A CSM wants to create the same CTA for every account over $$ ARR in the state of Michigan with the parent account of A, B, or C. The ability to select from a list of accounts and create a set of CTAs all at once.
As a user, I want a finer level of detail for my audience dashboard, with the addition of filtering based on user roles, and time in the community. This way I can better understand the evolution of the different types of users of the community and their level of engagement over time.I want to be able to single out one type of user in the dashboard, but also have the registered users part of the stacked bar chart split between the different types of users.
It would be very useful if there were an “All Time” default to choose when selecting the date range for analytics dashboards. Current choices are:Today Yesterday Last 7 days Last 30 days Last week Last month Last 3 months Custom RangeTo review all time stats we currently have to use the custom range option and scroll all the way back to our community start date. Which, as our community ages, gets more and more inconvenient :)
Suggestion: In Analytics > Content, the end-user is able to filter by one or multiple Public Tags. This will update the all graphs, tables, and sections in the page according to the filters. Why would this be helpful? If the organization is utilizing Public Tags as a manner to organize their content. They can have access to insights on the performance of specific content. If customers are creating Public Tags. The organization can use this to better understand which topics are of interest to their customers. It keeps end-users on inSided; end-user does not have to export and spend time formatting the data elsewhere. It surfaces data inSided already has and presents it in a different format A note on existing functionality: You can go to Settings > Public Tags to see how many times a tag has been used, but you can’t jump in to see the posts which are using the tag. You can also manipulate the Topics export to get this information and replicate the graphs and lists (takes time). You can go to Content > Overview and filter by Public Tags and then open individual posts to know how many views the post has. However, if the below idea was delivered, then you could go to Content > Overview and then filter by Public Tags and then add Likes, Replies, and Views to your columns.
We use custom roles mainly to segment our users. It helps me search the user list, and change ranks and permissions in some cases, but I also sometimes use them as labels, with exactly the same permissions as a regular user. I can see much more potential for this feature when it’s used this way, especially for automation and reporting.Custom roles for reporting. Exported user reports don’t separate custom roles from other roles, so I can’t sort a spreadsheet by custom role without a lot of other manual work ahead of time to ignore the other roles. I added a custom profile field (user type) for this sorting reason, but it’s essentially a duplicate of the custom roles, which I use in some cases for rank change and some permissions. Custom roles in analytics dashboards. I would love to have custom role stats included in my dashboard, so I can see how many users of each type are joining, active, etc. Right now I do this manually (as discussed above). Custom role as trigger for automated actions. For example, I want to automate welcome emails per user type (ie, per custom role) which isn’t possible at the moment.
End users are unable to re-size images in the cockpit using email assist. It seems all images are formatted for the full width of the email, which makes things like a small logo or header huge, and there is no ability to shrink the images. The only work-around we have found is to create blank email templates with the correctly formatted images instead of having end user select Add Email from the CTA.Can the ability to click and drag to re-size images be available to the end user access of cockpit email assist?
We have 6 multi-select picklist fields we are currently using to track feature limitations that are blocking our customers from moving to the next generation of our product. These fields represent 6 main product lines and have anywhere from 3-16 feature options each. I have a few requests from our team to report on these items in the following formats... 1. A pie or bar chart showing the total number of accounts that have each feature selected 2. Report of the top 5 features across all 6 product lines The issues I'm running into are 1. These are 6 different fields and 2. Gainsight doesn't allow us to group by or aggregate multi-select fields. The only reporting option I've been able to come up with is just adding all 6 fields in the 'show me' section of a report along with Account Name and enabling row grouping by account. The only way I see today to show a count by feature is to filter by an individual feature and create a widget for each one....which isn't really an option because there are too many to even put them all on one dashboard. Other thoughts/ideas to better report on these fields? I'm open to creating new fields/formats if needed, I just don't want to go to all that work for an experiment that may or may not give me what I need. Also, any info from Gainsight as to WHY we don't have more options to maniputale and report on multi-select fields?
I was excited for Group Send in order to allow my pooled CSM user team to use it due to it being a simplified user interface from JO. Cue my disappointment when I realized it only works for users who are directly mapped to a Company or Relationship and to the Gainsight Home layout filter. 😖I should be able to map a User Group to Company/Relationship, then to Gainsight Home filter and allow any User in that User Group pool the ability to use Group Send across any account to which they are mapped.Alternatively, if I could filter Gainsight Home for a specific segment/tier of customers, and allow any CSM in a particular CSM User Group the ability to use Group Send across companies/relationships in that segment/tier only, that may be even betterWhile I’m sure this feature can be useful for users in a 1:1 relationship with their customers, I feel it would be even more valuable on scaled/pool teams.
Gainsight needs custom Task Types so admins can control which fields and statuses appear for different kinds of work, ensuring cleaner data, consistent processes, and easier CSM adoption—just like CTA Types already allow. Different workflows (Lifecycle, Risk, Renewal, Onboarding, Internal Ops) require different fields. Right now, every task shows all fields and all statuses for every user, regardless of context. As more teams get moved into Gainsight, the needs and use cases widen, but this is a limiting factor and results in users seeing irrelevant fields and status options, which leads to:inconsistent data entry incorrect statuses being selected tasks that don’t follow the intended playbookBecause fields cannot be restricted by task category:admins can't enforce required fields for certain workflows reporting becomes unreliable since users skip fields that aren’t relevant compliance-focused processes (risk, escalations) lack enforceable structureThis was called out 5 years ago in a post that was more general and grouped multiple asks together, so carving this out into its own post.
Today, you can click through to individual CTAs in a report & Copilot, but not Tasks. Users have to click the CTA, open the Task tab and then click the individual task they want to view, which increases the effort and clicks to get there. Additionally, today we can form URLs directly to entities like CTAs, Success Plans, C360, etc which we use to generate links in comments via rules, but we cannot for Tasks.Allowing direct hyperlinks to a Task—just like they already can for CTAs—creates three clear benefits:• Faster actionability: Users can jump straight into the exact task they need to update, which reduces clicks and speeds up task completion.• Better data accuracy: Direct access makes it far more likely users update the correct task, improving status accuracy and field completeness.• More usable dashboards: Reports that surface tasks (overdue tasks, blocked tasks, onboarding steps, risk tasks, etc.) become truly interactive, not just informational lists. Today in the Cockpit, if you have a Task view, you can click an “Open” button next to the Task name to directly open a Task in the CTA Details view. This needs to be emulated directly from within Reports and rules.
In email template configuration, there should be an OOTB way to configure the preheader (AKA “Johnson box”) section of an email. Gainsight strips this ability if you add it yourself via HTML, so we have no way to configure a preheader.
In the old interface, admins could create a new reporting category from Administration → Calls to Action (CTAs) → “Reporting Categories” button. Since the move to and revamp of Administration → Cockpit, we can only create a new reporting category when create a new CTA type. This limits admins from being able to properly retroactively categorize CTAs for reporting should something business critical change. This idea is a request to reinstate previously existing functionality. It is raised as a follow-up to this question where @nuts asked how to add a new category.
