Any way to hide the Create Topic button for certain roles?

We have certain roles in our community that can view topics but can’t participate in them or add new ones. Is there a way to completely remove the Create Topic button for these roles altogether? Right now they can still click on it, and they get an error when trying to make a post.

Keyword Blocker List

Hello -  Does anyone have a good list of keywords to block where you could potentially send me a link? I’ve googled but there are lots of options, curious if there is one that people recommend. Some of the words on these lists I’ve never even heard of 😂Looking for more than just profanities but also political key words or words discussing violence, etc.  Thanks!

Let employees bypass pre-mod?

So last Sunday, I briefly checked our community queue (like any CM with no self-control would do) and saw that our CEO had replied to a customer. We always have pre-mod on during holidays and weekends and I had a minor freak out worrying he’d be frustrated his post got caught in the approval process. He was fine with it, but it reminded me I need to figure out how to let employees bypass pre-mod.I think the most obvious solution is to add all employees to the Superuser role as we’re not using it otherwise, but is there a better way?Also, at some point over the past year someone on my team apparently deleted the Superuser role from the role list. I’ve added it back by just recreating a Superuser role, but is that enough or was there more behind the scenes?Thanks!

Pendo in CC

Hello - Does anyone run Pendo on top of their community? We are having some trouble reporting out the username/userID into Pendo. If you use Pendo, we’re looking to see what data you can pull from Gainsight and how you do it? Thanks!​@darylard

CSQL - Sync Leads VS Sync Opportunities

If I switch from Sync Leads to Sync Opps in production, will the previous CSQLs historical data be deleted ? What happens to the CSQLs that have been created after switching sync option ?

Spam prevention - algorithm block more posts than before

I dont have hard data, this is just a hunch, but I think  we have more posts marked as a spam than before.And the problem is because they are ok posts, they should not be marked as a spam.There are no links, or promotion, or suspicious text, images, nothing.No matter are you new member or active member.Have you seen this also?

Profile Picture Selector

Has anyone created a modal pop up that allows users to select their user profile picture from a selection.Here is a mockup of what I would like to create. I have made it with HTML and CSS. Is there a way to filter/search for ideas that have been merged to another idea? I need to audit our ideation area for ideas that were merged but not marked with the appropriate idea status.

New topic, default is "Question". Is it possible to change this?

People wants also to discuss, not just ask questions. They don´t remember swap the mode, so we have bunch of discussions with question format.Is this possible to change somehow, that new topic is default as a discussion? Control I think so no but can you Gainsight change this for us?

How to Prep for Notification Center GA?

I’ve heard a general ETA of “January” for Notification Center generally availability* (GA). What does GA look like for customers / community managers? It it something that’s available, but we have to turn on? Or is it something that gets enabled for all when it’s ready?I ask because I’d like to plan the comms and supporting FAQs necessary for enabling this on my community. If I control when it’s turned on post-GA, then I have the flexibility to launch the comms assets in tandem. If I don’t, then I need to prioritize those assets early in January. *understanding and acknowledging that product development and release timelines are fluid, etc.

Email Campaign Metrics: Why don't Clicks show in Opens?

I’ve been piloting a community newsletter via the Email Campaigns feature for the past 4 weeks. In looking through my metrics, the recipients that show in my Click-through rate metrics are never included in my Open rate metrics. But… you have to open the email to click one of the links. Is this intentional or is it a bug? Based on the definitions in the tooltips and documentation, and my past experience with similar email metrics, I had assumed these metrics were like a funnel, rather than separate categories for recipient actions.

Access Denied When Downloading Attachment

Hi there! Wondering if anyone has run into this issue before on their community… Lately, we’ve had several users say they run into an ‘access denied’ message when trying to download an attachment, but then the issue seems to resolve itself several minutes later. Anyone know why this is happening?

Zapier webhook & moderation automation

Engagement not launching

I am finding when creating an engagement with a redirect, the redirect will work but then the engagement doesn’t launch until the screen is refreshed.  Has anyone come across this?

Required/mandatory "Ranking" Survey question

Hi team,This may be a silly question, but I was testing adding a Ranking question to a Survey and wanted to make sure that the participant actually ranked the various options and didn’t just submitted the default order. I tried marking the question as “Required” but when previewing the survey, having the question marked as required didn’t actually do anything.Has anyone had this same question before? How to make sure the customer actually reviewed the ranking? A matrix type question could also help here, but then the customer can give the same score to more than one option, right? Thank you!

Survey Links

We’re currently using JO’s for our project close out surveys.  Some of our project managers have wanted to have more control over sending the surveys but that involves an anonymous link.  Is there any way a non-full user can send a survey so it can connect to a clients account?  Does anyone use any other tools that can integrate with Gainsight that would allow a non-Gainsight user to send a survey and have it come back into Gainsight and connect to the account and respondent on the account?

User API - How can I get a user's badges in realtime?

Hello all -I am in the process of setting up a series of Tray.io webhooks to enhance gamification in our Community, but running into a small issue.In order to check what badges a user has, I am using a get request /user/{id} which returns user information, including a list of badges that they hold. However, the information contained in this get request seems to updated infrequently.As an example, if I award a badge via a webhook (or manually), I can see it within the Community immediately by checking the user profile. The backend definitely recognizes that the badge has been awarded, and API calls to remove the badge function normally. However, the get user request does not update this information in real time - I haven’t been able to determine the exact lagtime yet but it seems to be at least 30 minutes.Is there a better way of getting realtime information of a user’s badges through the API?Thanks,Tyler

Using inferred Country data for reporting in Query Builder

I am trying to pull a report on user activity by country for an all hands session and while i can see the inferred data in the user and account reports, when using using query builder - all reports come back empty when i try to use country code or name. what gives?

Aspect ratio for embedded/in article images

I know what our best practices are for the featured article images but am wondering if there’s a recommended aspect ratio or maximum width for embedded/in article images. We are wanting to publish an infographic that tallies community stats for the year (so fun!) but our outside design agency is needing more guidance on best practices for designing embedded graphics. Maybe just the article width so we can better anticipate/manage compression? Thanks so much if anyone has found that magic ratio for me to add to our creative brief template!
