As we have more departments adopting to Gainsight tool, we have a need to have certain status values needed on certain CTA types, not all (global). There is no way to do this without creating a new status for each of the CTA types that need this status. We have set up rules and bots reading off status values and this makes it difficult to have more multiple values instead of one. I mean, how many creative ways can you say “call scheduled”?
When adding a related list to the C360 section you currently have the ability to 'Add' a record. When this section (report) is created on an object with 'Record Types' you need 'View all data' permissions for the individual users to be able to add a record. If this section is created on an object without 'Record Types' associated with the object you do not need this permission set, and can create records with no problems. Since some companies will not allow for admins to have this permission, we need the ability to hide the "ADD" button to the section so users aren't clicking it and running into an error message.
We have several fields that we want to populate to the SP layout using the Rules Engine, and it appears that I can only do so if I mark them as Editable on the plan layout. Ideally, I’d like to make them read only since they are fields that we’re pulling over from SFDC, so shouldn’t be editable in Gainsight. Our use case:We want to display some key fields from the opportunity in SFDC that were filled out by the AE for the CSM on our Onboarding Success Plan, but we don’t want the fields to be edited in Gainsight. I have to make them editable to get them to appear in the Horizon Rule Success Plan action.
Shame edit: You can edit operators, you just don’t have the same option to do so in GS Home as you do in Dashboards which clearly bamboozled at least one person 🙄 VS For simple modifications though it would be nice to do this ‘in-line’ and more consistent with Dashboards so every similar function isn’t subtly different everywhere you look.OP:I’m normally on team “end-user guardrails” but in this case I’m not sure I see why the bumpers are on.In Gainsight home, once a global filter has been made, that operator is locked in. Cannot be changed by the end user.A simple illustration of the issue is including a Renewal Date filter so CSMs can focus on actions related to upcoming renewals. What if you set it to ‘=’ but they want to look at <, <=, < etc? The “Next N time_unit” doesn’t always solve the problem. Aside from that, end-users are used to being able to change operators in Dashboards.
Hi, We are currently evaluating a new capability for timeline, which will automatically capture summary from meetings you have with customers on GoToMeeting, Zoom, Bluejeans, Google Meet and other conference providers. This is how it would work. You invite bot@gainsight.com to your calendar invite. The bot dials in like an attendee. You then have 2 options: 1) The meeting highlights are automatically logged into Gainsight and show up in the timeline/360 view. This includes activity date, subject, who attended, how long did the customer speaker, and important keywords or topics mentioned (you can configure these). You can optionally configure Gainsight to record the conversation and include a link to the conversation. 2) During the meeting, go to the timeline view and add an activity. Gainsight will recognize there is an ongoing meeting, and pre-populate various fields. While typing notes, you can then press hotkeys like ‘/t’ to insert the transcription of the preceding 30 seconds or image of the slide being presented. If you have configured Gainsight to record the meeting, notes can be timestamped. This is not a functionality that exists today. We'd love to get feedback from the community on whether this functionality is valuable, and if so, would you be interested in any modification. Thanks, Nitisha
The Rules engine should be updated or modified to support writing data to Salesforce's Multi-select picklists. Gainsight's own native field, the Tag field on Customer Info, cannot be written to correctly with the Rules Engine, because the engine overwrites existing values instead of appending new values. Merged Ideas:by will_watkinsonSometimes automation, or dataloading is used to insert values into picklist fields that do not exist in the picklist field. It would be useful to have the ability to monitor for and insert values into picklist fields that do not exit there by adding the option to write in when reading from, or writing to a picklist instead of just being able to select one of the available picklist options. by kevin_lyThere are quite a few customers that have talked about using the multi-select picklist, but was stopped short by it's limited behavior. It gets treated like a single value picklist when any rules attempt to set it.Also, you are unable to clear or append to it properly.A use case here, a customer has multiple line items of enabled products, I would like to set the Multi Picklist to say that this customer has these products enabled. Also once one product goes inactive I would like to refresh it with current multi select values. Rules doesn't handle this use case really well with current multi-picklist functionality.Sure you can use checkboxes, but it gets really messy and not in a neat package. Also Customer tags can't be deleted once added via rules.

Today, when you make a new status for a Success Plan, it has to map to one of three existing Reporting Categories: Active, Draft, Closed. We are adding an “On Hold” status, but would prefer for it to have its own reporting category as it doesn’t neatly fit into any of those. The Success Plan Reporting categories for “Status” appear immutable, and we would like to be able to make our own to fit our reporting needs.
Currently on a dashboard you have to update each filter individually (for example, from Last 7 Days to Last 30 Days). It would be useful to have a “Global Filter” that can update all relevant reports at once.
Are there plans to allow for loading non-NPS survey data into Gainsight? I'm working with a customer that's successfully loading NPS but is very interested getting non-NPS information in Gainsight as well. Although loading to the MDA would allow for some reporting, that approach doesn't allow you to take advantage of any of the existing Survey capabilities so it's very limited in usefulness. Thank you!
Oof...what is with the pastel color palette for CTAs in NXT? It doesn’t match the rest of Gainsight - and we don’t have control over changing this. Admins should be able to define the color palette used across the product.
As we all know that, with one of our latest releases, We now have the option for KC bot analytics. We can see how many users/accounts viewed the particular Article or Engagement of the KC bot. But the only thing we don’t have is the option to drill down to Account or User level, to see who are all viewed the particular Article/Engagement. It would be really awesome if we can have the option to Drill down to User/Account level in the Knowledge centre Bot Analytics. Thanks, Shireesha.
With the Current design of PX, We can only export the Data of the Individual Engagements. There is no option if we want to Export the complete data. Like the below image, It would be awesome if we are able to export the data in the above image.
Posting on behalf of a couple customers… It would be great if one could filter out (exclude) specific features or modules from the Path Analyzer report to make it easier to use and provide better insights. Use cases: #1 - We have a large number of custom events that are mapped that are rendering in the Path Analyzer report that I’d like to exclude, but once selected I cannot see a way that would logically exclude the module or feature itself. #2 - In our case, we have plenty of Custom Events triggering with dozens of attributes and I have to create Features from these attributes so that I can keep track of our feature adoption (our app features are tracked as a Custom Event attributes) in the Analytics → Features → Adoption module. But if I create a lot of Features in the PX then I’ll clutter the Path Analyzer and won’t see clearly what’s the exact path of our users through the app. Not all features are equally important that I want them to see in the Path Analyzer, however, they are important enough to track them from time to time.I’m having a feeling that I have to sacrifice one to get the other and I don’t like it. Here is a link to the PX Community post that started this feature request. cc: @cjacksonfe @bostojic
Recently we started playing with the ‘UTM Parameters’ feature in the PX which is described in the docs and here on the community forum in one post. What we’ve soon realised is that there isn’t a way to easily drill down inside of the parameters (source, medium, campaign, etc) and check what is the most frequently ‘used’ parameter by our users.Potentially good place to add it, in my opinion, would be in the analytics under a query builder or as a completely separate tool as Funnel, Path Analyzer etc. It could also be added as a new widget in the dashboard which would lead to this new tool.Second idea for improvement isn’t so much about the classifying ‘incoming’ UTM parameters, but the ‘outgoing’ ones. It would be really useful if you would automatically add predefined UTMs to all of our URL links that we’re adding in the Engagements. That way we’d always know who came to our website by clicking on some URL link in Gainsight’s engagements. Currently, we’re forgetting to add UTM’s in majority of cases. Here’s an example of Eloqua’s functionality.
Hi Team,I’m writing on behalf of the @rahul.talreja regarding the actual Time frame considered by the ‘Anytime’ date range filter which was mistaken to be a Discrepancy. The “Anytime” Date range only pulls the last 6 months of Data and this is not mentioned anywhere in the Documentation. While adding it to the Documentation, it would be very helpful if there’s a quick tool-tip that would inform the Users of this limitation to avoid any confusion about this in future.Refer to the video here for a clear understanding: https://share.zight.com/kpuRdL52 Regards,Pravalika
Basically what the title says. I don’t see a way to rename the “Company” and “Relationship” tabs on the “My Portfolio” widget that GS Home introduced.Company and Relationship are very Gainsight MDA specific names and might not really make sense or matter to the CSMs and other end users of the platform. We would like to be able to rename these tabs so they make more sense to our users, in addition to being able to rename the widget itself which we can do today.
With this being planned: Something that I think would be helpful is breadcrumb navigation in Gainsight. If you’ve opened a new tab great, you can just close the tab or switch to the previous one.It can be super helpful though, to more easily traverse the path you took somewhere if you have that trail. You can often get back to Company or Relationship by finding the right thing to click, but bread crumbing is pretty standard across the web, and could be really helpful.Probably more so for admins who probably more so for admins who get buried in sub menus like this:but instead of clicking “General” to go to that tab, have to go back to the main menu panel and find it.
I saw this 5 year old request but didn’t think it really captured what I’m after here. What I would like is actually fairly similar to this request, except instead of a summary widget limited to Gainsight home, it would be a capability for tabular reports. What is the ask? The ability to link one or more columns to another report, or a similar functionality that Scorecard Widget reports have for manual measures - you can mouseover to see some additional details or click on it and get a list of timeline entries, then close it and go back to your report when you’re done without “losing your place”. Think about a tabular report on Company that has some KPIs like CSAT, NPS, Open SSPs, Open Risk CTAs, etc.Summary widget with these attributes gives you a look at your portfolio with respect to these metrics, but you currently have to find some other report to find out which customers have which metrics, go into each metric separately and don’t have a view for a single customer on these metrics without going to the C360. Why would this be beneficial? In the scenario where you have this capability, you can view your portfolio at a customer level (similar use case to the My Portfolio report) but this would allow you to, from that same report, drill into a specific KPI for a given customer and view the details of what drove that result without having to bop around to another report. This will likely not be easy to implement, and there’s a question of how to reconcile a KPI loaded via a rule not in real time to real-time data from a report, but this is an idea to share the use case.
Hey!I was creating a Real Time Rule Engine, with a date filter, but noticed that it doesn't have the "Next N Days" date filter. In other parts of Gainsight, like Horizon Rules and Reports this is available.I was advised to submit this post as an enhancement request, so not only for this example, I’d like to ask if it would be possible to make all filtering options uniform across Gainsight in main features like Data Designer, Horizon Rules, Real Time Rules, Reports, Mass Edit, Journey Orchestrator (Programs). It causes some issue as sometimes I cannot replicate exact filters across them when needed and can make maintenance a bit difficult. Thanks!
Within the Horizon rules, when filtering we often calculate period calculations based off of a date. For example, if we wanted to see total transaction amounts within the past 2 year periods (today - 12 months VS. 12 months - 24 months) we often use the Last/Next N Days filter. However, Horizon limits the number of days for both next and last to 365 days, so doing the calculation above is not possible. Additionally, we would not want to use the last N months/years as days is a lot more precise. Would it be possible to expand the N Days criteria to greater than 365 days?
