Pendo in CC

Hello - Does anyone run Pendo on top of their community? We are having some trouble reporting out the username/userID into Pendo. If you use Pendo, we’re looking to see what data you can pull from Gainsight and how you do it? Thanks!​@darylard

Ability to block phone numbers and other PII data in topics and repliesParked

Now that we have “premoderation” available, it’s time to further develop it  In our community we see customers giving out PII data quite often. They might even title their topic “Joe Average, phone number xx, customer number xxx” etc. You get the idea, right? I would like to be able to determine premoderation rules by which we could prevent people from publishing their PII data.  And by rules I mean the ability to determine a rule that “all topics and replys with 8-digit number be sent to premoderation”, “all topics and replys with serial numbers be sent to premoderation”. This would be something community managers would be able to define themselves, as all companies and countries have different types of phone numbers / personal id’s etc. And they might consist of numbers, letters and special characters. Sound good?

Option to remove "non-editable" error message on C360 WidgetsDevelopment

Something that’s been driving me crazy is this error message that pops up when hovering over a C/R360 widget that you don’t have access to edit: “You do not have the required permission to edit the widget data. Please connect to your GS Admin.” Why is this (grammatically dubious) message even needed? Also, it’s distracting because in this particular case, I have the widget linked to a related list report, so the end users need to click on the widget in order to quickly traverse to the related report. This is very slick and useful functionality but is partially ruined by the above message popping up every time. Please consider fixing this or at least giving admins the option to turn it off.

Sync CS Tasks to SFDC Opportunity

Hi Gainsight Community, Our goal is to set up a bi-directional sync from GS CTA Tasks to SFDC Opportunity tasks.  The Task Syncing options available OOTB (Auto sync or Bi-directional) only sync the tasks to the SFDC Account.  The CTAs are triggered via rules from SFDC Opportunity as a source and we utilize the Linked Object through the rules actions.  Regardless of the linked object showing the correct SFDC Opportunity, the tasks all sync to the SFDC Account tasks.Our Goal Workflow: CTA is triggered via Rules from SFDC Opportunity and created at Company level in Gainsight. All CS Tasks sync from GS to the linked SFDC Opportunity and appear under Opportunity Tasks (NOT Account Tasks).  This post was the only one I could find that is close to what we are trying to accomplish with CTA Tasks syncing to SFDC Opportunity Tasks:“I feel most would agree that if I want to link a CTA to an Opportunity, one would also want the ability to choose to synch the Timeline entries to that Opportunity’s

If I switch from Sync Leads to Sync Opps in production, will the previous CSQLs historical data be deleted ? What happens to the CSQLs that have been created after switching sync option ?

Hey, Just found out that the images in one's signature are counted towards the 5 attachments limit in the email to timeline functionality. Is it possible to count only the actual attachments and take the images in signature in consideration only for the size limit? What do you think? Thanks, Lucian

Spam prevention - algorithm block more posts than before

I dont have hard data, this is just a hunch, but I think  we have more posts marked as a spam than before.And the problem is because they are ok posts, they should not be marked as a spam.There are no links, or promotion, or suspicious text, images, nothing.No matter are you new member or active member.Have you seen this also?

Support parent/child hierarchy for product areas/features in Ideas and Product UpdatesDevelopment

The hierarchy for Product Updates and for Ideas is flat, as in there is only 1 level. Our organization has multiple “Products” that each have a set of “features”. I would like to see Product Updates and Ideas both support a “tiered” structure for these products & features. Things I’d like to see:Filter Ideas and Product Updates by Product AND Feature Allow customers to select Product AND Feature when submitting an Idea Allow customers to subscribe to a certain product/feature to receive notifications when new updates/ideas are submitted Ability to customize the terms Product and Feature  I imagine the hierarchy would work as follows:Product A Feature A Feature B Feature C Product B Feature A Feature B Feature C Features might be conditional based on the Product that is selected, or if needed for product simplicity the Product could be an unselectable “parent” similar to Parent Categories for Community Categories that only helps organize each feature.

Hi All!I have a really important use case that I’m currently unable to deliver. I need to filter a report based on dates that are GREATER THAN the date stored in a different field value. I can compare the field values, but my only options are equals or not equals. I need the option to choose >, >=, <, <=. Can this be added relatively easily? It would be HUGE for our team.  Thank you!Dave G

Enable Filters in Data Designer AdministrationNew Idea

In the Rules Engine, there are numerous filters available that allow us to quickly narrow down to a subset of rules (target object, source object, created date, created by, etc.).  Why does this not exist for Data Designer? There are columns available in a list view that I can use for sorting I suppose, but what I really find myself needing is figuring out which DDs use certain objects as a data source - for example, show me all DDs that use “Success Plan” as a source object. Right now, I’m entirely dependent on solid naming conventions and even then I have to individually investigate each asset. Thanks for considering.

Profile Picture Selector

Has anyone created a modal pop up that allows users to select their user profile picture from a selection.Here is a mockup of what I would like to create. I have made it with HTML and CSS. New topic, default is "Question". Is it possible to change this?

People wants also to discuss, not just ask questions. They don´t remember swap the mode, so we have bunch of discussions with question format.Is this possible to change somehow, that new topic is default as a discussion? Control I think so no but can you Gainsight change this for us?

Hi, I noticed that the image size became smaller for featured topics, and I wanted to see if this is an issue on my end or something that was changed for all customers?The image size use to be wider and now its just a box

How to Prep for Notification Center GA?

I’ve heard a general ETA of “January” for Notification Center generally availability* (GA). What does GA look like for customers / community managers? It it something that’s available, but we have to turn on? Or is it something that gets enabled for all when it’s ready?I ask because I’d like to plan the comms and supporting FAQs necessary for enabling this on my community. If I control when it’s turned on post-GA, then I have the flexibility to launch the comms assets in tandem. If I don’t, then I need to prioritize those assets early in January. *understanding and acknowledging that product development and release timelines are fluid, etc.

Image Specifications in WidgetsOpen

Earlier versions of widgets (ex. Quick Links) would specify the image specifications for the images that might be uploaded. It’d be good to bring those back and standardize as part of the widget customization experience. I know that recently some image specifications/dimensions were updated to standardize across different modules/widgets. And while style guides and templates exist if you go searching, I’d rather not need to do that (and/or wonder if it’s still up-to-date) when I’m customizing widgets.

Email Campaign Metrics: Why don't Clicks show in Opens?

I’ve been piloting a community newsletter via the Email Campaigns feature for the past 4 weeks. In looking through my metrics, the recipients that show in my Click-through rate metrics are never included in my Open rate metrics. But… you have to open the email to click one of the links. Is this intentional or is it a bug? Based on the definitions in the tooltips and documentation, and my past experience with similar email metrics, I had assumed these metrics were like a funnel, rather than separate categories for recipient actions.

FYI: There is often a delay in when user data updates for API calls

In testing an automaton I am building, I noticed that User meta data takes some time to process and update in the API. My use case was around the number of topics, but I’d expect similar things for other data points and fields. Using myself as the test case, I did the API call to GET user and saw that I have X topics.  I posted another topic I ran the API call again, got the same exact # of topics Tried again every few minutes with the same experience It seems to updated in various intervals >30 minutes I’ve experienced this delay for both types of user calls: /user/{id}  /user/{field}/{value}Shoutout to ​@tnelson who highlighted this insight as a pain point in this question:
