We would like to be able to select all when selecting fields in the Data designer.
HiI was working on sharing groups today and noticed that the operators are different than in Report Builder. Not only limited/different options but the ones that we do have behave differently.Eg: I want to create a group where License Type = Viewer Analytics and the User Title contains "product”. In sharing groups there are only 4 options: =, !=, in, and nin that I assume are “equals” “not equals”, “in” and "not in” in Report Builder.Well, the “contains” is missing... Let’s use the “in”, not ideal, but better than adding al possible strings one by one and use an OR clause in the advanced criteria. Used to Report Builder behaviour I typed the first string, tab key, and nothing happened. I was about to submit a ticket and shooting in the dark, tried separating the values with commas, and that worked. So my requests will be:· Can you allow operators that exist everywhere else in the platform, to sharing groups too?· Can those be named consistently across the platform?· Can the behaviour be the same? (eg, tab key instead of commas)Thanks Sharing group filters vs Report Builder filters:Sharing Group filter: Filter behaviour in Report Builder:
We have a use case where we want to remove certain Closed Statuses from certain CTA types but cannot. The issue is that a status that is the default close status on a DIFFERENT type blocks you from removing that status on other types. Specific Use CaseStatus = ‘Completed’ is the default close status for all CTA types I create a new CTA Type called Ads The default Closed Status for this type is ‘Closed Not Applicable’ I am unable to remove ‘Completed’ as a status on this new CTA type because it is the default closed status on all other types, not this one. Im being told by support that this is intentional, but I don’t really understand any real world use case for this.
In the survey settings module, you are unable to choose between the two settings (Carry Forward Previous Value or Reset the value) for the NPS and CSAT scores if you use the setting to only include surveys in the Last N Days. You are able to use both settings if you select any of the other ‘pre-set’ options, however these options tend not to get used because they don’t fit best practices / aren’t practical for setting scores consistently. Can we either allow the option to be changed when using the Last N Days setting, or add some pre-set values like Last 1 Year and Last 6 Months, which are the most commonly used values that clients want to use for these settings
Hi, If you have a CSM sharing a meeting notes or comments relevant to multiple accounts, what is the best way to share this in Gainsight without having to duplicate the same entry into a number of different accounts? We're a SaaS business with two types of customers - manufacturers and retailers (who sell the manufacturers products). We have both manufacturers and retailers set up at C360 level and are using R360s to manage large relationships between the manufacturer and retailer e.g. Nestle x Walmart. Currently we have some 500 C360s and 550 R360s. When a CSM is logging a meeting at the Supplier level, this may be relevant to a number of different R360s - let's say this supplier deals with 20 different retailers and this meeting includes them all. What would be the best way to record this meeting so that it is logged in the main C360 as well as across the different R360s? Currently we're cut & pasting which is far from efficient ... As an idea, I would love to be able to hashtag multiple accounts and R360s, and of course people into Timelines, and possibly other features. Is anything like this considered in your roadmap? Any other way we could possibly achieve the above in more efficient manner? Thanks in advance Katerina
I came across this recently: I discovered an empty folder and naturally tried to delete it, only to be met with the frustrating message: "Folders with children cannot be deleted." This left me scratching my head since the folder was indeed empty. After a fruitless search in GainsightGo, I had to submit a support ticket.Support then directed me to the Bin. The process became unnecessarily cumbersome because there's no way to filter by folder name or select all items at once – pain points already highlighted in ideas like this one: I had to manually locate all the reports from the Trash, delete them, and then finally return to delete the now “truly” empty folder. For the sake of UX, could this workflow be streamlined? A simple prompt like, "Dependent reports exist in the Trash folder and must be deleted to remove this folder. Do you want to delete the folder and associated reports?" with a "Yes/No" option would make this process significantly smoother.
Section landing page does not obey my CONFIGURED Pinned/Ordered articles in Categories. This is BUG in my view.
Request:Enable automatic tagging or labeling of users with their role type (e.g., Customer, Partner, Internal Employee) and optionally their associated company name—displayed alongside their name in posts, comments, and profiles.Example: John Smith – Partner, Company X Jane Doe – Internal Employee Alex Lee – Customer, Company Y Why it matters:This improves clarity and context across community discussions and knowledge base engagement by instantly showing who is participating. It also helps internal teams and other users quickly understand the perspective or access level of the contributor without needing to dig deeper.
Hi,When we clone a report, the name and description do not, so I find myself doing this quite regularly: Click to edit the original report → Open notepad → Copy paste the name and description in notepad → Cancel edit → Click to Clone Report → Copy/Paste the other way around → Save More often than not, the name will be quite similar, adding a prefix or something to it. And the description too, maybe just a variation then and there like changing a month name to match the changes in the filters. If the name and description are filled in automatically and we don't want them, it's quicker and easier to delete and retype them than the other way around.
Similar to this idea (which was recently implemented, yay!), I find myself frequently cloning reports and having to select the folder I want to put the report in. Almost every time when I clone a report, I want that report to go into the same folder as its clone, but instead Gainsight chooses “uncategorized” by default. This would be an easy win for Admin Quality of Life. Thanks for considering.
Idea: Can we add a category to the AI Cheat Sheet so it can specifically summarize a specific timeline entry?Context:We launched a new set of CTAs where CSMs are asked to do a weekly update via the CTA timeline. Leaders then need to summarize all those updates and provide a TLDR to C-Suite. Currently I created a timeline report that managers download from GS and upload to ChatGPT for a summaryI would love if Cheatsheet can do something like that, whether we can add a category and track have AI summarize those insights for us, that way we dont have to export and upload to other platforms
It would be great if we could customize the icons associated with categories in the Content of a KC bot. RIght now we are limited to the category iconWe have a help panel we are trying to recreate in the KC Bot so we can embed this directly in the UI but the current content has nice stylized icons for the content so the UX suffers.
I use the calendar integration from Gainsight home to log all my meeting notes and every time I go to that widget in home I have to toggle from timeline over to the calendar. This does not save so if I leave home and come back I have to reset this throughout the day. I confirmed this is not something that can be adjusted on the admin end. Is there a way to either make this configurable from the admin end so the default can be the calendar and/or make it sticky when the user toggles over so it does not reset. I would think we would want the calendar integration to be front and center since this is a newer feature that adds so much efficiency!
Hi team, It looks as though we lack the function of forwarding automated program emails from the timeline in C360 to external customers. It seems this is the only timeline entry where this is an issue and only provides you with the option to either comment for internal users or copy the link to the timeline entry which would require GS access. Considering come contacts or new customers may join after an automated comms has been sent it would be useful for end users to have the ability to forward the automated content when needed. Please consider this for an upcoming product release as it makes things much easier for the end user and customers. Thanks a mill!
In various areas of the platform, pre-set filters are available to return a select group of records. It would be great if there was an All Time filter to just return all records in the dataset. This would save a lot of time from needing to build a Custom filter each time you access the modal. It’s especially needed in the areas of the product that do not allow you to configure a filter operator (no ability to set > or < or <= or >=)Here are examples of where this is needed:C360 > Survey tab Adoption Explorer dashboardsHere’s an example in the product where this is already available:Global Timeline C360 > Timeline
While the "User Group" object holds GSID and descriptions, it lacks user-level detail, so we can't see who's in a group. Also, the "User Group ID" in the "CTA" object has a GSID that doesn't match the "User Group" object's GSID.This means:· We can't identify users within a group.· We can't reliably know which group a CTA was sent to.To report on this, we need a way to link users to User Groups; a possible approach is a new "User Group Users" object storing User GSIDs and Group GSIDs, providing a connection like this: User Group > User Group Users > Users. We also need to fix the ID mismatch in the CTA's "Pool Id" or add a proper "User Group GSID" field to the CTA object. Thanks,
Using the GS Assist Gmail Plug-in, when logging an email thread, or a received inbound email from a customer (not when logging from the Compose window), the Activity Date/Time that syncs back to GS Timeline is the date/time the email was logged, not the date/time the email was received. Meaning, that if a customer emailed me on November 10, and I was out of office that day, so I logged it to timeline on November 11 when I was back in office, the activity date/time for the email activity in timeline would show as November 11. My request is for the date/time on the activity logged in Gainsight match the email metadata of when the email was received.
We are trying to work through our globalization and I was surprised to realize that Account Location rules are not available to use in the KC Bot audience. As we know there are many more audience rule options for engagements, why can’t we use the same Rule groups for the KC Bot? At the moment, I’m just thinking about the Account Location and Location (user location) rules, but can see potential for other rules as well (like Segments). These audience limitations also occur in the Recommended Content of a bot. cc’ing folks who have had ideas/questions about audience rules: @jmobley @katkenny23 @JPKelliher @woodlande @wheelern @Gainsight2022 @Lake1211 @rschlette @Amin_edge @rterakedis @Surendra @burtyish @shireesha_reddy @ejung @andrew_kwa @julie_pinto @Jack-Occleshaw
Our Customer Communities Categories are broken up in a way for our customers to easily find what they are looking for depending on module, app, role, set-up and everyday use. We recently ran into the issue that we could only connect 68 categories using the integration. We will like to see this updated - as our product grows, our categories grow. With the limit of 68, KC Bot will only be able to search a fraction of those categories.
