I got this from one of our CSMs:   You know what would be cool?   If Gainsight had the ability to scan the emails we put in, or the names, and auto-include them on the Internal/External section. For timeline activities.   That would be really cool.

Hi team, When ever user change the license type and permission bundle they need have one more step to send Welcome email.  When ever they save changes User status move to pending, if a Welcome is triggered manually then it shows “Welcome email sent “ but User did not received it, Customer wants to change the message to that “Status is in pending, send Welcome later” or the email should be delivered properly.  

When @mentioning a user in a topic in a privet or hidden group, I was expecting an error message likeThis person has not yet joined the group and will not be notifiedwhen I attempt to @mention user courtney_hauser in our community who haven't accepted my invite/ or the @mention dropdown to only offer me the courtneys who are a part of the group already (which is 0)?      For Public groups it should be fine as it serves as a teaser for user to Join the Group@Yoeri , @Marion Frecaut ?

Starburst Enterprise is a data mesh solution that can be used as a data source within enterprise BI tools (like Tableau or PowerBI). It would be incredibly beneficial to be able to leverage the tables in our Starburst instance as datasources within Gainsight (similar to the way the Snowflake connector allows for tables in Snowfake to be used as data sources today) without data duplication as a requirement.

It would be great to combine the Badge to launch an engagement with the hotspot animation. This would be helpful for new content that you want to direct a user’s attention to. Then, I’d want the animation to stop but the badge to remain after the user has clicked on the badge and viewed the engagement one time.

B2B companies that implement SSO will therefore rely on the work address of their users, but some communities can be valuable after a member is no longer a customer. Think of InSpired: Today I am at Smartly.io and my account on InSpired is tied to that email address. But if I leave and become a community manager elsewhere, or introduce InSided to a my new company, wouldn’t it be nice for me to retain my status and network of 1-1 communications within InSpired?While switching email address could be a problem how about a recovery email address? I’ve actually spent quite a bit of time implementing this via the InSided API using a custom field which seems to work well. However this is very custom and I’d much rather it was supported out of the box! Happy to share more if there is interest of course.

We moved over from a Slack community to Insided and one of the things we’re missing (and users are missing) is the ability for them to search each other to strike up conversations.

We’re rebuilding our ranking system, and while gathering feedback from the superuser group, a few of them mentioned that they don’t like to stand out among the rest of the community members - it feels like they have a target on their back.While users can remove badges, reputation and the user title from their display, their username and avatar will still show up with all the bells and whistles (rank icon, username icon, username styling (including color)).I would like for users to be able to not display the username styling, if they don’t want it, just like they can remove badges etc.This also allow us to create a ranking structure where we don’t have to work around the mighty few, but can focus on the structure in its entirety.Cheerios! 

As a community manager or moderator, it would be very helpful to be able to share a topic with other users via direct message.Typically as a team manager, if I want a team member to go and address a given question/idea, I have to copy the URL and paste it into an e-mail or a direct message which is not very practical.

As a GS customer, I want the emails that are sent with an alias to customers using our customer marketing software (Iterable, Mailchimp, etc.) to log correctly to timeline so that I can keep visibility of marketing emails within timeline for my CSMs.ContextThe emails that we send using our marketing software tie the names of our CSMs to an alias email (example: success@mail.gainsight.com). We need to access this information on a regular basis. Right now, we can access the bcc email addresses, but have to generate the API key each time to see this info. Allow the inbound emails checkbox to automatically check off for new users so that we do not have to manually check this box every time we add a new user. 

Is it on the roadmap, or is it possible that we can have a calendar view of Timeline on the Global Timeline and the C360/R360 Timeline? The use case is that this is normally in project management tools such as smartsheet, monday.com, etc. and it helps create a holistic view for that customer to be able to see how the month’s activity vs scrolling and filtering for dates in a linear format.  Show: Name of Timeline Activity or Count of specific timeline activity type Filter Options: Specific Account (when viewing via C360), User’s Accounts  (global), Timeline Activity Type (Call, Meeting, etc.), Custom filter to see all business reviews for example Views: Daily, Weekly, Monthly (monthly being a higher priority) Also requesting this for CTA’s / Success Plans Subjects 

While the number of people we can send private messages to is limited to 50, it would be great if the 50 names could be added in one go - for e.g uploading a csv file It takes a lot of time and effort to add each one individually. In case there is a way to do this already, please let me know!

Currently, in X-org migration in order to migrate a dashboard, it is required to select all reports that are in dashboard and objects that these reports are based on. If we can provide an option where if we select a dashboard all reports and objects should be selected default it would be super helpful and save time. 

Activity Date should be added into emails for Meetings, Calls, Other sent from Gainsight by "Share via Email".

Hello team, I know there is a work around for this but i would like to formally request a searchable option for CSM. I think we have 2 options here:Global Search bar at the top (not my first choice due to with company and relationship, adding the additional piece of contact can get messy in my opinion) Sally (this one would be my favorite) Not sure which is more realistically possible but I would love to be able to ask sally about a name or an email and have her pull up my options. Of course the global search bar would be the traditional way and that would work to feel like this might be a larger ask however.  Best Regards, Darshana Shah@sai_ram @kate_peter @CassidyCardoso 

Hello - I’d like to request a Gainsight Sally feature capability similar to what Gainsight Assist (the gmail plugin) can do. We’d like the ability to capture the content of a selected Slack message and send this directly to Timeline.Currently you have to manually copy & paste the content which seems quite cumbersome.

Why: The law, the need and the urgencyGDPR and the Schrems II judgment states that EU citizens’ user data (e.g. IP addresses, other meta data) may only be shared with non-EU countries if EU citizens enjoy the same protection compared to EU countries When users embed media from third-party platforms (e.g. YouTube, Giphy, Imgur, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, TikTok, Pinterest, Vimeo, SoundCloud, etc.), there is no way of knowing if and what user data is being transferred and shared with non-EU servers and databases As there exist no binding contracts with any of the third-party platforms regarding guarantees about the EU-conform protection of user data, the community cannot continue using embeds that do or may transfer user data to non-EU countries without an added layer of user protection If a EU based community has external media enabled that might share data to non-EU countries and users cannot fully opt-out of it by now, then every single embedded media is a potential data p

Hi Team,There are some scenarios were CSMs create multiple activities for a customer and they will come back and updated a few activities if required on the next interactions. If we have an option to favorite the activity and having a section to see all favorite activities will be more helpful RegardsRaju

With the current API version, we are unable to access the few fields like Internal Comments in Case object in Rules. Can we please upgrade the API version in order to maintain consistency across modules to access the fields in SFDC objects?

Example:A comment is being published in topic A. Later, this comment is moved to topic B. In the user profile the comment is still being shown as based in the original topic A.→ I considered this to be a bug, but inSided informed me that it is the intended behaviour.inSided’s point of view:The functionality of that section is used as a log of actions by the user not as a list of where their content lives. This is why you see things like "You have given the best answer" as well as new replies and topics.My point of view:There is no reason that the old location (topic A) of the comment is still listed in any overview. If anyone now clicks on the old topic, they won’t find the comment they’re expecting. Any activity stream should show the current state of the content.With the same logic, deleted content should also still appear in the user profile activity stream, which it doesn’t. And comparing actions such as “new replies” with content that was moved to another location doesn’t make sen

Our community is new and it would be great if there was a way to add a description on the groups page so community users know what the page is for and maybe how to request that a group be formed.We anticipate community members asking for groups to be formed but right now it’s just a blank space which is not helpful or a great user experience.

Hi Team, Client ( Personio‍ ) had a scenario where they made some changes to the template and saved the template related changes in the program as well but the participants were failing. Later they went and republished the program and issue got resolved for them. Client mentioned it would be great if they get an alert to republish the program if any changes are made in program. This would be good feature in the program so logging this community post. 

Use case: Communities who set targets to improve (reduce) the number of single user topics. This metric is provided in the Success Dashboard and could be a common engagement metric to target. Functionality Gap: The filters in Control’s Content Moderation page are robust. However, filtering by the number of replies, doesn’t allow you to find and address these “single user topics.”Often times the original poster will reply to their question or post with an update or the answer when they figure it out on their own. (I myself come back and answer questions when I figure it out on my own). Given how single user topics are defined in the dashboard, those would still show up as single user topics.  

Right now, if a Playbook does not quite fit the situation for a CTA that fires on a particular customer, the user can either individually delete each Task in the Playbook, Replace Playbook or Delete the entire CTA (then manually create a new one, if need be). It would be a time saver and create an efficiency if there were also an available option to simply "Delete Playbook."
