While there is a ‘Recently Deleted’ option in both dashboard builder & report builder, plus Recycle Bin for CTA & Timeline entries, we still are missing one for both Rules Engine & Data Designs and it would be great to see this added. While these items are obviously less likely to see a removal than an individual report, there are definitely times where I’m cleaning up some old test Data Designs only to find out that one is still needed for a random reporting need. Having the ability to fetch it myself without rebuilding or contact Support would be a great QoL improvement.
Hi,GS is opening a new tab if you click on things. The issue is, if you do not close the tab, you end up with so many tabs, that it will slow down your laptop.I suggest to add an option in the user profile, so the user can decide either to open an new tab or show the information in the same tab.By this the current behavior can remain for those that like it, and the others can change it. Thanks!
@ssamarth – can you confirm whether this is feasible, and if not, could it be considered for the roadmap?Ask 1Admins should be able to set pre-defined people lists (both static and dynamic) to be pushed out to all accounts, similar to how the Gainsight Home is rolled out.Examples include:Dynamic lists: Admin users Power users All active users Company champion(s) Static lists: Opportunity owner(s) Renewal/purchase contact(s) Key contact(s) Account teams shouldn’t need to configure dynamic lists that are based on a query (ex: admin, recent login, user roles, etc.) – and as to static lists, account teams should be able to easily specify different contacts who need to be contacted for different purposes. Ask 2People lists should be accessible in JO/DD for reporting and emails. Our team runs into a lot of targeting issues for scaled account maintenance communications (renewal flows, notices, etc.) as we do not have an easy way of determining which contacts may or may not be the appropriate contact. The account team (and it may not be the CSM) generally have a good idea of who should be contacted, but that data isn’t easily available in JO.Additionally, a lot of these larger scale 1-off or automated flows are not a feasible request for our account teams to send when they’re needed, and require an ad-hoc JO or automated flow, which is difficult when we don’t have that contact data. What would be fantastic is if there was also a boolean toggle that allowed CSMs to opt specific lists out of JO programs. Bottom line – People Lists need to be accessible throughout CS.
I’ve been working a lot lately with Power Automate and one really good feature it has is Microsoft Copilot is embedded in the interface, so it can analyze failures and give me suggestions on how to fix, tell me if something is being used in the programIt would be great if there was an agent embedded in Rules Engine, Journey Programs, Data Designer that could be used in this way.
As a CS admin, I would love to see Gainsight expand the reporting capabilities beyond existing objects to also include things like:Rules Engine: Fail/Partial Success Reasons, Rule Chain information, # of Actions Executed, Last Modified Dates Data Designs: Fail/Partial Success Reasons, Last Modified Dates (and by who), where a DD might be used, etc. Connectors: Fail/Partial Success Reasons, Last Modified Dates, etc. Other items: A user’s BCC to Timeline status - is it set up/what is the address per person? Report on custom Cockpit/Timeline views While a lot of this info is available, it’s quite fragmented across different pages or sources -- Some can be found in the UI (like the rules summary ribbon), some have to be done via downloading a .csv log (failure reasons), some require an export of configuration home (modified dates for connectors). Others are not available without proxying in as a user which requires lengthier troubleshooting steps, especially for those on a SFDC instance.Having these & more available as reporting for an admin-centric Home or Dashboard not only enables better visibility into an instance, but helps us be more efficient in assisting our organizations and maintaining all of our assets.
There are many situations where Help Text would be incredibly valuable for our users. Especially as we develop out new features and try to gain better adoption of Gainsight from our users. This request is that a Help Text feature be enabled for all fields within CTAs, SPs, Timeline Activities -- any areas where we are building custom objects to serve our users’ needs, so that we can add additional information for the user around the purpose of a field within an object.
Part of the value proposition for attachments, is easy access for CSMs to find what they need at the right time.Part of the value proposition for the 360 in Zoom integration, is to have Company information for a customer at the CSMs fingertips without having to open Gainsight proper. It would be great to combine the two, and allow the Attachments tab in the 360 to be accessible in the Zoom Gainsight App (integration??) to get the best of both worlds. Currently, this does not seem possible.
Can the rule engine provide feature parity to manual operations on SP templates when applying additional templates? <support snip>Success Plan templates in Gainsight can only be applied once to a Success Plan through the rules engine, which is a confirmed limitation. This means that while you can apply templates manually multiple times, the rules engine restricts this functionality, and there is currently no option to remove this limitation.</support snip> Success Plan Action Type - Gainsight Inc.Append Templates: Select the templates that you want to add to the Success Plans. New templates are added to the list of existing templates. The templates that have already been applied are not applied again. This unexpected limitation has halted various process flows, it seems odd to have this limitation when it is possible manually without restriction.
It would be really helpful to be able to have a few fixed posts on the landing page similar to the dynamic content widget but with personal selected topics. That way you could present the newest important updated directly on the landing page. At the moment I’m using a head banner to highlight the most recent or important update. But depending on how big your product is or if there are multiple important updates in a short time frame, it could be helpful to pin them as a list on the landing page,
In the world of communities the discussion in topic comments can be active and all the different tips and tricks to solve the original problem are scattered in several comments. In our community we sometimes try to summarize the content of the whole topic and post a summarizing comment to the topic. This is requires a lot of reading and manual work. Thus we propose an AI summary tool to each topic in the control environment, so that the moderator can produce an AI summary to the topic. We propose that this would only be available in control, so that before posting the AI summary the moderator can fact check the summary and, if needed, add something to it. This would be quite similar to the AI Summary that can be found on the control homepage, but this would be available in all topics. And lastly, the AI would need to summarize topics in the language the topic has been written in. At the moment, topic summaries are only available in English.
Hello, at the moment, it isn’t possible to report on which Success Plan has been shared with external contacts. We do have the User Shared Detail object, but that only indicates whether something was shared with an external user, it doesn’t specify the Success Plan.Currently, the only way to view this information is through the Success Plan Sharing section, which not everyone has access to.It would be helpful to make this information more easily visible and reportable.
We are in the process of implementing custom insights. Some of the fields we want to monitor are dates, and we would want to use relative dates, for example more than 30 days ago, more than 60 days ago, etc.An example of this is some of our customers send us certain reports monthly. Not receiving this report could be a sign of other issues, change of personal, lack of administration of the system, less use, etc.Today when creating a custom insight based on a date field, you must select an absolute date. Allowing the use of a relative date would allow you to create far more useful Insights for when items are overdue.
Filters in the various reports and dashboards only allow you to do ANDs. For certain fields it would be useful to allow for OR operators when filtering.
We have a number of fields we have imported from SFDC into Staircase for tracking our customers license use. Some of these are meant to be just account level fields (like contracted amount) where others would be good to show on the graph for Product Usage on the accounts page. Today it appears there is no way to designate what fields are displayed on this graph, it appears any numeric field is displayed in this list. Many of them don’t make sense to show there, for example contracted value only changes annually, so you will see 0 change week over week.Of course our users can select the fields that matter, but this is a small number of fields and the other fields make it difficult to find those that matter.
I think that it would be neat if these two updates were considered:New Timeline Activity Type: Survey Response URL Fields made available for use on Milestone and/or this proposed Survey activityI’ve recently been leveraging the Rules Engine to create a Milestone Timeline Activity and have had to concatenate some survey details into a single STRING field to get that data reviewable, including the Response URL.The result is something that is functional but not visually appealing. The goal is to provide CSMs with high-level, reviewable survey response data while they are reviewing the Timeline to assess their book of business. Thanks!
Please let me configure that layout of the ‘Add Record’ function on low-volume objects.
We have several fields we bring over into Staircase for license use. One of these is Month over Month change. This could be a positive number (they are using 50% more) or a negative number (they are using -50% less).Although I was able to add an insight for license growth over 25%, I was not able to add a license decrease for less than -25 (this would always show 0 customers). For now I added an insight for less than 0, but ideally would like to use a negative number as less than 0 will only show a decrease than since last month where less than -25 would show a more significant decrease. In my case this is for license use, but I think you will find many numeric fields may have a negative and the ability to build insights on those negative values would be very helpful.
I am currently setting up some rules to help manage our churn process and want to create a rule which creates a Churn CTA when the customer doesn't renew. The process would look like: Renewal CTA created > Renewal CTA Closed Lost > Churn CTA Created. When the customer confirms that they will not renew we populate their Renewal Date to a field called Churn Date. When creating the Churn CTA I want to be able to set the CTA Due Date to the Churn Date. The issue is that it's only possible to set the CTA due date to the Run Date +X Days. The create CTA action would be way more flexible and valuable if we had the following options for the CTA due date: Actual date based on a field (e.g. Churn Date) Actual date based on a field + X days (e.g. Churn Date + 5 Days) Run date plus X days (Already possible)
It would be great to support 2 additional languages, our customer base have a requirement for all systems they use to provide native language support for their users. As we are using Gainsight for the community and knowledge base for our customers there has been an ask to request these to be added.
Custom Pages can be very useful, but there are some issues with them:If you have a lot of Customer Pages on the backend, you have to scroll through a long list of pages. Can we have a way to create folders for them and / or categorize them on the backend Custom Pages do not belong to a Category on the front end -- Since we show different customer pages to different personas (custom roles), we would like them to roll up to a category You have no analytics on Custom Pages. They do not show up in your analytics dashboard. So we have to use Google Analytics to track traffic to those pages. This is sub-optional.Thanks
Hi there,at the moment in the Dynamic content widget I can sort by e.g. number of views and then choose to only show content published in the last X days. This way I can show e.g. “most popular content published in the past month” What I additionally would like to do, is to have a widget that shows “most viewed content in the past month” which actually looks at when these views took place.this would make it easier to highlight some popular content that might be old but might be particularly relevant in the given month (e.g. seasonal topics) What I mean is a ranking like we get in the Content Dashboard. Over there, if I filter by a given timeframe, it shows me the amount of views, replies, likes within a given timeframe, regardless of when the topic got published.Cheers,Daniele
The Topic Banner widget, but instead you get to specify a URL and the text for the banner. Example use cases:Linking to a custom page. Linking to a non-community blog/webpage
Heya!Probs not possible yet but thought it’d be helpful to have the same widget as the below (on the homepage): Also available from each of the product communities landing page. This would probably help foster more responses as some topics might end up being buried on the grand homepage now that we’re gathering all posts from all angles? Thanks!A
