Tracking Employees within your Communty

We are trying to get and track our employees within our community, separately from our users.How do you track your employees? special badges? custom roles? How do you report this?How do you incentivize being within your Community?

Per Product Signed Up Date/New User Count

We have users that can access multiple products. They can also onboard to these different products on different days/timelines. Such as, they could be a user of one product for a year then pick up another product of ours. We use the same User ID for the user as they adopt more of our products. The issue that we are running into is that Gainsight PX only captures "Signed Up Date"  once, for the first time that the user is initially seen. So we have no way to know when that user's first session was in a new product. We are going to overcome this with a custom field for "Product XYZ Sign Up". This however does not give easy reporting capability as there is no analytics report type that does over time. The default widgets for "New User" only reference the "Signed Up Date" field. Making it impossible to have multiple date fields that can be reported on. Is there a way to get the “New User” graph to be product specific? Is there anyway to even visualize the new custom field that we populate

Calculating Rank using existed field value in Rules

Hi Team. Recently, I came across this situation where I need to Provide Rank based on some Numeric field Values.I have accomplished this logic using the Gainsight Rules Engine. And below are the steps to create Rank. First of all, the flow which I am going to show you that helps, if your data set has duplicate values or distinct values as well.Example, my data set is:And the output is like below In order to get that required output below are the steps that we have to follow in Rules Engine. Note: the steps which I am going to explain, will be the same for both types of data (Distinct or Duplicate)  Step 1: Fetch the Data set with the Numeric field(in my case it’s ARR) on which we wanted to apply Rank.Based on the above sample example data the output of the step 1 is Step 2: Create a Transform task in which pull the numeric field(ARR) in to the Group By Section and drag any other field(Account ID or Name) in to Show and apply count on it.So the output of this task is Step 3: Create one

Viewing Multiple Properties for Custom Events at the same time?

Hi All!! I’m struggling a bit with some custom event reporting and hoping to lean on the experts here for some help! We are collecting a custom event for a backend job that processes a number of records, and we are collecting a number of relevant properties along with that custom event: StartTIme, FinishTime, CountOfRecords, and DataSize. I am trying to find a way to extrapolate total job runtime (ie, FinishTime - StartTime), and ideally tie that to either number of records or total data size. Unfortunately, the only way that I know to capture or view specific property values is through the Query Builder which, as far as I’m aware, will only let me view one property value per custom event occurrence. Is there a way for me to either A) display multiple custom event properties in the query builder table (or in another report in PX!), or B), run a report to do that FinishTime - StartTime calculation for me? Zapier Consumption

Good Day to All,As we set up some automations using Zapier in our not yet launched community. I was wondering if anyone had guidance on how many tasks per month they use?👀looking at you @DannyPancratz . Gainsight has now added Viewer+ Analytics (paid) license which enables all stakeholders (such as Leaders or Sales persons) to better understand trends in your customer base with access to actionable insights that span your entire book of business. Users with this license can access additional features (than Viewer licensed users) such as Horizon Analytics Dashboards, CX Center (if purchased) and Renewal Center’s Analyze View (if purchased).IMPORTANT: Viewer+ Analytics license type only works with Horizon Dashboards. As an admin, you must migrate your tenants to Horizon Analytics in order to leverage this feature. How can I configure Read-Only access to the community for employees?

How can I grant “Read Only” community access to employees?  The use case is that we want to encourage employees to monitor what our customers are saying in the community but prevent them from posting until they have approval and training. Another use case is Sales people showing the community during product demos.  We do want them to showcase the community but don’t want them to post or reply while logged in as a “demo user,” and we want to be able to filter these users out of our monthly reports.  I tried searching for articles and other discussions on this but didn’t find anything.

P360 Attributes widget is not loading

I’m looking to launch the P360 to our internal team but the Person / Company Person Attributes fields are not loading for me. When previewed, every other widget is giving a preview, except for that one.Is there a known bug that is causing that widget to not load in the P360?

Data Designer - Formula Field - Date - Is this a bug?

Im trying to create a date difference between two date fields in data designer (Created Date and Current Date) say a Success Plan.When creating a formula field for date type, Im confused why the second parameter wont load any date related field? Instead its showing an integer field. Also why it wont show option for “Today’s date” as it is available in Reports formula field? This seems to be a huge gap and a bug?

How to update attributes of inactive users who aren’t logging in anymore?

In our application, users can be deactivated and they no longer login. We want to sync this status to a custom attribute in Gainsight. The user is not logging in anymore and therefore the identify call cannot be called. How can we update the attribute in Gainsight?

Copy text form word to a article

I am moving a word manual to out knowledge base. This manual contains a lot of screenshots/images. Is there a easy way top copy them so that the images stay in the article and I don't get an error when publishing about the amount of caracters.

Badge Notification Email Editing and previewing

While editing email notifications for Badges. I came across the fact they were able to take html (Thanks @olimarrio )  BUT they do not get a preview like in the system email editor. So I used an online html viewer to test the html I would then paste into the very little text box on the badgehttps://html.onlineviewer.net/ Works a treat for identifying formatting issues or poorly chosen color schemes.

Best practice Reassign CTA's when a CSM is no longer an employee

I had 2 CSM’s who are no longer with the company so their book of business was reassigned to new CSM’s. The CTA’s are still in the old CSM’s name, what is the most efficient way to reassign their CTA’s to the new account owners?

Implementation of gainsight widgets using AURA components or LWC components in Salesforce

Hello Team,As currently salesforce is planning to deprecate the VF page and migrate lightning Aura or LWC components in salesforce in the near future and no deadline is provided. Now Gainsight currently support only the VF page and components to embed the Gainsight widgets in salesforce. Questions on Capabilities in Inline Editing

From customer:  EXAMPLE: we have an attribute field called sub onboarding type, there has been cases where we need to do manual updates. In this example, it would be in relationship R360 under one of the tabs. In GS knowledgebase, it references being able to mass edit in My portfolio, however, the needed field are not able to be brought in this pre-build widget. So we are trying to find a better way to do inline editing for objective that’s high volumn. It is often very time consuming to click in each customer, then relationship, then the attribute type for each customer to make this update. Is there a better way to make this update without using rules or automation?

Site identity gone?

I’m not sure if I’m remembering things correctly but when I used to go to control > customization > header I used to be able to see a section in here for site identity and I was able to put our company icon. Also our icon on the address bar has been missing all day.

Success Plan export

I was working on my XYZ success plan and decided to export it so I can see how it looked. I always share my screen during my meeting and work that way, but wanted to share something on my email and was hoping with the recent release maybe this feature had been improved. Well it exports all CTAs and Tasks, not just for the success plan you are on. Well and after further looking, it isn't even success plans it is just CTAs. You used to be able to export the success plan. If you are on the cockpit for your relationship, the success plan CTAs do not show up. The only way those show up are if you are on the Main Cockpit off of the menu.Here is an example. I am trying to export my plan for XYZ - It doesn't list them at all. Would be nice to have a more user friendly way to export Success Plans so you can email them as updates or use in presentations. I share my success plans with my customers and they can add comments and updates but it would be great to have a friendly output. Here is a scr

How often does CC Smart Assistant refresh it's corpus?

This article used to have information about MDS, but we moved that to another release. How many of your ideas are duplicates?

We found out recently that 20% of all ideas submitted to our Community have been duplicates.I was curious if this was typical across other communities, how many duplicates do you all get?Second question, have you found any effective methods for reducing the number of duplicates that come in?
