Celebrating 9 years and 10K Community Members!

I’m excited to celebrate our Gainsight GameChanger’s Community reaching the amazing milestone of 10K members! I also thought this would be a fun opportunity to revisit some of the key events and participants in our nearly 9 years of Community history. (And, I hope those with a better memory than me chime in to correct any of my mistakes! 😅)While my own involvement with Community management began about 7 years ago, it was actually my current manager @emily_mcdaniel_629a86 who launched the community back in December 2014. At the time, she ran our Support team, and like so many other initiatives the motivation and inspiration for Community was born in Support. Throughout the community’s history we were very fortunate to have @karl_rumelhart, now our President of Products, Technology, & Global Operations, as a strong proponent of Community. Indeed, Karl led by example when it came to encouraging our whole product team (as well as the various depts within CS) to be involved and engaged

Why you dont use quotes?

Sorry my provocative topic but I have seen a lot comments without quotes, for a long time, and I wonder why people doesnt use quote. There is only @mention and reply and thats about it. As you know there are always bunch of people who lurks in the background, who just follows the discussion. For them it is difficult and annoying to know what was the question or comment where this comment is answering. They have to jump back and forward to see the question and the reply. This is issue especially with the long threads with several users. Does this have something to do with the other social channels, they dont have quotes and people have used not to use quotes?  This is truly first world problem but I am sad about this behaviour :D

Whoa!  10,000 users in the Gainsight community!  Congratulations to all the members who have created something incredibly special -- real engagement, real community. I am struck by how wonderfully the community embodies our concept of human first.  Within Gainsight’s product and engineering teams, the community has helped us always keep in the front of our minds that our customers are people.  We talk to them.  They talk to each other.  We learn their personalities and focus areas. To think that the little tribe of Gainsight enthusiasts connecting through the community nine years ago has grown to 10,000 is like seeing that we have more friends than we even realized.  Thanks for your friendship.

Pulse Impact: GS ALL Serving Communities in India

Hello Game Changers! I am excited to keep the conversation going about our Pulse Impact programs! GS ALL is our flagship, completely in-house program that launched in 2021. It stands for the “Gainsight Administration Leadership League” and focuses on professional development & employment opportunities for marginalized communities in India. Although similar in nature to CS YOU, there are three predominant factors that differentiate GS ALL from CS YOU: GSALL Program: GSALL was launched by our internal Gainsight teammates in Hyderabad, which made for two exciting developments: we took Pulse Impact beyond the United States’s borders, and our Gainsight teammates drove the program from start to finish. CS YOU: The Genesis of Pulse Impact

CS YOU is the program that inspired what is now Pulse Impact—Gainsight’s philanthropy programs. I vividly remember the early days, back in 2020, when we were brainstorming Gainsight’s response to the massive wave of civil unrest and focus on social justice that took the country by storm. With the Customer Success industry’s massive growth and the momentum to drive inclusion, we saw it as both a social and business imperative to launch a program that supported underrepresented populations within the tech industry, and specifically people of color—while training a diverse group of individuals to enter a quickly growing industry. A win-win!The stars aligned with ed-tech master, SV Academy. Within a few months, we went from a very early vision to a fully launched program, designed to drive long-term wage growth and create a more diverse and inclusive CS community.  We worked hard together to develop a CS bootcamp program with a curriculum based on Gainsight’s vast CS expertise and SV Acade

Pulse Impact: Its Beginning and Its Future

I’m lucky to have had lots of opportunities to think through Gainsight’s mission statement—and what it means to the thousands of people who hear it: “To be living proof you can win in business while being Human-First.”Inevitably, it will resonate in different ways. In 2020, running a Human-First business meant addressing the inequalities still facing our industry. As a leader in Customer Success (CS), Gainsight was in a unique position to influence the industry’s trajectory. Our philanthropic initiative—Pulse Impact—was launched in response to the #BlackLivesMatter protests following the murder of George Floyd. From the start, Pulse Impact was our attempt at giving underrepresented individuals a chance to become a meaningful part of the CS Community.What began as a standalone, up-skill training program (in the form of CS YOU) has now developed into a world-wide, multi-pronged initiative.
