Hi Team, Currently, our JO both Old and New programs don’t allow the Field to Field comparison in the Evaluate and Conditional Wait steps either for Audience or Calculated fields; like how we allow it in the Report builder (see the 2nd Screenshot) Use Case: There are accounts that regularly have a change of data in fields, let’s take CSM field as an example; on Day 1, I sent an email with CSM Name as “ABC” later if the CSM gets changed for that account to “XYZ”, then in that case I wish to send my subsequent emails to receive a different contextual email template altogether, but I can only send a different Template if I can evaluate if the CSM of that particular account is changed by comparing it with the initially loaded participant CSM value. Had I known that account CSM i can simply pass it as value in Evaluate step, but since each account have a different CSM then I can manually choose to create multiple branches.Had I have the option to compare the current CSM field (taken from Calculated field) and check with the Participant CSM field in Evaluate by comparing on field to field basis i would be able to achieve my use caseNote: Although I can use calculated fields, but I can’t dynamically evaluate the value coming from Calculated field with Participant field Existing Evaluate or Conditional Step functionality only allows to pass static values: Field to Field comparison in Report builderfyi @vmallya
Hello! As we implement Email Campaigns more via our CC platform, I’d like to suggest the ability to export the different stat groups created (Delivery Rate, Open Rate, etc) to CSV. It would allow us to send that info to other groups at the company - for example, the users who clicked the link in the email could be passed over to another team to determine if they are existing customers or potential prospects.-Sam
We have a click rate, but no details on which links were clicked or by whom. Use cases: Understand popular content Create better email campaigns A/B testing Build segments based on those who click specific linksWithout this, it is cumbersome to get insights from larger newsletter type email campaigns. I send a weekly community digest that averages 30+ links across various sections (events, documentation updates, product updates, open questions, recent answers, etc.) I have no clue which links are generating clicks unless I take the cumbersome and time intensive effort to use utms parameters or shortened tracking urls. That doesn’t scale for a weekly newsletter use case.
It would be fantastic if we had the option to use dates (and dates from fields) in the case expressions of the Rules Engine. The use case for this would be analysis on data requiring a date to ultimately be the item produced (i.e., opportunity analysis, determine specific date, load to company).
Hi allHere’s some whitespace feedback for change 🙃.I’ve recently moved our team of CSMs to the new Gainsight Home layout with the “new” ribbon and CTA widgets. They like that they can now click on to see details of what’s open, overdue etc. without us having to provide additional homemade widgets. However, they’re frustrated at the way it displays because they can’t see the name of the relationship nor click on it without expanding the Company > Relationship column (and with the width of the side pane, it takes several expansions to see the relationship link). Currently, the width of all columns is the same regardless of that column’s actual content. While clearly, the longest columns are the CTA name and the Company > Relationship column. Our ask: Better utilize whitespace for a more usable drilldown feature in CTA widgets (all of them). Instead of opening a sidebar, open a pop up with the CTA information. Allow column wrap OR column sizing based on actual column content by default → the Company > Relationship column width is just insufficient.
I’m wanting to be able to extend the functionality of our community with some javascript and need a way to verify user when connecting to our backend service (running on subdomain of CC) as getting the UserId from inSidedData is to easy to fake as UserId’s are sequential. My suggestion would be to have a api endpoint that can verify the session cookie and return userId. an alternative might be secret token or something on InsidedData that is long enough to not guess and can be retrieved by api.Usecase:allowing per product product update subscription.so we create UI replacing the subscibe button allowing for granular subscription that sends to backend service to persist the settings(no way to do so to user profile could also be an option)We then use webhooks to capture new product updates and email all users subscribed to the categories.
Currently, the only options for case field data types are String, Number, and Boolean. it would be very beneficial to allow admins to assign a particular picklist value based on individual case expression criteria. My original use case for this is in Data Designer, but the option should be available wherever Case Expressions are used. In Data Designer, you often have highly curated data sets, necessitating the creation of new attributes (fields) via transformations that don’t otherwise exist at an object level. Enabling picklists as a data type would allow you more flexibility in assigning an attribute to records in your curated data set, without requiring picklists as permanent attributes on your object level records. Ideally, admins would be allowed to reference picklists in their designs, not in the design but in data management, as well as create a new picklist, when assigning the values.
The limitations of the GS Home filters are now even more apparent now that we can have different GS Home Layouts and assign them to other users. In the current configuration the Cockpit and Timeline sections of Gainsight home are filtered to the CTAs and TL Entries that are linked to the COMPANY objects that the user filter identifies. If the User (CSM, TAM, etc) has CTAs or TL entries linked to companies outside that filter logic, they do NOT show up. This became very apparent when we made a layout for our TAMs who support many customers where they are not the “dedicated” TAM on the account, and their CTAs and TL entries do not show up in GS Home.Another issue with the limited configurations is the inability to apply a filter to a different data object other than Company or Relationship. This makes it impossible to filter Data Designer data sets, or SalesForce Data sets like you can in the Dashboard Global Filters. I get that it is trying to make it simple, or easy, but limiting these options actually makes it HARDER on the Admin as they can’t manage the display of data for users acurately.
Related to This is a very common scenario: Pool CSM team establishes a shared inbox so they can manage inbound requests and responses from customers without serving as a “named” resource on an account.Problem is, those email exchanges cannot be logged to Timeline because Gainsight Assist doesn’t support shared mailboxes, presumably because Microsoft does not support add-ins for shared mailboxes. However, I discovered that apparently Microsoft does now support it, and add-in developers would have to make changes to inherit these changes.I consider this a high priority request for enhancement that would go a long way in helping CSM teams scale our engagement with customers.
Here’s a nice, basic web design standard one. In Surveys, we are offered three types of buttons:Primary CTA (colored fill) Secondary CTA (colored outline, transparent fill) Normal Link (colored text When you select the Primary CTA, you can change:Fill color Font colorWhen you select the Secondary CTA, you can change:Fill color Font colorYou cannot change the outline color and if you want something else than Gainsight blue, WHY offer a secondary button style for which you can’t change the outline color, only the fill color?--Support (Tier I) has been telling me that this is expected and suggested I change the fill so my button matches the primary button 🙄😶 (Yeah, sure. I want a secondary style button that looks exactly the same as the primary style), and claims that they (support, engineering, product) do not remember a time where we could change the outline color on the secondary button style. I do remember that time, but maybe I fabricated a memory of the only logical and possible approach to this. According to Support (Tier i), in their AI response, it’s not a bug and I’m mixing things up with email templates features.Fact is, I can’t see the point of even offering this style if there was never the option to change the outline color, but would be happy to be proven wrong and demonstrated the value of the feature as it stands by the pm in charge (not by Tier II). If you agree that we should be able to change the outline of the secondary button style (and not the fill), please upvote the hell out of this post ! PS: https://designcourse.com/blog/post/primary-vs-secondary-cta-buttons-in-ui-design, because at the end of the day, a survey is delivered via a web page. PS2: customer brand guidelines may require outline style buttons regardless of primary or secondary.
Hi all - Do we have an enhancement feature request - where we could have a specific layout as per the CTA type and Reason? I know at the moment - we can have a unique layout per CTA type. but wondering if it is possible per CTA reasona and Type?
Would like to be able to filter Events or Insights notifications by Topic. Use Case:You want to keep a close eye on a particular topic especially extremely positive or extremely negative communications.Proposed solution:Add the ability to filter on other components besides just account fields. @bradybluhm FYI
The information about “N replies” that appears next to the name of someone who has commented on a post is confusing, as it seems to be saying that there have been “N replies to this specific comment”, and not “N total replies” from that user.Perhaps it makes sense to show it only on the user's card that appears when you hover over their image, but not on the comment itself.
Hi folks, The throttling concept is great in the Settings → Engagments part of PX, but it could be a lot more functional. What I would *like* to do is set up the following rules for the 3 types of engagements we currently have: Welcome Guides - no restrictions, fire when applicable Notifications - no restrictions, fire when applicable. Surveys - Restrict to 120 days between surveys. Restrict to 3 days between other engagements. We will have 10+ surveys constantly trickling data in. This gives me the ability to limit surveys once a quarter per user and never more than 4 in a year, to give them a little breathing room (but not too much) between surveys and other engagements, and not restrict anything mission critical. We can’t do that today, so I’m stuck with: Welcome Guides - no restrictions, fire when applicable. Notifications - no restrictions, fire when applicable. Surveys - Restrict to 14 days between any engagement so we don’t overwhelm a user with surveys. Whenever a global notification goes out, we flat out stop conducting surveys for 2 weeks. That’s valuable data not being collected. It also means we could (in theory) overwhelm users every couple of weeks with a survey (even though we’re using % audience rules to attempt to limit this). Anyway, would love to be able to apply these throttling rules to groups of engagements instead of globally. Groups could be defined as the type of engagement, or as an actual organized group of engagements (if a folder hierarchy is every applied to engagements page, this could be used here). Appreciate the read...
Currently, we cannot trigger an engagement when user hovers over any of the UI element on their end application. This can be achieved using a badge. But one of the client doesn’t want to put badge over their application and wants to display the tooltip when user hovers over the required UI element. It would be really helpful if could incorporate such feature in our product.
All,I’m re-logging this because the original idea a lot of us upvoted has “mysteriously” disappeared. It shows up in search but throws an error (!) (/ideas/7806)The topic is very near and dear to us Digital CS peeps’ hearts and I don’t see what justified seemingly archiving that. Anyway, back to business:JO Timeline Entries MUST be reportable. Full stop. They need to really exist in the Activity Timeline object (and not just have made up links in Cockpit), they need to be a type we can filter on outside of R360 Timeline (the only place we can), so basically, everywhere: reports, dashboards, rules, API, query builder, data designer, data management, you name it. They are when they sync to Salesforce. Why can’t you do the same in Gainsight? Why was it “not in scope”?
Hello Team, Thanks for introducing the new Home page. I have an enhancement request. When we add a filter on the home page, there is no option to rename the filter names.
Currently the Timeline tab on CTAs does not display any of the system admin generated Timeline activities created from sending Journey Orchestrator emails. It is confusing for users to see two different versions of Timeline, one on C360 with additional activities, and one in CTA Timeline with missing activities. This causes confusion and questions the accuracy of Timeline. Can we please add JO program Timeline activities to the CTA Timeline tab view? I get that it’s probably a display issue with the formatting of seeing the emails in this condensed view, but this should be added in whatever condensed way is possible in the interest of consistent user experience.
As it currently stands, we are unable to apply an in-line filter for a drop-down field in Mass Edit Reports. I am requesting on behalf of my customer that we add this feature as it would be a great tool to have for our users to be able to quickly sort their data on the dashboard. Example below:
Hi All,Do we have any plans on having Gainsight app for Microsoft Teams similar to the Gainsight <> Zoom integration? We have a subset of our customers that leverage Teams instead of Zoom and for CSM handling those accounts it’d be great to have a similar experience to increase their productivity.
Currently, only fields of type String and Dropdown are supported for search configuration in Linked Objects setup. It would be beneficial to include the ID data type for the search field configuration as well.In our case, CSMs aim to link Opportunities to CTAs by searching for account-related opportunities using their ‘Name’ or ‘ID’. However, typing a keyword sometimes results in multiple opportunities, causing confusion in selecting the correct Opportunity. By using the Opportunity ID available from Contract documents, it becomes easier to accurately link the correct Opportunity to a CTA.
When using the new functionality to comply with the EU’s Digital Services Act, there are a number of use cases where a Community Manager may need/want visibility into which posts were edited / when authors were notified. I imagine most of these use cases could be solved to their own bespoke needs by publishing a webhook event that Community Managers can leverage for their use case(s). Use Case ExamplesAdd a moderator tag to the post that was edited Payload should have author Id and ideally post Id or reply Id, so I can specify which post in the thread was edited / which author Audit Log, Compliance Analysis, and Reporting Send details of the notify author to a tracking spreadsheet or database Compare to events for when the post content changes to ensure compliance Track which users are being notified and at which volume, perhaps as a reason to consider banning the user, changing access permissions, addressing a pattern of behaviors directly, etc
Hi all, at the moment Customer Goals can be associated only to Success Plans and CTAs - is there any plan to add CSQLs to that list? The use case that we have is that most of the time, our CSQLs generate a new Customer Goals, hence why we’d like to be able to link the two together.
