Hi! I’m looking for help with my JSON on a Success Plan Creation API external action. I am attempting to create a Success Plan that is linked to a Relationship and where I populate a lookup field to a custom object. I am receiving an error attempting to create that says, “Please enter valid JSON and char limit should not exceed 10,000.” I know I have not exceeded the char limit. I copied/pasted the original JSON template from the Support website, made edits in Notepad++, and then copied/pasted back into the Payload for an external action. Hi everyone,Another small announcement from us to share that, following our recent update to the Quick Links widget, on Thursday 31st May we will also be updating the Featured Topics and the Dynamic Content Widget to allow you to configure the number of cards per row. When we make improvements to our front-end widgets there is a chance of interaction with custom CSS.  So if you see something strange related to those widgets, we recommend first commenting-out any custom CSS you have applied to these widgets.

While it’s important for users to be able to opt out of e-mail campaigns, currently as admins for PX there isn’t an option to control or manage the opt-out options. Our company sends marketing, operational, and non operational e-mails to our customers. While we understand some customers may want to opt out of certain communication types, if we’re sending out operational e-mails, it would be great for admins to have some control over these groupings so that if a user opts out of marketing e-mails for example, they can still receive operational e-mails.

If a user doesn’t finish a guide (let’s say they close/refresh their browser, or their session times out before they complete the guide), would they re-qualify for that same guide? Or does the fact that they started it mean that they wouldn’t qualify for it again?If they do re-qualify, would the pick back up at the same step where they left off, or would they start back on Step 1?

Hey folks, identify id based question:One product tag user X can access multiple tenants on the same account.Ideal scenario: looking for a user (aptrinsic id) per tenant, even if their user id is the same. If we set user.identify id as a user identifier that stays constant across tenants, and account.id as the tenant the user is currently accessing, will this create 1 or 2 users (aptrinsic ids) in PX? If not, we would need to look at setting the user.identify id as tenant-specific, and passing the constant user identifier (SFDC Contact Id) into a custom user attribute.

Is it possible to disable the NXT-direct login path for all users so that they are forced to login through Salesforce?

Has anyone found a way to report on if an objective is created and the “Associated Person” field is not filled out by an end user? Here is what we have identified… Cockpit Associated Records Object in Gainsight shows us Associated Persons that have been logged by end users.  Scorecard shows us what accounts have and do not have an associated person. However, the limitation is that it is picking up all accounts regardless of if they have an associated person or not? How have people found a way to monitor compliance of the field since it appears to not be easy to report off of and you can’t make it a required field?

Had a question on what the best practice would be for a survey we’re using to get feedback on CE courses. What would be the benefit of marking this question as a CSAT vs using Radio type? 

Is there a way to create a field on a data table, that will calculate the difference between today and a date in a field? Our use case is, we have an activity done by a CSM and we capture that date. What I would like is a field that then shows, “It’s been X days since that activity was done. This can be done with a rule, but I’d like not to have to use a rule. I was sure there was a way to create a formula field on a data object but for the life of me I can’t remember how...or I am crazy and there isn’t a way to do this without a rule. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello fellow Gainsighters (if that’s even the right word)! I’m having trouble with an ask that I thought should be easy… How can I show nulls in a report from the Scorecard? We have a report that shows customers who have a Red/Yellow/Green score but there is no way (at least that I’ve found) that I can include customers with a null value. Including the nulls allows us to know which customers have yet to have a sentiment score logged by a CSM or have yet to complete a survey so it would be incredibly helpful to see this in one pie chart or report. Currently we’re having to do a pie chart for those with a sentiment and a separate report entirely for those that are null/missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Does anyone know the best means to filter community categories from the Moderator when posting articles to prevent posting to non-desired communities? 

Hi!We have an old community and we’ve ended up having quite a few custom roles. Now we want to delete custom roles that are no longer in use. however we are unable to delete these user roles as there still are tens and tens of users that have these roles. I understand we need to remove these custom roles from these users before we can delete the custom roles.Is there an easy way of removing a custom role from all the users that have this custom role? Using the API is not an option for us at this point :)

The Unified Scorecard Fact objects can be very useful in reporting, but they take some time to get familiar with when you’re starting out. I’ve pulled together some of the important things to know when building a report with this data. Hello!What is the status of creating events for hidden groups?  According to this info, the event creation for hidden groups is in voting stage.But the UI text in Control (in my staging community where I have activated the Early access to Events improvements and Events Overview pagination sliders under Open betas) says, “…..private and hidden group events are only visible to members”:So, it’s going to be ….implemented? 🙂 I wanted to explore event creation for hidden groups in staging, but I cannot select anything in Choose group (there are 2 hidden groups in my staging community and no private groups ). Hey there, My team and I are wanting to know how often you change out your community content on the home page? (featured topics, trending topics, webinars, events, etc..)1 week? 2 weeks? Months?We have a lot of content that we want to show and share. But want to make sure we leave it up long enough for community members to see. 

We have a scorecard widget report that we show on a dashboard. In this widget, we have several fields which show on the report just fine but they show as N/A if thy are downloaded into a csv.These fields are all from joined/lookup objects. Is this expected? Can we have it not do this? Do we need to rebuild this report as a regular report rather than a scorecard widget (would that help)? Other thoughts? Thank you

Can we update a dropdown list field in a success plan via rules engine?Asking because all the  dropdown list fields are pointing towards to custom fields values in rules engine(action) instead of  "map to field"

I've had some problems setting up event times as we have people in different time zones. It seems confusing to me and when configured for some the date and time display appear incorrect, could this be related to the timezone of the user's browser? How does this work?Don't we have the option of standardized times like EST, BRT, CST, etc.?

What Metrics Do You Track?Each of us might be focusing on different numbers and metrics in our learning programs, from learner engagement to content effectiveness. This probably depends on your program too (since no two academies are alike❄️); you may have a course heavy program, or all learning paths, you may track individual learner progress, or by group segment (for example: customer-specific groups or persona groups). So I’m curious if you have an answer to one, some, or all of the below:What specific metrics do you track to gauge the success of your customer education program?  Are these metrics available in Gainsight CE’s analytics dashboards? If so, which dashboards do you use most often?
