Discuss Gainsight Products

Hello, I’m looking for a definitive recommendation of the right way to pull a report of my top internal employees’ user activity for the year within my community. The out-of-the-box options that Gainsight provides seem close, but not all the way there - would be eager to know if I’m missing some obvious filtering that would help me! What I’m looking for: A list of community users from within my company who have been active in the community in the last year. I can determine this list either by email address (containing our company domain) or by custom role (which all employees are labeled with). Ideally, the users would be identified by email address too, and not only by username.  How much they contributed to the community - essentially, the number of posts they’ve made - within a specified time frame. The options I’ve considered and where they’re not meeting my needs:The user CSV export within analytics. This doesn’t work because it only includes users who registered for the communit

Hello! Someone on my team really needs Dark Mode, and unfortunately the browser extension he uses crashes Gainsight after 5-15 minutes of a window being open… his list of extensions and mine are pretty close, so I thought I would ask here if anyone is successfully using a Dark Mode extension with Gainsight, ideally using Chrome browser. Ideally someday Gainsight will solve this in the product, but I see it has been an open request for six years so that seems unlikely any time soon. Thanks in advance! Dave

Hi Community!I’m trying to edit a table that I pasted into a spoiler thing but it’s very hard to do so. I only managed to erase the content but the column is still there. Below is a screenshot of the current state of my table - I’d like to get rid of the column with yellow rectangles. Any ideas/tips on how I could edit this? It’s worth mentioning that erasing the whole table is not an option, I’ve tried it as well but either I’m not doing it right or this is not possible.

What automation have you implemented recently in your communities?

For the AI recap in the admin dashboard, which summarizes the most recent 10 unread tickets, I have some questions How often does it refresh Is it possible to export this into slack for example?

I used to use “greater than “as a parameter to filter the template model that participants in my program would receive. This option is not available in the new editor. Have you encountered the same problem? How do you recommend I proceed?

This is a stretch but is anyone measuring sentiment in their community? If you are, how are you doing it?We have a team of social listeners who copy and paste every post we get from community into Salesforce and mark it as positive, neutral and negative. It’s a lot of work and we’re looking to automate here and there. Any insight would be very helpful!

Hey everyone!First time Gainsight user here and first time Gainsight community post :) Question - is there a way to reward members who sign into the community a badge based on a certain day they sign in? Is there also a way to customize how we reward badges automatically besides the manual option? For example, say we have a set of tasks we want a member to complete and once they do that they get a badge sent to them?Cheers!

What are benchmarks teams have for response time to posts? ie what is your desired average response time to customer question.

We have a course that has a quiz. We have it set to allow 3 retakes of the quiz. We also have a milestone set that they have to pass with 80% in order to complete the course. However, on the first try of the quiz, if they don’t pass, they don’t have any option to retake the quiz. Can you not have milestones if you want to allow retakes and vice versa? Learners are getting stuck and I can’t see anyway to get past it except for completely resetting all their course progress (not just the quiz). Any suggestions, or is this just not possible in CE (Northpass)? Thanks!

We are launching to a new CS team soon, and we would like to update a large number of “people” in P360 that in our previous solution were marked as at risk.I know that in P360 you can create an Activity related to the contact and mark the “at risk” checkbox. Is there a way to do the update more at once?Note: right now no contact in P360 has any activities created yet.

Hi everyone,Our community launched ideation last fall and just as you might imagine, we eventually began having some duplicate idea submissions. Thus far, we’ve only used the merging feature for these duplicate submissions. I was surprised that the idea being merged remains active and searchable. I’m curious about the logic behind this and why merged ideas continue to be separate topics. Isn’t the reason for merging to consolidate similar user submissions and reduce clutter? I’ve seen the conversation about removing the ability to vote on merged ideas, but it doesn't seem to address why the merged ideas remain discoverable.Again, we’re new to ideation and so I’m just looking for people’s insights and why the merging feature functions as it currently does. Thanks everyone! 💪

I started this because keeping content fresh in the mind of a constantly growing and rotating audience is impossible.  If they don’t know it exists they won’t search for it, and any lessons shared in an article older that 2 weeks means that it has a good chance not to be seen by everyone.   I also had an issue where all my Subject Mater Experts where always too busy to create new content for the community.   Then it dawned on me.  I don’t just have internal SME’s I have an entire community of SME’s with 3 years of content!   I can take an LLM to find any community question with best answer and resurface it as an article! Now I needed an agentic solution to make this happen.  Gainsight CC doesn’t have yet.But we all use Zapier and they just rolled out Zapier Agents.  The planets are aligning!  After a few minutes I settled on a solution:I created a Zapier Agent, that pics a random post for a different 3 month time period for each day of the work week. It picks a random customer question

Hey everyone,During our last Office Hours, one of you asked a really thoughtful question about how AI could help with content refactoring, scheduling, and interest-based notifications in communities. They weren’t able to join the live discussion, so I’m bringing it here. Because honestly, this is exactly the kind of forward-looking conversation worth having together. We’re not just curious about if AI can help, but how it can make your community more engaging, personal, and easier to run.🔁 Content RefactoringCould AI help refresh older posts, summarize long threads, or even suggest new formats for top-performing content?📅 Smart SchedulingWhat if you could predict the best times to post or automate follow-ups based on community activity, without losing the human touch?🔔 Interest-Based NotificationsImagine members getting nudges about topics they genuinely care about, not just what’s new. How could we make notifications feel helpful, not noisy? At Gainsight, we’re already investing in AI

Hi, we have created an S3 bucket for Gainsight following the setup tutorial, and we're now trying to connect it to Fivetran. However, we’re getting a 403 access denied error (see image) when testing the connection. The issue is that I don't have visibility or access to modify the S3 bucket permissions myself. Could someone help troubleshoot this? Thanks.

How is everyone using AI in their communities? Right now our team is using AI to curate content and ideas for engagement plans but would love to know what others are doing!

I’m curious to know if anyone has created a customized experience for customers in a specific industry (vertical-focused). If so, could you share examples of industry-specific topics we could create in the community, along with any best practices or tips around personalization and customer engagement especially what worked well and what didn’t? Thank you.

Some users on our Skilljar-powered Academy report embedded YouTube videos displaying this error. They are signed into Skilljar, but this error occurs because they are viewing the embedded YouTube video without being signed into YouTube. Is there anything Skilljar can do to prevent this? YouTube likely identified this traffic as potential bot traffic. Can Skilljar not do anything to convince it otherwise?Do you think advising users to log in to their own YouTube account would be helpful? I’m not sure if the embedded video is aware of whether the user is logged in or not. I will ask them to try for now, but any advice would be appreciated.attn @Dean Spalding

Is there any recommendation from Gainsight how to manage these considering we only are allowed one key at a time, and users change like all the time?

Hello !!Happy New Year !!Has anyone successfully integrated any of the Gen AI tools (Gemini / ChatGPT) with your Communities? What I want to achieve short term - Auto-summarizing topics

I am trying to get my head around tracking quarterly retention for our community using PX.I am using the retention report set up as below. The results then show users with activity in month 0 vs month x.How (if I can) monitor users with activity in (Q1 vs Q2)i.e. a group of months and a group of months. Any thoughts? Thank in advance.

Hello! I’m new to Gainsight CC. I took a look at the API documentation but could not find what I needed. I’m looking for a way to delete attachments and images from conversations with the API. Is there any way to accomplish this? Thanks (I added an unrelated attachment to this post just to try it out.)

Add a Milestone  Milestones are a helpful way to ensure your learners are engaging with content in the way you need them to. 👀(More FAQs listed at bottom of page on Milestones!) What is a Milestone?Think of milestones as specific metric learners must meet in order to proceed within the course. You can choose to leverage milestones to encourage users to voluntarily engage with the content in a specified manner, or to require users to complete the criteria before they can move forward in a course. Why would I want to use Milestones? Many Gainsight CE (FKA Northpass) clients create milestones that require users to complete a quiz with a particular score, for example, 70%. The users will not be able to view content or complete the course until they successfully receive 70% or greater on the quiz and successfully meet the milestone. This ensures your learners are absorbing material presented and that you're able to measure success.  How do I set up Milestones? Step 1Start in the Content tab
