It’d be great if we could create customized buckets of data in report builder. This would help us more easily summarize insights to CSMs and the company. Just like we have it natively for Date fields (by Quarter, by Month, by Year, by Week….) I’d like to create my own custom buckets for numeric data.Let’s say we have a Usage field on our Company object, and the business needs to know the percent of accounts that fall below a certain threshold, vs above that threshold. Right now, I don’t think there’s a way for me to natively accomplish this.Use Case Examples:What percent of accounts have less than 50% usage? What percent of accounts have more than 2 Champions? As I’m typing this out, there’s also a need here to allow for generating percentages from aggregate fields. My use cases above have a defined “threshold” of what is considered acceptable vs not acceptable, and the business needs to know of the book of business, what percent of accounts fall within the acceptable vs unacceptable range. Today, I don’t have a way to do this natively in report builder. Related posts
Hi Team,I’d like to suggest an enhancement that could help improve SEO performance and content quality within the platform.🔍 Observation while working on the SEO-related task in the project:During testing, we identified a few scenarios related to image-only posts: Image-only replies (no text): If the first reply to a post contains only an image and no accompanying text, it is marked as blank in Google’s Rich Results Test (i.e., “Missing field: text”). Adding captions below images: When a caption or text is added below the image, the issue is resolved, and the post successfully passes the Rich Results Test. Marking as Best Answer: If such a post is marked as a Best Answer/Solution, the issue becomes non-critical, but it still exists. Image Title 💡 Suggested ImprovementOption in the editor to make the image caption (text field below images) mandatory whenever a user uploads an image.✅ Expected Benefits Prevents “Missing field (text)” SEO issues Ensures better content accessibility and context Improves structured data quality for search engines Encourages more meaningful user-generated content This would be a valuable addition, especially for communities focused on SEO and content discoverability.I’d love to hear your thoughts on thisThanks 🙌
I would like to hide the first few default options before the actual Nav items for the ‘Registered users’ who comprise 90% of my audience experience and only make it available for the ‘Moderators’ or admins.cc @Marion Frecaut - How to make it available only for the moderators and not for all reg. users?
I would like to compress the drop-down menus within the Mega Menu interface. For example, I only want to show the parent categories in the list, as shown below: This would be useful for several reasons, chief of which are:Having a scrolling menu is unusual and a little inconvenient We want to mimic the header across other portions of our site and the scrolling menu is difficult to maintain outside of the inSided platformI know we could make our own menu, but the logistics of coding it and getting it to work with other parts of the inSided platform have been a nightmare. It is easier to use what’s built-in.
Aloha folks. I'd like to have a freeform notes section for individual users, only available to moderators/staff, so we can track any changes to/info about that user. For instance (but not limited to) warnings, username changes, or any other useful information. :) (This is similar to Keith's idea about moderator notes on topics: https://community.insided.com/ideas/355 )
When sharing a link to a private group a user when they click on the link is taken to the group but not auto-joined to the group. This is causing issues as users don’t realize they have to do this additional step to join the group.I would like to request that when a private group link is shared that the user is automatically added or joins the group.. @valerie.molina
Our super users are asking for a new piece of community functionality - a destination notification centre which collates all activity in which they’ve been mentioned, received a like, been quoted in a reply, had someone vote in their poll, had someone choose their reply as a Best Answer. This is for highly engaged members who are too active for email notifications - it fills up their inbox. What they need is a notification centre within the community itself where they can check all the recent posts which affects them. It could possibly form part of a user’s profile page?
When you click on a member profile there should be clear copy/intuitive UX that accompanies the badge icon to indicate the “title” and a short description as to what they’ve done to earn it.Better experience for members to understand their own badges and what behaviour they’re being rewarded for, plus it adds context to help other members understand what they need to do to earn their own badges to drive more community engagement. The current hover state is very inconsistent to be able to see the badge title, so even improving that functionality would be a better UX.
The solution rate for questions is an important metric to measure the service quality (and therefore customer satisfaction) of the community. If a questioner marks an answer/reply as “best answer”, then it is confirmation that the issue was solved. This way the company can safely assume that the user had a satisfactory experience and also didn’t need to call the hotline (i.e. deflected calls → saving the company money). Also, questions that contain a marked “best answer” have a higher SEO value compared to questions without - and they are placed more prominently on Google (using Google Rich Results). This draws more people to the peer-approved “best answer” for their individual issue, therefore also leading to more customer satisfaction and deflected calls. But: A lot of users who post questions in a community tend to not give feedback about which reply/answer solved their issue. In our community we currently use manual follow-ups using the comments to guide questioners to mark “best answer”. If they don’t do it, then our moderators will mark the “best answer” based on their estimate and their experience. This workflow takes more effort and also only assumes that an issue has been solved with the comment/reply the moderator chose to mark “best answer”. So we want to have a new email notification that pushes authors of questions to mark “best answer”. Using the current email notification “post_create”, that is sent out to every user following a topic, can’t fulfill this task because we only want to target the author and push for actions only the author can take (mark “best answer”). Therefore we propose a new email notification: The new email notification will be sent out to an author of a question every time a new comment/reply has been posted in that topic. The notification will ask the author to read the comment/reply (e.g. providing an inline preview) and will also ask the author to mark this comment/reply as “best answer”, if the issue has been solved by it. To take it a step further, we propose that the author can mark the “best answer” directly from the email notification by providing a button (link) to click. We believe that this will have a significant positive impact on the solution rate - and therefore on the customer satisfaction not only for that single user but also for all users that will find the question and solution via Google (or in the community).
First off, the backfill idea is the coolest thing I've seen since, well, I can't think of a comparable connotation of awesomeness, but you get the idea. Could you all implement some type of status on it, however? A percentage of completion, or something, would be immensely helpful in determining two things for me, 1, based on x number of events we should expect y timeframe for results, and when it's actually complete without having to keep refreshing and going back into the product mapper list to see if the orange dot is still there.
Has Gainsight considered the use-case for dynamic content over variants? There are some instances where it would be great to be able to have blocks of content that change within an email, where everything else stays the same. Dynamic content blocks could be referenced multiple times across many email templates. For example - the footer is localized for regional addresses. The same block would be used across all emails, and only need to be built with filters that are defined once. Instead, I have to create many duplicates of a variant, add the filters to each variant, even if all of the other content remains the same, it’s very inefficient. Given the restraint on the number of variants currently supported, I’ll run out quickly when I have both content and footer changes to account for regions and languages.
Many of the same reasons as this idea: But for internal tracking. For example, I make robust use of moderator tags to tracking topics that go through certain moderation processes, etc. It’s also an easy way to privately segment content for specific analytic purposes. Use case that inspired this: I am building collections of FAQs on certain tags and topics, I’d like to be able to monitor views over time to understand the effectiveness of those FAQ collections. When looking at the Content analytics dashboard in its current state, there’s no way for me to know which topics were included those featured collections. A similar and likely more common use case is for curated content that is featured at the top of specific categories. A moderator tag could be used to segment which content is in those top spots, and then this new filter would allow CMs to look at traffic for those over time.
Does anyone agree with me that the user info section is too cryptic? I prefer Stackoverflows concrete statistics over this. So displaying likes as a number. I do like badges and presenting them visually. Why present them as ‘+9’ though and not display all of them?
As a member I like to receive an email notification, so that I know my answer is correct. Current situation. At the moment members don’t receive any email notification when they give a right answer. The other members in the same topic however do get a notification. This is strange because you want to inform that person (with the right answer) as well. Notification with picture The notification should also have the option to put a visual in the message. This will give more opportunities to trigger that person to go to the Community. And also to give more fun to the message. How much value does it create? With notification you can stimulate members to give more answers, which eventually will have a positive effect on your FIX. It will also have influence on your traffic, because you trigger them to go to the Community. There is a pitfall . When your team decides to mark multiple correct answer on a specific day. Then a user, most of the time a super user, will get several notifications at once. But this can also happen in case members are active in different topics, so in that case they also receive more notifications at once. That's why, it’s also important to have the possibility to turn off notifications for Right Answer as well.
We’d like to have the ability to add Product areas to events, to drive consistency across the CC experience and create more streamlined journeys.
It would be helpful to have a flexible way to hide or show sections in the C360 layout on certain criteria. Since we display a relatively large amount of sections at the customer, but not all customers have data in each section, it would be very time-consuming to design and maintain separate layouts for each case. A flexible solution with filters per section would be very helpful.
Today, there’s no quick way to see a user’s points inside Control. To find this information, I have to run a report, which takes time and slows down workflows. It would be much more efficient if point totals were visible directly on the user’s profile.Proposed EnhancementAdd a visible points summary within each user profile in Control that includes: Total Points (Lifetime) Points This Month Why This Matters Eliminates the need to run manual reports Saves time for admins and program managers Makes recognition and engagement tracking faster Improves visibility into user activity at a glance This small UI improvement would significantly reduce reporting friction and make points tracking more accessible.
Like the Prompt Library. Would love to have folders or some ability to organize them similar to how the Gainsight Suggestions prompts are broken down. Otherwise, feels like this will get unwieldy pretty quickly. @Ritika Jindal
Hi Team, As of now If there are more than 33000 characters then Email to Timeline will fail, Is there any plan of increasing the limit if not can we use truncate option here where the Notes till 33,000 characters are updated its truncated after that. Many users have reported that they are unable to use this due to this error.
Right now, you have to invite others to spaces with an email that is sent by the CSM. The problem for us is that we cannot send from our primary domain. We have to send from a subdomain, which we have configured in our instance. All emails we send from this subdomain, from Cockpit or from JO, are delivered as expected. But we cannot configure Spaces to send from this domain. It is just sent from our main-level domain, which of course does not pass DMARC, SPF, DKIM, etc. and the email is not delivered. This is to request some flexibility in the way Spaces sends the invites. Please allow us to send invites from our configured subdomain, so that we can actually use Spaces. Right now, this feature is not something we can use, since the invitations never arrive.
